This is a fairly busy area so keep that in mind when stopping by. My experiences with mobile orders are 50/50. Half the time I don't actually get what I order. In person is not so bad except I'll find out my drink actually contains whole milk 30 minutes after ordering something with a dairy substitute. This Starbucks is in a little shopping center that is constantly transforming. It's been a while since I visited , yet is stays busy. New faces but still friendly . Like many coffee shop is conveniently located down the street from people residency's there is an apt complex located in the shopping center and several businesses. Parking is usually available but you might have to wait a little for a space to open, fun fact, first 2 hours free then you have a simple app you download and pay for extra parking time . People come and stay for a while though plenty of sitting area . Inside or out. The staff is friendly and busy so please bring your patience . Only one machine or two but things can get a bit crazy. Grateful for the patience specially when you want something new to try. Today I wanted a big cortado. Nothing that the barista did wrong . But I changed the recipe so it became a latte with ristretto a one shot of pecan and maybe a shot of blind espresso with coconut milk. the manager wanted me to let me know how it taste once I got. I did but it wasn't my favorite! But this was my fault. She offered to make a new one , but it was real busy and I did not want to wait but was told I can come back for a new one . They are close and I will. The next time I will stick with original recipe. We have to understand the chemistry of recipe , you change it , you will taste it . Overall , if you don't mind busy , peak times or rushes think about traffic times :) they are pretty quick ,and if you are not satisfied please address with kindness and they will do there best to correct it. This particular Starbucks is located at the Modera Tempo Apartments, and getting in and out is a bit tricky, as Van Dorn and Pickett can be a bit congested during rush hour. As other Starbucks, the menu offers various freshly-brewed hot and cold coffee, teas, bottled drinks, smoothies, handcrafted sodas, frappes, sandwiches, and pastries. The place itself is decorated well, with the dark wooden decor and decorative mirrors. I just wished that the tables and the chairs are wiped down frequently, as the surfaces are usually dirty and sticky. I recently got their Caramel Frappuccino with extra caramel, and this did not disappoint! I love that this place is super generous with the caramel (and, I mean SUPER generous with their caramel drizzles!)! I'm a total fan of their Iced Lemon Pound Cake, as it has a strong lemon flavor, and the pound cake is always super moist and yummy. Great with a hot cup of tea or coffee. Efficiency at it's best!!! As soon as you walk you are greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. As you enter the range of calling out your infamous request to the barista, one person takes you food request,another takes your drink request who happens to be the same barista who rings up your hearts desire in a matter of seconds. A few moments later, your name is called at the opposite end of the counter. Parking is horrendous as it is located in the bottom of an apartment complex. There are very few spaces in the tiny lot, with a sprinkle of street parking as well. However, despite the disturbing state of parking, this is one of the few locations that runs like a well oiled machine. This Starbucks served as my go to office for awhile. I think what's hard about this place is that sometimes you have to wait a little bit to get a parking space. The parking spaces say 2-hour limit but I clearly stayed past that time. This location is especially busy and people are constantly working on their laptops, so they are quite busy. At times I see that people are constantly ordering online as they prepare these and put the orders to go in their designated section. I have run it into some folks I work out with at the gym around the corner and have run into friends as well. I wish that they had a little more tables here so I could have my own and not be at the communal table. That is how busy it gets. Oh yeah when I've come here I've ordered food, coffee and tea. Overall, great customer service and the beverages I order depends on my mood. Nothing against this location, but I'd rather go and drive to place where I don't have to fight for a parking space and admittedly this is one of those smaller Starbucks in the area. Overall, the coffee is good and they have different options of food such as meat and cheese package and sandwiches. Expect to wait over at-least 10-15 minutes to get your food if you come in around 730am. Literally no outlets to be found except by the windows. So trying to find space to do some work may not be the best spot for you if you need a computer. Seems kind of unorganized back there behind the counter lol. I usually like the service at this Star Bucks but on 9/4/21 at 6:30 in the morning I stopped by on my way out of town. They were out of dark caramel for the macchiato and I asked the cashier; a young man for a substitute suggestion. He was resistant to suggest an alternative to my usual. He was very disinterested in helping. I left and got my coffee drink as Dunkin Donuts up the street. This place is really nice but the layout inside and out can be a nightmare. First of all, parking is always packed when I come here, and it seems like people are fighting for spots nonstop. Secondly, there is space inside, but the nature of where people wait for drinks means that there's frequently a large crowd of people to wade through right at the entrance. Ordered an impossible sandwich (veggie) but got the sausage (meat); plus, I had to ask the barista switch my drink to oat-milk and she said there were 3 shots in the flat white (grande flat whites get 3) but there were not. I absolutely LOVE this location and the fact it is so close to my house is bonus points. I came here for the first time on Monday before work and this will definitely be my go to location. I was even amazed when I walked in and the cashier was calling everyone by name before taking their order (i assume they are residents in the complex above or just regulars) in the middle of taking an order for the customer in front of me the cashier answered the phone for an order and was just as pleasant on the phone as he was in person. It definitely takes a certain personality to work in the service environment and deal with customers but this cashier (Asian guy cant remember his name) has definitely set the bar. Beautiful space, nicely decorated, lots of space, organized displays. The staff was very friendly. I just ordered an iced coffee and the employee taking my order asked me if I'd like to add any sweetener or flavors to it. I declined but I like that because as Starbucks I often unsure of all my options with items on the menu. I bright the whole milk carafe to the counter to have it refilled and they already had a full one prepared in the fridge. Fast and courteous service. read more

Never rated a Starbucks before but this one is pretty disappointing. It's closest to my home so I wish it was better (have gone over 20x since i moved here). The staff can be friendly but they aren't bright or who ever is training them isn't doing it well. My drink is pretty simple and rarely changes but it never tastes good (Grande iced sbux dbl shot with coconut instead of regular milk and 1 pump of syrup instead of 4, so really i get less than what the original recipe calls for). I'm not sure how the espresso tastes different than when I get it from the good Starbucks I go to (Barcroft Plaza). It always tastes off or burnt. I've been charged different prices for the same drink, its typically a $4 drink. I know districts vary but there should be a standard way of ringing it drinks (again training/management). Recently an employee wanted to argue with me about the price, he was charging $5.05. I told him that was off, I asked questions trying to understand how he came to that price. I even pulled out my phone to show him that it's $4.38 on the mobile app. It was something about coconut milk and splashes vs light vs regular. If you know what a Starbucks Double shot is, it doesn't have more than 2oz of any sort of milk you put in there. I even showed him if you change the light to regular coconut milk, it doesn't change the price. He said that it was "taxes". I couldn't believe this guy, but I honestly felt bad...the store manager was behind him too. She said nothing! So I said, "well can I just order through the app then?" He said yes, and I did. Another thing happened in the winter when I was feeling spontaneous and ordered a Juniper latte. I don't like a ton of milk so i ordered a Short (smaller than a tall if you don't know) and asked for just one pump of the syrup. Plenty to taste. They charged me $5 and some change for that when behind them the sign said it was $4.95 for a grande! What in the H E Double hockey sticks?? I called corporate of course because they used the "We don't control the prices" line. They credited my card back but that was it. I went back to the store to talk to the passive manager I mentioned above. She wasnt rude but kind of threw her hands up. Shes literally just working just to work. She offered me a gift card and I said "no, i just want the issue to be fixed here, what can you do?" She just said she couldnt do anything and told me it was the district manager. As if I had more access to the district manager than a manager at the store. I'm sure she has some authority to present the issues, she just didn't want to. Is this what the world has come to, though? Buying people off to shut them up and putting a bandaid over bigger issue? (For the record I did not take the gift card. I don't want money. I want a good beverage with competent staff). Forgive me for making a fuss over some change but over time it adds up. And it just looks like a bad practice when you have different stores and baristas in the same area charging different prices for the same drink. Or charging the same price for large and small beverages with less product! Madness. The customer isn't always right but neither is the employee. I don't understand why they want to play hard ball all the time and give me a generic answer "We don't control the prices." That's the most half-ass customer service thing you can say. I've been in the industry for almost 10 years now and it's just disappointing to be treated like you are a nuisance. I've never been a difficult customer and rarely question it when I can see the employee is new or confused. However, if im being charged more than normal for sub par drinks, I have every right as a consumer to be upset over "just 0.67 cents". On top of that being a regular customer for over 10 years and being a gold rewards member for 9 years. Customer service in a nutshell, "The answer is yes, what is the question?" Barcroft Starbucks near Colombia pike charges $4.19 for my drink and all of the baristas follow suit. And it tastes great! GET YOUR STAFF TRAINED VAN DORN!! You are the reason people say the coffee/drinks taste bad and it's too expensive. In reality even local cafes charge the same for lattes and cappucinos! PS. I will attest to the other yelpers here and say that the Mobile Orders do take longer than they should. read more

Parking is a hard and so is seating. Recommend take out only. Starbucks in general always has wifi campers but this one is particularly bad cause its not students. For the most part, its middle aged to older men skyping, watching youtube, or some other video entertainment. Couple that with not needing to be a customer to sit in there, you have another Starbucks public library. read more
