I was referred to Isabelle for a jewelry repair - it was a piece with high sentimental value, but nothing expensive. She did a beautiful job finding a chain to extend the necklace that was an amazing match - link style, metal color and luster. And she charged very close to nothing. Her shop is a treasure house of fascinating objects - from one-of-a-kind Indigenous pieces to fabulous kitsch. I found a wonderful pair earrings in sterling inlaid with turquoise, onyx and whatever the love coral colored stone might be. I have known this woman for over 40 years. Isabelle truly skillful in her passions of an artist. Isi as I've called her is French Tunisian.She brings a professionalism of a shop owner from a bygone age. You could perhaps find another in our country but I want to say no you would not. I remember years ago 2 women walking very quickly through the streets a London district dressed in an era of Burlesque with bright colored long dresses matching feathered hats beautiful high leathered laced boots arms joined as women did back then talking back and forth with their secrets and perhaps guarding themselves from advancing gentlemen to tell them," we are not available!" go away! " but maybe the cutest one can follow us to the theatre if you behave yourself! ". haha these memories I cherish as all of us have those absolutely beautiful moments in time we did not expect but so unexpectedly wonderful! I have for the past 8 years when I recollect my sixtieth birthday in London I always think to myself " Isabelle would have been one of these women !" I have seen for myself alot of the beautiful work Isi has done while going to her shop to flirt with her. If you have not been to her shop n Broadway Street in Burlingame I only wanted to give you a tiny ' what to expect when you enter her shop not a store but much more of an intimacy of the owner her passion her purpose in her life as the security bell rings when someone passes through the door, ting ting all that is missing is a bit of a chubby cat lying in the warmth of the california sun next to an exhibit of a bygone age of fashions that demand 'Attention!' from anyone passing it's physic grip! and you will suddenly be transformed to the era of glamour sophistication 'Tonight I am going to the theatre honey.' afterwards well I know of an outside cafe that begins serving at 9pm in the Bastile next to the Opera House and the crepes are divine!" This store is a legend. I bought a necklace at Isabelle's old location in 1987, yes, you read that right, in 1987! and it is still beautiful and gets a lot of attention when I wear it. When you want to buy yourself a special piece that you will wear for years, this is THE boutique! The owner is truly lovely, creative, and filled with positive energy. How in the hell could it be that I didn't review Isabelle's amazing store. This store only had gotten BETTER since she was forced out of her lease after 25+ years off of Burlingame Ave. I've been a devoted patroness since 2003. Isabelle is eclectic and have everything from vintage to modern in jewelry, shoes, bags and most recently clothes. She has an enormous bakelite, skeleton, Halloween, bridal, and religious section. The entire backroom is a traveling art show you don't want to miss. I most recently was in dire straits for a special outfit. Ladies, if you've checked, no store has anything in stock because of the eocnomy -- dresses just aren't out there. I went into All That Glitters for some Isabelle advice, and OMG! she hooked me up with the most gorgeous head to toe handbeaded vintage dress ala Joan Collins Bitchy 1980s. Great little gem tucked away on Primrose Avenue, right off of bustling Burlingame Avenue. I've always been attracted to this store because of the wonderful, elaborate front window displays (hint: the owner obviously loves Halloween). Something about the vibe of the store reminds me of New Orleans for some reason - maybe it's the owner's crazy energetic demeanor (her name escapes me at the moment, but she's very cool and she knows her stuff). Or maybe it's the eclectic inventory that just provokes creative energy to ooze out - I always walk out of here with more and more justification to get a tiara and some pretty, shiny, dangling earrings that I will most likely never wear considering my low-key nature. But, a girl can dream... I visited the store recently ,accompanying a friend who had some seriously affordable jewelry repair done here. Once you step in to the small space, you'll be in awe (remember, this is from my perspective - I'm a woman and I like glittery, shiny stuff). And it literally surrounds you. Incredible array of vintage, contemporary, ethnic jewelry. There's some high-end stuff right beside some simple $14 silver hoop earrings. Then, you've got the tiaras - I mean, T-I-A-R-A-S tiaras!!! I have absolutely no reason to buy one, but I found myself going through each one with the most critical eye as if I just HAD to have one before midnight struck (yes, it's the inner goddess talking). Walking into her store is like walking into every girl's little girl dress-up dream. From unique antique pins to modern pieces of sparkly perfection, All that Glitters really does have everything imaginable. I originally found Isabelle's store back in 2000 when I was engaged and looking for a tiara. I love how she "adores her brides"! She made me feel so special and it's obvious that she loves helping her customers find the perfect piece of jewelry. She even let me "borrow" two of the tiaras I was trying to decide between and take them to my dress fitting to see what worked best. Who else lets you do that?!! I'm not a big jewelry person, but I love glitter so I had to walk in and see if there was any glitter. What I found was better than glitter. Isabelle, being one of the most adorable, coolest, and nicest persons on the planet, is WAY better than glitter. The selection in her store made my brain SPARKLE SPARKLE SPARKLE. I've purchased a Kenneth Lane snake necklace, gorgeous pearl necklaces, skulls to hang on my ears and neck, other very cool items, and Isabelle even custom fit a few necklaces for Giselle (my chihuahua). I've received many compliments while wearing what I bought from Isabelle's All That Giltters. Isabelle has utterly fabulous taste and it is always a pleasure to visit her store. read more

This review is long overdue. Isabelle is AMAZING and an absolute kick! I happened to find her store while yelp-ing for jewelry for my upcoming wedding this past January. It was the Sunday before Halloween when I called to confirm the store was open. Isabelle said she was planning on leaving within the next few hours so she could close early in preparation for Halloween but agreed to wait for me to come by. From the moment I walked in, I was made to feel so at home. I told Isabelle I was a bride looking for some jewelry and that's all she needed to get going on a dozen ideas after I showed her a picture of my wedding dress. She had all sorts of ideas to try to make sure my dress matched the jewelry and even offered to add beads to match my dress. She wasn't overbearing though, and left me to try on all the lovely tiaras and jewelry on my own. I'm not even a glam girl that really even wears jewelry, but Isabelle's got such a wonderful and varied collection of fancy, simple or total glam jewely, I felt like I was transformed from an ugly duckling into a swan in her store. Who knew there was a hidden princess inside me?!! After over an hour of trying on different jewelry and tiaras, I finally narrowed on a few faves. Isabelle was so wonderful, she let me borrow the jewelry so that I could try it on with my wedding dress to see what worked. I finally settled upon one tiara and Isabelle never pressured me at all. She wanted to make sure I found the right jewelry for me and knew how special my big day would be. I couldn't believe how lucky I was to stumble upon such a gem. I have shopped at Ysabel's fabulous store for over 20 years. I have a collection of vintage and modern costume jewelry, turquoise bracelets and amazing necklaces amassed over the years. I also snagged a beautiful black mini-shift with pearls and crystals all over. It fit like a dream! She has one-of-a-kind finds at reasonable prices and you won't see them on others. Plus, she has layaway and you can easily spend an entire afternoon just trying goodies on. Check this place out especially if you are looking for a tiara (she has a huge selection) or Day of the Dead stuff (there's a whole back room). The customer service is great too. The owner, Isabelle replaced a necklace I had purchased there but broke. I have also taken her vintage of jewelry of my own that needed repair and she did a fantastic job matching the old beads and fixing the piece. A couples of times when I went there to pick stuff up it wasn't ready and I had to wait at least another week, which is the reason I had to give the review 4 stars.
