I called 30 minutes before and they were able to fit me and my friend asap. Muriel did my gelX nails and she was amazing! Great attention to detail and super sweet. I'm so pleased 10/10 will be going again. Also shout out Karen who did my friend's gel manicure which also turned out great

I just left from the nail salon. I was informed the dip powder is $55. The technician didn't tell me she's adding the gel on top of dip powder service. I ended up getting charged $70?!? And the work is really mediocre too ....

Chipped French tips and lifting nail polish

I've been to Kure spa before for a pedicure and it was a great experience. I decided to go back for a regular mani pedi to treat myself. I went in on Thursday afternoon, come Friday 2 of my French tip nails had already chipped and the clear polish started lifting on two nails. I called to see if I could get them fixed since they were just done the day before. I was told they have no policy about fixing them unless it was gel. I asked how much would it be to just change them to gel instead to prevent this from happening again. They told me it would cost me another $40 to redo the manicure with gel polish. Granted I already paid $70 the day before. Kind of wild that after spending that money they wanted me to pay more for a service that didn't even last a full day. Jenny did my pedicure and she is amazing but I probably won't be going back if this what happens when their work doesn't last a day.

Changing my review to 3 versus 5 got a pedicure today and this is one of the worst I've ever received, it was so short my cuticles weren't pushed down, and my callus was not worked on at all. They tried to tell me it's because I didn't get the callus removal. A $45 pedicure should still include some cleaning up of the dead skin. In all fairness, they did offer to work on it unfortunately, I can't spend another hour in the nail salon because I'm a busy mom of two. I'm going to look at other spas moving forward.

Lovely salon nail experience. Very clean and bright space. Reached out on Yelp day before for appointment and Kimberly and Addy were prompt and attentive in their replies. Had eyebrow wax with Karen and glitz and glam mani/pedi with Jenny and Apple. The staff were lovely and were very professional and proficient in their tasks. I got the works which included callous removal,massage and paraffin. I was in and out in 90 mins. I will be back.

I came to kure today for an acrylic removal + gel x french tip. The nail tech did not do a good job with the french tip and it's extremely messy and for the price point. gel x being $75 + french tip $15 +$15 removal you'd expect the service to be better. My nails were also extremely thin and i told her about the sensitivity of my nails and she kept laughing throughout the whole nail appointment - not sure what's so funny when it is genuinely painful and just wanted her to be a bit more delicate with my nails. An expensive experience just to end up with nails i'm not satisfied with. This was definitely the worst experience i've had at Kure - will not be returning again and do not recommend. There's a lot of other nail salons in silverlake that will do a much better job at the same price if not lower.

I am so happy to have tried this place. Very satisfied with the quality and service. In our current covid world - it was great to see that they offered mani/pedi service outside. The owners did their best to make the guests and employees feel comfortable (even in the 90+ degree heat). Amy did a great job and was very attentive. I will be returning! Can't wait to take advantage of their full menu of services post Covid. read more

This is the Brad Pitt of nail salons. Gorgeous, clean, and insanely charming. I went in for a manicure/pedicure and was immediately impressed with the minimalist modern style of the salon and the fact that they carried RGB nail polishes. The service was great too! Oh and if you're indecisive about picking your color like I am, no worries, they are super sweet and will wait for you to make up your mind without giving you the "okay, tick tock" face. All around, I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning! read more

I see Winnie for pedicures and Trish for dip manicure. It's my favorite place and now that they're doing outdoor services I feel super safe (I also felt safe inside). I'm really particular with my nails and I'm so happy I finally found a place that does a consistently great job every time. I've been coming here for about 3 years. I commute all the way from weho but so worth it. Staff is super friendly and sweet and new renovations inside look gorgeous read more

This place is just top notch. The chairs do not vibrate and massage, which I kind of miss, actually, but aside from that, zero complaints. The mood is correct, ventilation is very good, no toxic fumes here! The mimosas are just a touch of class, and their nail polish colors are vast and on point. Summer neons anyone? Sure, I miss the old days of posh massage chairs and long stays in a spa, but Kure is doing high-quality pedicures outdoors, masked, gloved, with plexiglass barriers and I needed the small return to semi-normalcy as apocalypse ash rained on Silver Lake. Excellent work, Kure. Will return, for sure! read more

Got a mani pedi, gel manicure. I showed the technician my photo of white flames I wanted on my nails and she just couldn't get it right, which is fine, except it would have been better if she just told me that so I could do a regular gel. They charged me +$35 for the nail art!?!??? $75 for a BAD manicure. I was shocked and told them that I don't feel comfortable paying this much for nails that are just plain bad and because they are gel I'm stuck with them for 3 weeks. Bad communication. Terrible service and did not work with me at all read more

Kure spa is great! I have naturally long nails that I love to keep up and Kure is always there for me. Very good customer service, kind technicians and great results! I rarely have had a bad experience here and any time something is slightly off, they have always made it right. They have a great selection of gel colors and options. The only thing I miss is the amazing coffee drinks they used to serve (no more since Covid) but that isn't their fault!! read more

I had a basic pedicure ($35) done here today and I loved it! I've tried several salons since moving to L.A. and none have been a good fit. They've had great atmosphere but bad service. Or nice nail techs but they did an awful job with the pedicure. All the elements came together nicely at Kure. The staff is friendly, but not annoyingly familiar like at some spas. The prices are moderate. And my pedicure is beautifully done. I also like that there's parking out front (just four spaces, but still...). They even gave me two mimosas while I was there. I wasn't called in for my service on time (15 minutes later and there were only two women in the spa), but I wasn't in a hurry so it wasn't a big deal. They also did not use heat lamps to dry my nails. I sat there and air dried. Again, not a big deal as I had the time. But know that I got there at 2:30 PM and didn't leave until 4:10. I found it relaxing and unwinding. But if you're in a hurry, this may not work for you. Or perhaps just tell them when you make your reservation that you need to fly in and out. I also like that they had such a large selection of CURRENT magazines - from fashion (Vogue, Elle) titles to high end home design (DWELL) and intellectual fare (The New Yorker). The space is clean and bright and modern without being snooty. I'll definitely go back. read more

Great option in the neighborhood. Friendly, fresh, and reasonably priced. They play alright tunes, have a stack of New Yorkers to catch up on, and will furnish free mimosas upon request. All in all a relaxing environment to get your tootsies done. Their polish selection is great. From the normal OPI and Essie colors to non-toxic something something options. Livia is my go to girl. She does a fantastic and through job. I love her pedicures and I also hear she's great with nail art, if you're into that sorta thing. read more

I got a pedicure here today (my first since February due to the pandemic!) and it was amazing. They have chairs set up outside, are disinfecting things like crazy, and require masks. There was also a plexiglass barrier between the technician and me. The leg massage that I got was the best one I've ever had. Thank you Livia!!!! I will definitely be going back. read more

Stumbled upon this day spa and was so pleasantly surprised! Last minute search for a nearby mani-pedi before dinner time on Sat! Their hours were late enough to squeeze in me and my twin daughters. Facility is modern, clean and well maintained. My daughters and I all very happy with selection of polish, service and the quality of our mani/pedis. And prices very competitive too. I will forewarn, they only accept cash tips, so I wasn't prepared for that (unless you use PayPal or another similar service). Luckily I live in the neighborhood and we returned next day with cash for tips. Also limited parking in front of it's Silver Lake storefront (next door to Red Lion tavern). I will definitely return to this spot, it was a wonderful find :-) read more

The staff is friendly and professional. I've seen many of the aestheticians there and have always left happy with the service. Kevin is my go-to for my bi-weekly pedicure. He's very detail oriented, gentle and does a great job. The space is modern and clean. It's a few dollars more than other places, but for the overall experience, it's worth it. They accept Venmo, which is very convenient. read more

Man. I am on my second gel mani from this place, and they do an AMAZING job. This pic is today: appointment was 13 days ago! 2 weeks, no cracks or breaks, just growth at the nail bed. They have tons of colors, it's spacious and chill, and you can Tip your tech via VENMO. This is a complete win for me, bc I never have cash. Also...they take AMEX. read more

Been looking for a good salon for awhile. Tried many different places, but gotta say Kure spa is the best so far. I took my mother in law with me for gel mani and regular pedi, and she fell in love with this nail shop. Both Angie and Winnie are amazing. They are so attentive, detailed, and taking their time. Great customer service, wide color selection and brands, hip and cool decor. Best part is they offer free mimosa, juice, and water. read more

My cousin introduced me to this wonderful place a little over 2 years ago and I was hooked!! I love this place. Livia is my girl, she's the only one who touches my nails lol. The quality of the work done is great too. My gel manicures literally last with no fading, chipping or lifting for a good 4/5 weeks! Oh, and Mimosas or sparkling water while getting pampered too? I paid $35 for a full acrylic nails and the women that did my nails did an amazing job, my mom told me her massage was also amazing! You should definitely check this place! read more

This used to be a go-to nail spot for me but after a few great stylists have left, they just don't have a good team anymore. the quality of manicure and pedicure you will get here is not good. if they are wondering why they might not be retaining clients its because the staff is rude. They are deeply unprofessional and they do not sanitize/reuse their instruments without cleaning in between. My nail tech pulled many tools out of box marked DIRTY/UNSANITZED and laughed when I questioned it. They will make fun of your body hair if you have it, and will give you a hard time if your nails are shorter. After this has happened three times during my visits here with different techs- I'm over it. read more

Super clean, spacious and lovely service. The atmosphere is elegant, relaxing, and quiet. My pedi still looks awesome after a week. Polish selection could be a little better, and I wished they would use better buffers for your feet instead of those useless, scratchy yellow things. But they were very gentle and the polish application was flawless. No gross acrylic smell either! read more

Kitty gave me absolutely the best waxing experience I've ever had! And she's so nice. The spa is very clean and there's a lovely skylight in the room, so peaceful. She did my eyebrows, lip and chin. Somehow, miraculously, the wax and the tweezing didn't hurt as much as at any other place I've been to, Kitty has a magic touch. And she did this lovely little tiny brow massage at the end. And it was fast and my skin feels so smooth and good. Thank you Kitty!! read more

Best best best nail spot in LA! Above & beyond hospitality, did my nails exactly like how I wanted, and they even have mimosas! Love the spa pedicure it left my feet so baby soft. There's parking right in front. Everybody is so nice and accommodating. They even have gel extensions which is so hard to find in LA. I love Kure and this is the only spot I'm ever going to get my nails done read more

INFECTION ALERT! I went here on 8/27/20 and had John do a mani-pedi. I was so thrilled to indulge in a fun nice thing for myself after months of pandemic lockdown, so I decided to go here since they had outdoor treatments which seemed safer than other places. It was a weird mani-pedi overall because John cut my nails insanely short without asking (never had someone just cut without asking before) but I yelped when he chunked out a portion of my skin where the nail meets the side of the nail bed on my right big toe. It hurt so bad and I knew something was wrong. The next day, the side of my big toenail was tender, red and pussing. I went to the doctor and he confirmed it was infected. I had to take antibiotics for 7 days. I paid more for the doctor visit and medicine than I did the mini-pedi. I wasn't going to write anything... but this week I noticed I have small plantar warts on my foot! So gross!!! I haven't been barefoot anywhere in pandemic other than the one visit here. I am not sure if the warts are from Kure... but it's totally gross, if they are. I hope my experience was a fluke, but I would not recommend Kure. I truly hate to blow up people's spots, but an infection + potential plantar warts is truly a health issue that others should know about. read more

Also had a fill canceled on me two days before i was supposed to come in during a weekend i had an important event. After i found a different salon to go to since my appointment got canceled, ive realized that GBY is not a good salon at all. The new salon i went to wouldn't even do the fill for me because they said i don't have many natural lashes left and if they did a fill on me then it wouldn't last. I had no choice but to have them remove what was left on my lashes and i purchased a growth serum after being advised to take a month long break to grow my lashes back and return for a real individual lash set. I'm extremely disappointed in GBY as they've not only been charging hundreds of dollars for lash extensions made with cheap products but Courtney rushes through appointments and she uses hella clusters on what is supposed to be an individual lash set. They don't care about being honest with clients and that is a huge red flag for me.

There was great, relaxing music to listen to which drowned out any other noise- but it wasn't too loud! Since it's a facial, your eyes are closed the whole time- and so is everyone else's- so it actually felt much more private than I expected. They also provide a private changing room and a lockable locker for your belongings, so I was able to change into a robe and feel completely at ease- no need to worry about keeping your shirt on in an open space. Lani was awesome and walked me through every step of the process, explaining what she was doing and how each treatment would benefit my skin, but I never once felt bothered or pulled out of my relaxed state. It was honestly the most gentle facial I have ever had. While the masks were setting, she massaged my hands and shoulders, which was a lovely touch that really elevated the whole experience. I did get a little chilly, but that is entirely on me- I run cold! Next time I will just ask for an extra blanket! This kind of care and attention made the whole experience feel truly personalized. I left feeling great and will absolutely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

I came back for a refill, and two days later was in some of the most pain I've ever been in due to a cuticle infection. I voiced concerns that my skin was being cut, but they were shrugged off. After coming into the salon to show them the infection, the front desk staff was polite and helpful advising they would reach out to the owner and share photos they took of the nail. Days passed and I followed up again via phone as I didn't hear back. The owner of the salon requested PHI pertaining to the infection, including what Rx I was on, in order to even consider a refund. Initially, a gift card for the amount spent on the service was offered in lieu of a refund. I mentioned I was not comfortable receiving another service, and received a call back letting me know the owner was willing to grant a refund. Overall, the back and forth took about a week and a half. I was new to the entire gelx process, and am posting this review to let anyone else looking to embark on that journey know they should ask questions and voice their concerns. There are seemingly many happy patrons, but this was my individual experience.

I had an amazing experience getting my pedicure! John was incredibly kind, professional, and truly worked his magic. His touch was so gentle and light that I felt completely relaxed and calm throughout the entire appointment. I've been to many other nail salons before, but I've never felt as relaxed as I did here. The atmosphere was wonderful, with lovely, calming music playing that made the experience even more enjoyable. Broke one of my acrylic gel nails a day prior and really needed to get it fixed before a get together. The receptionist was able to squeeze me in for a same day appointment. Was seated before my appointment time and was offered a mimosa, which was awesome. Had my nail fixed in 15 minutes. Only downside was they didn't have the exact nail color to match the other fingers but it still looks great and the service was amazing and quick. The technician Apple only completed half of the service I requested and I had to remind her to finish the job. This left me feeling disappointed and frustrated.
