There is a wide variety of nail polishes to choose from and although I haven't tried it, they also offer nail art. I have visited 3 times and can honestly say that I appreciate their gentleness. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sadly, today's visit was probably the most disappointing experience I've had here, which is especially frustrating because I've been a very loyal customer and have continued coming back specifically because I've always liked this location and the people here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'll start by acknowledging that I mistakenly booked only a manicure when I intended to book a mani-pedi. That was completely my mistake. When I asked if a pedicure could be added, I would have completely understood being told no due to timing, especially with the new store opening later today. Instead, the woman who appeared to be an operations manager or shift leader (wearing the floral dress with the open back) seemed visibly annoyed by my request but proceeded with it anyway. The interaction immediately felt unfriendly and uncomfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What concerned me much more, however, was the pedicure itself. The young man performing my service appeared to be very new and extremely nervous. He was visibly shaking while cutting and cleaning around my cuticles, enough that I was genuinely nervous that I was going to be cut. Multiple normal steps of my pedicure were also missed, including scrubbing/exfoliating my feet. Most concerning of all, I was burned on BOTH sides of my left leg by two hot stones. After this happened, he began asking others for help on how to properly perform the hot-stone massage. I want to be very clear that I do NOT blame a new hire for being new. Everyone deserves an opportunity to learn, make mistakes, and become confident in their position. My issue is with leadership putting a new employee in a position to perform parts of a service that he clearly did not yet feel comfortable or adequately trained to perform--especially when improper execution can physically hurt a customer. He honestly seemed like someone who was nervous and trying his best but had not been properly set up for success. That isn't fair to him either. The entire atmosphere today felt rushed, as though everyone's attention was on getting to the new location opening. If that was the case, I understand that opening a new store is exciting and demanding, but it should never come at the expense of the customers and employees at the original location. Your existing customers are part of what helped make the growth of the business and additional locations possible in the first place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also want to specifically recognize Abby and Michelle because their kindness and hospitality consistently stand out. Abby in particular is one of the reasons I was second-guessing whether I even wanted to write this review or stop coming altogether.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am normally a very generous tipper, try to be kind and respectful to everyone working here, and have genuinely enjoyed supporting this business, which is why today's experience and the noticeable shift in atmosphere recently have been so disappointing. Abby and Michelle are absolutely assets to Bicolor and deserve that recognition. My biggest feedback is for leadership: growth is great, but you have to maintain a pulse on ALL of your locations, not just the newest one. When leadership's attention shifts elsewhere and training, hospitality, safety, and execution start slipping through the cracks at the original location, loyal customers notice. Eventually, those customers stop coming. I genuinely hope today's experience was an exception, because I've supported this location for a reason. But being burned during a service, watching a visibly nervous new employee struggle without adequate support, having multiple steps of the service skipped, and feeling like an inconvenience for simply asking whether an additional service was possible made today's visit extremely disappointing. read more

I mean I need a whole new application the whole manicure is coming off which is crazy for gels that quickly. I'm a beauty pro 20 plus years licensed and the whole bit. I'd follow TJ to Tijuana if he opened his salon there. He does impeccable nail art, and is always up on the latest trends (in case you're indecisive like me and need a second opinion). The manicures always last 3 weeks without any chipping or issues. The Los Feliz location is the second Bicolor location, and it's clear TJ put a lot of heart into the new space. Very spacious, clean, comfortable, with parking in the back (or relatively easy to find street parking). Unreasonably expensive. Very limited, difficult parking. The owner responded to this review in Google Maps but Google doesn't provide me a method of rebuttal. The owner says there is parking to the rear of the building, but there are no signs or easily visible signs directing customers to that parking which would be a great help to customers. Bad pedicure. They didn't remove all the gel off my toes, barely scrubbed my feet at all, and barely removed dead skin. I had to instruct the tech to remove more dead skin and really clean. Just overall careless with the nail prep. Came out looking okay in the end. I was also with my friend and they cut her toe nails so short she was in pain.
