I feel so torn about this place because my experience varies every time I come. My first few times I was so happy with every part of the service. I feel well tended to, and the services were flawless. About 3 times after I was left waiting for over an hour, my technicians would step away mid service, and when I was actually tended to it felt incredibly rushed. It makes me feel like I only want to come when it's completely empty in the shop, or not at all. They don't take reservations, and it's hard to lock down the techs I've found I like best. I don't know if I would recommend at current service which feels a bit ironic considering I will keep trying them out for myself in hopes of chasing my first couple experiences which truly were 2 of my favorite manicures I've received in a long time. read more

The nails I got done. Gel nails. The girl got down on my nails. Had some hiccups with the machine not working, but then it worked ‍. I also got my pedicure. Did the deluxe. My toes feel amazing. Did a dark dark purple. Gotta make sure to add that massage from the chair ladies. I think it was ( thu) that did my toes and then her daughter I believe was the one who did my nails. It's truly hard to compete with the level of talent here, especially at such fair prices and with the convenience of accepting walk ins! Thank you for responding. I want to clarify a key point that wasn't addressed in your reply. During my visit, I specifically requested hard gel, and I was charged for hard gel. However, when I went to a different licensed nail tech after my appointment with your salon, she immediately informed me that the product on my nails was not hard gel at all -- it was far too thin and did not match the structure or durability ofhard gel. This was very surprising to hear, especially after the price I paid and the reassurance I was given during my service. This isn't about the salon being busy or technicians helping each other. It's about being charged for a service that was not actually provided, which is a completely different issue. That alone explains why the quality was poor and why my experience felt rushed and inconsistent. I'm not questioning your staff's effort, but I am holding the salon accountable for misrepresenting the service and for the way my concerns were handled afterward. A simple acknowledgment of the mistake would have gone much further than a generic explanation about being busy. I feel like I won the lottery after going to Khuyen at Chic Nails! It was actually just a fluke that I dropped in as I was taking my dogs to the groomer that is directly next door (who also made me feel like I had won the dog grooming jackpot - see my review for Doggie Land Pet Grooming). From the minute I sat down, Khuyen picked up my hand and I could tell.... She had a master's touch. From the way she handled her tools to her attention to every little detail, it was evident that she would do a great job. I melted into my chair as she went to work and laid her magic upon me. I can honestly say that she did a better job than the salons I've been to in Paris, New York, London, Munich, and so many other places that I have traveled to for work. Plus the salon itself is very very nice. So quiet and relaxing. A big screen tv playing soft jazz with a street scene of Paris at Christmas time, above a wall of hundreds of colors of polish, from pastels to metallics to glitter. Everything is new and very clean and organized. I actually stopped getting nail extensions years ago because I'm so picky, and I could not find anyone on this side of LA. who did a good enough job. They were always SO thick and the wrong shape. They were just not pretty. They would either grow out too fast or break. My nails underneath were always a mess. It's been almost one month and I still didn't feel the need to hide my nails in my pockets. When Khuyen was finished, I could not stop looking at my beautiful nails! That was it. I was hooked. I'm finally back to having nice nails thanks to Khuyen. Just be aware that they do not take appointments-it's walk-in only so plan accordingly. And they only take cash. But there is an ATM to make your life a little easier. read more

Been coming to Chic for years, truly hated life when I had to go somewhere else before they opened us this new spot but now they're back and life is good again. The new spot is so cute, love the new spa chairs and the nail stations. The one thing that I love about Chic is how CLEAN they are. The lighting is always on point too.
