I've been coming here for so many years, and the hospitality is always a 10/10 . It used to be so packed before Covid so I was sad that we walked into a nearly empty restaurant on a Friday night. We ordered the Ayce Kobe-Style beef for $69/person. With that, you also get a shared plate of vegetable, miso soup, ice cream and a bowl of rice. The miso soup was a bit too salty for my taste, but the beef wasn't bad. The restaurant may look outdated but I think this is just how some decor for restaurants are in Japan. Definitely will come back soon!

Enjoyed my dinner here! Love that they had non-ayce options. The half portions was actually a perfect amount of food without feeling stuffed but just right. The broth is how they do it traditionally with a simple water/dashi and kombu broth. Shabu ingredients included are the typical traditional Japanese style veggies including tongho, Napa, carrot, tofu. Everything was simple and clean tasting. The broth became nice and flavorful although still light and was nice to drink at the end of our meal.

this place is very homey and cozy place to eat shabu shabu! We did the ayce option with Kobe beef which came out to 63 pp but there is also a la carte option which is nice, and different tiers for ayce option , regular or Kobe beef option. It seems like it's run by a mom and pop style which is why service is not necessarily the quickest by any means, but the food is good and a lot of booth seating available. At the end there's different flavor options available for ice cream and I opted for the matcha flavor. Super creamy and yummy treat at the end of the meal and it was not too sweet! The restaurant is located on the second floor in the plaza above the marukai market

All you can eat Japanese shabu for $45 per person! They serve amazing pork and beef cuts. This is not a buffet. They serve you in a private and intimate setting. My set came with a big plate of beef and pork. Both were so good. I loved the thinly sliced beef and pork dip on soy and sesame sauces.

One of the best Shabu Shabu in LT, the meats are great and with great peanut sauce, their ayce is best for the price. The service was great and they also offer Japanese skewers, which is another great choice on the side! Parking is validated on the bottom!

Kushi katsu 6 pc platter. Fantastic quality. Goes well with biru.

Kushi katsu resembles the quality I had in Osaka. The shabu meat quality is great as well. This place really deserves more hype.

We were looking for a restaurant with no wait time on a Saturday night, and this was one of our options where we were like "why not"! So we tried this place for fun. Walking in, you can immediately notice that this restaurant seemed like it has been here for quite a long time. Everything does seem a bit old, and even using the restroom, it smelled like incense lol. So we were immediately seated and we decided on this $45 AYCE beef & pork. So this price is actually quite high for AYCE and let me tell you, it is not worth it. The quality of the meat cuts were really low and thinly sliced. I would say the beef cuts were a lot more better than the pork, because the pork was really fatty. Although overall, the quality was very mid. I would say this is like $20 quality price AYCE... maybe even lower. The veggies they offered were also really basic, just cabbage, some mushrooms, some carrots, and this noodle. The sauces here were okay, the peanut sauce was a bit disappointing because it was pretty liquidy and I liked the texture to be thicker. The service here was pretty okay, the checked up on us a good amount of times. Just the food quality here isn't worth it. You can definitely find better quality meat cuts at other shabu places at lower prices.

Must be the protesting activities and approaching 8 pm curfew that may have caused the slackness in service. We are in town for business and have a little one with us. Every food business in the area was closed up and most left for the night except for this restaurant. We were seated quickly. The order part was swift. During the meal, it was difficult to request for extra water, napkins, or utensils because the waitress kept passing us without stopping to check on us. She did bring cute plates and utensils for our daughter to use but this was after the fact that I asked the owner to bring an extra miso and rice. The meat was exceptional in taste but the limited choice of vegetables and variety of protein for $63 per person was quite on the pricey side. The karage was not seasoned well and tasted like it was cooked in old oil. The miso came hot but bland. The rice used on the California roll was mushy. They must've added too much water during the rice cooking process and it turned out paste-like. One positive is 2 of the 3 spicy Thai chili sauce. I stirred the ground red chili sauce and noticed a whitish fuzz on the surface. It smelled fermented but from my experience with fermented Thai chilies, this particular sauce went bad because of inappropriate storage. Another positive is that they didn't charge us for our daughter. The owner was Japanese and very sweet but I believe he needs better waiter/waitress and cook.

Dashi was VERY good. Generous amount of grated daikon. Assort. Tempura: Saw this being served while waiting. Looked really good and it WAS! Large shiitake mushroom. Fan cut Japanese eggplant, kabocha pumpkin, shrimp tempura & two (2) shiso leaves. All VERY crisp not oily. Warm dashi side had deep umami rich flavor. Probably made the legit kombu & bonita flake method. #1 ordered the Miso carbonara: garlicky carbonara served with their signature house-rolled out udon. Wonderful dish. Portion sizes were adequate. #2 ordered the Uni carbonara: same garlicky carbonara with uni bits strewn about. Estimating one whole uni broken. This actually works for ease of eating. Plus, uni ranges in the $18/oz on the low end to $60 or more/oz on the higher end. Yes we love & appreciate their gonads. Udon noodles were chewy, bouncy & worth the wait. Yeah yeah....the dough is purchased. Not house made. But, seriously you've seen the YouTube videos of restaurants specializing in Japan? Yes there are places in LA who make their dough & roll it out. It's Hella lot of work! Yamachan produces large scale udon/ramen in San Jose. It's fine. Let them work out the dough to water ratio. Also portion size was decent since we shared a couple apps. Might want to consider the option of extra noodles. The table to our right full of younger male co-workers were there to socialize. They probably all grabbed an afternoon snack. Was it worth the 30-40 min wait? ABSOLUTELY! Michelle 2025 Star. Yes it's worth the wait even with the sucky parking. Got so excited forgot to take photos of our udon. That's ok. The classics like Niki Udon, Kitsune Udon, and Curry Udon are incredible staples that stand the test of time and simply hold their own. But if there's any restaurant to enjoy the classics and dip into a little fusion cuisine, THIS is a place you should add to your bucket list. Their creamy mushroom udon is phenomenal. Mushrooms are delicately seasoned and cooked correctly, the texture of the noodles have a perfect bounce/chew to them, and that cream sauce? Addicting. This place has this distinct homey comfort type of vibe to it. The restaurant's decorations aren't too over the top. Most importantly, it's such a clean establishment. In my experience, the servers here are a bit soft-spoken. But they're polite and very knowledgeable about the menu. I look forward to trying more dishes off the menu!

It's thoughtful, aesthetically pleasing, spacious, and with parking (valet) on site if you need. I loved the food - all of it. Service also was excellent. The issue was the music and ambiance. I went in search of a peaceful dinner, but the soundtrack was something out of a mall store for teens. Think: Forever 21 or H&M. Unbelievably obnoxious, too loud, and completely out of sync with the food and design of the space. It honestly made it hard to enjoy the meal to the tune of pounding EDM and pop hits of yesteryear. Some jazz, downtempo electronica, Japanese folk classics - or even city pop would be an enormous improvement. Lighting could also dim down considerably at night. It was too flat and too bright. Dimming the overall levels and adding candles or table lamps would improve the experience meaningfully, making things feel more intimate and classy. With some small adjustments, the entire experience could be easily 5 stars. I'd love to go back if things improve, because the food was lovely.

It was confirmed that this role had soy sauce, so I refused the roll, and at first the manager/supervisor was able to rearrange my order to regular 6 hand rolls. The ankimo that wasn't touched by me I asked her if I should give to my peers instead of throwing the handroll in the trash. She said yes.
