A good place for a night out with the girls, Had a 630 reservation so I was a bit quiet, but after seven people started piling in on a Saturday. It was pretty empty for a Saturday since it was cold out The sushi was fresh! I had the umi roll- loved the avocado and fresh fish on top. Lychee tini was strongggg Parking in free garage.

my favorite parts about this place is the ambiance and the dessert. my server was also very attentive. the decor is very modern and nice. and the dessert was nicely presented and tasted great. the maki roll selection wasn't my favorite compared to other restaurants. 3 of them had asparagus in it and i don't like that...and then more than one of the other ones had cream cheese in it and i'm lactose intolerant and can't have cheese. the ones i got were okay though they kind of made me feel a bit sick? main meal wise not my best experience at a sushi restaurant.

Service was absolutely amazing Our waitress was very helpful with the menu Some other best sushi I have had. 10/10 on the sushi rolls 10/10 of the appetizers

Hmm... I would consider this place having "bougie" sushi. Perhaps I'm relating that term with price to food portion. The prices are a bit higher than your typical "premium" sushi places. However, I've paid similar prices for better quality fish. Let's highlight the positives: Great ambiance Decent happy hour menu Good cocktails Service I like their sushi rolls; the rice to fish portion is perfect compared to most sushi places that make gigantic rolls with tons of rice. Personal preference. It's an ideal place for happy hour or a cute date night. I usually sit at the bar when I come here. Attentive service and consistent water refills. The location is across from Memorial City Mall, in the Memorial Hermann medical area. Parking can be tricky. If you can't find parking, there's the garage and valet. Not quite sure on the valet cost though.

Visited for a Friday happy hour as I was craving sushi and stumbled upon this place. The restaurant was fairly quiet for a 6pm experience. I sat at the bar and was greeted warmly. The bartender was attentive and timely. I ordered the lychee martini, garlic edamame, creamy rock shrimp and rin roll. The lychee martini was really good and well balanced. I am normally not a fan of edamame but these were AMAZING, I ate them all! The rock shrimp was just okay, the batter was a bit soggy and not as crunchy as I expected. The rin roll included shrimp tempura and cream cheese and was okay, it tasted a bit bland. I would try this place again to order some other options.

We came during happy hour and were pleased with the prices. We popped in quickly before a movie and the service was very quick. The sushi was good for the happy hour prices, but probably wouldn't want to pay the normal prices as they were pretty pricey.

Sushi all day, everyday Great selection of fresh fish and great service every time! Cute place!

Duck a bit chewy. Sea bass is interesting and poached. Not the way I'm used to having it cooked, but cool to try. Wouldn't try it again. Sushi is solid. Otoro app is good. Foie gras shumei is good due to the foie. The shumei itself is unremarkable.

First time going here, and we had a very good experience! the fish was fresh with a good variety of flavors. We didn't order any nigiri or sashimi this time, instead we ordered a couple of rolls and dishes. The poseidon roll was my favorite! It had a truffle yuzu sauce on it that wasn't overpowering or too savory tasting. The kunseitaro was also another favorite of mine, very good smoked salmon. Service was pretty fast too, but granted it wasn't crowded when we went

Came here with my husband last night after not coming for a while. We usually come on Fridays when they have the live violinist, but even without it we still had a great time. We ordered the $55 four-course meal and added an extra sushi roll on the side, starting with the Hamacchio Sashimi and Tuna Tartare with Taro Chips, which were both fresh and flavorful. For sushi, we tried the Truffle Suzuki, Poseidon, and June Maki rolls, all beautifully presented and delicious. For mains, we had the Sous Vide Wagyu with fig jam, which was perfectly cooked with a sweet-savory balance, and the Miso seared Sea Bass with cauliflower purée, which was tasty though I wish it had been served a bit warmer. For dessert, we shared the Chocolate Brownie Bites with milk ice cream and the Bread Pudding, both were pretty good. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly, and overall the experience was great!. We spent about $200 and I'd give it a solid 8.5/10.

Second, I discovered that they're owned by the same people behind Masraff's. That's a good start. They're located in a shopping center with several other businesses, including a cat vet right next door. While it was busy, I didn't have trouble finding a parking spot. Ambiance (4/5): This is part of where By Popular Demand (BPD) shines. The interior is trendy, with both tabletop seating and more comfortable chairs and sofas. There's a small patio in the front and a larger one on the side. There aren't a ton of seats inside, so think of it as a smaller, more intimate bar. Service (3.5/5): A little slow to start out with as it took our waitress a good while to come and take our order (we were sitting on the front patio). She did apologize for the delay, and she was friendly from there on out, so things improved throughout our evening there. Food (N/A): I had dinner prior so I was on a liquid diet. I have heard they have a pretty awesome steak night on Mondays though. Next time around! Drinks (3.5/5): While they have a full bar, BPD is a cocktail bar. They have 10-12 craft cocktails, plus everything else you would expect at a bar. I went with That Cucumber Drink. I'm always a fan of any cocktail that incorporates cucumber. It was one of the few items on the menu that stood out to me. A decent number of of the offerings are more of your standard cocktails (margaritas, ranch waters, etc.) and a good number have brown liquor (while I prefer clear liquor). Not the best menu for my taste, but that's not to say it's not a solid menu. Next time around, I'll have to stop by for steak night or to try out their food menu.

Me and a friend split the Kebab Land mix that was recommended for 1 person, but it was the perfect amount of food for two people. The shish kebab skewer was super tender and had good flavor and the beef skewer was also tasty, but just a bit tough in my opinion. The chicken was moist and had a good charred flavor. The rice and grilled tomatoes were standard though the homemade bread was a bit thin and bland. Considering the bold flavors from the other elements of the food, the bread did complement it well. (6.5/10) Overall, the food is very comparable to other restaurants that serve this kind of cuisine. I think this place is definitely filling in a gap as there are not many other places in this area that serve this kind of food. If I were craving some kebabs and didn't want to drive too far I would definitely come back here. The owner was also super kind And the service was quick. Something else to note is that they only have bottled water that they charge for but the hot tea is free. The ambiance is super casual and parking is super easy because there are a ton of spots around as it is apart of a huge plaza.

DJ Min who also doubles as the owner kept the mix high energy and it did not miss a beat all night. The bartender Axle was a terrific host taking care of patrons as quickly as they were hitting the bar. Drinks were excellently made and With Soju shots currently at $2 and specialty shots at $3 they can be relatively inexpensive. Just make sure to ask the bartender which shots fall under the special. However be ready for well liquor if you are ordering a mixed drink. James the HookahMan takes care of hookah patrons rather quickly and is very passionate about his flavors and setups making for a very pleasant experience as he takes care of you all night. The only things that need work is the lack of a physical menu for drinks causing you to try and pick something out from 3 screens flashing the menu and specials seemingly at random (I ended up sitting there with my phone taking a picture of each screen before making my order). On a personal preference the murals are beautiful but I feel the private rooms might have served better as private sections not closed off from the DJ music and the rest of the lounge. Makes the place feel a bit tight. I enjoyed my time here and I look forward to frequenting this spot on Saturdays!

The signature cocktails were definitely mixologist curated, well balanced in flavor and alcohol, the espresso martini made with rum as opposed to vodka was probably one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had and I think they should all be made that way now. I visited on Valentine's evening so we did make reservations but I do believe reservations are a standard regardless of the day. My only disappointment was that you have a two hour table time limit which is fine. The problem came in as it was very apparent that a lot of reservations including ours were booked over a private party so we were, albeit politely, rushed to close out before our allotted time limit to accommodate the party reservation. I'm glad we were able to enjoy a good amount of time here but I really feel bad for the people who arrived after us as I'm sure felt the same pressure to leave as well. With that said I would absolutely visit Aye Candy again.

The outdoor seating especially feels elevated now and makes for the perfect Houston brunch spot or night out. One of the best parts about NextDoor is that it's connected to Hungry's, which means you get full access to their menu while enjoying the lounge atmosphere. Being able to order everything from cocktails and appetizers to full meals while at a bar is a game changer. The food is consistently good, the drinks are strong (especially the frozen options) well-made, and everything comes out quickly. What keeps me coming back year after year is the consistency. The staff has always been welcoming and attentive, the crowd is chill, and it never feels overly pretentious or chaotic. It's one of those rare spots that works for everything, whether it's happy hour after work, date night, catching up with friends over drinks on the patio or a solo adventure. Love seeing a longtime Houston favorite continue to evolve while still delivering the same great experience that's kept me coming back for years. Definitely one of my go-to spots on Memorial Drive. My only suggestion is to tell the younger staff members to be conscious of their conversations while guest are dining nearby. I love people watching but I heard a lot of things. It appears Hungry's uses the bar area like a break/training room or to do other tasks like rolling utensils in napkins.
