The steak was okay, not great. Deep fried lobster was good, not great. The bourbon bread pudding was amazing. Service was amazing. Ambience was modern and intimate without trying too hard. Overall, a good experience.

First time trying this place and would come back. The burger was cooked as ordered and the onion rings were hot and crunchy. The sauce was a little spicier that I would normally do so might get that on the side next time. I would not recommend pickle spears on a burger. Although they were tasty they shoot right out the side. Staff was attentive and informative but not overwhelming. I also liked the light up bar.

Had reservations for KVH Chophouse, came in early and was promptly seated at the bar so I wouldn't be left standing waiting. The servers at the bar were excellent in service and make a mean mint julep. Shortly after my time at the bar I was escorted to my table and again the service was professional and acted quickly. Live music was playing and it was jazz, piano and cello. Menu items ordered were the Deviled eggs, which I highly recommend, the Prime rib, wedge salad, and chicken cordon bleu. Only criticism is the crust on the the prime rib was on the saltier side.

Well, I was a little skeptical to come here because I have heard so many mixed reviews, but it did not disappoint!! As a frequent traveler who often bases trips around places we want to eat, I have a lot of fine dining experience. Our experience was close to exceptional! First off our server Maddie was fantastic!!! One of the best I've ever had anywhere. And our food was absolutely mouthwatering, cooked to perfection tonight. We started with crab cakes, which surprisingly rivaled my favorite in Seattle. We shared a Caesar salad, and had the warm buttery bread. I had the steak bites medium well with the whipped potatoes with Demi glaze, which was phenomenal. My spouse had the filet, lobster Mac and cheese and twice baked potatoes. He loved his steak, and he's not easy to impress in that department. His only complaint was the twice baked seemed slightly overcooked. But dang, we were blown away with how quality the food was! Excellent night celebrating our Anniversary. Oh and we did get the carrot cake which we definitely enjoyed but had to take to go because we were stuffed. Also, we were treated to a fantastic piano player who took requests. And we loved the atmosphere and attention to detail in the dining room setup. Highly recommend! Let's keep this place open Wichita!

The food is really outstanding! Every dish we had was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I really suggest the steak bites. It's under the appetizer section but you can do it as a meal then get a side Caesar salad! Hands down, some of the most delicious food I've eaten lately! Great to hang out and catch up with the girls and listen to great piano music! Our waitress Meaghan was so great! We love her.

Went here tonight for our Anniversary dinner. I will say we have found our new favorite special occasion and place! This gem is neatly tucked away in the neighborhood and it needs to be on your list! It gives an old Hollywood/Speak Easy feel from the black walls and the old school charm. All the tables are very neat and there is a great use of the black with ample lighting. We were given a glass of Prosecco, because it was our Anniversary. They have Happy Hour from 4-6 and we each had a cocktail, I had a mango mojito and my husband had a smoked old fashioned. Very nice presentation! We had the Crab Cakes for an appetizer and let me tell you, I could've eaten 4 plates of those! We ordered a side salad, I had Caesar and husband ordered the chopped wedge. Nice size portion and both were good! We were given bread and a very nice whipped herb butter, that was very good! We both ordered the Broiled Lobster with whipped potatoes and broccoli. Presentation was on point! The lobster was cooked perfectly and the whipped potatoes were very tasty! Now we couldn't leave without dessert, but we did ask for it to go! I got the carrot cake, minus the Carmel drizzle. Hubby got the Triple Chocolate Cake. Very large slices! We both tasted them when we were home and they both are worth writing home about! I'm always looking for a good home made carrot cake and now I have found it! Service was excellent! Definitely recommend and next time I think I'll try the filet

As my friends and I frequently join together for cocktails and appetizers, we enjoy a range of experiences including the dynamic and super personable staff and bartenders. We love them all, Trinity is lovely in her demeanor.. This is the place for classic and sophisticated ambiance with local community, warmth and great lighting for pics!

    Apple cheesecake

Beautiful place. Excellent food. Everything was great. Only thing I would've changed is the apple cheesecake. I think a plain cheesecake with a choice of apple, chocolate, Carmel, etc on the side would've been better but the cheesecake texture itself was amazing. Apple isn't for everyone lol.

    Does KVH have adequate parking?

No. They made their parking lot too small. There are always cars parked on the grass between KVH and Casey's gas station.

Our server June was detailed, attentive, and engaging without being meddling or scripted. What a sincere vibe! As a queer couple we LOVED the busy Saturday night following a Pride event. We knew it would be a splurge and enjoyed every minute. The rib-eye did not rely on salt and fat alone, and every part of the dish shone in a way that you don't experience at even the best steakhouses. The design of the restaurant is gorgeous. It is open concept with big beautiful windows and a ton of natural light, but it still feels so elevated but not too elevated that you can't wear jeans but elevated enough that you could wear heels. I saw people dressed casual in there, and I saw people dressed in suits. I highly recommend sitting at the chef's table, which is the counter that belly's right up to the chefs that are cooking right out in the open. It is the coolest experience to watch their every move and listen to them communicate with each other. You do not feel any heat off of the grill or the stove because of the way it's set up. You just get to watch them make their magic. I expected this place to be overly priced because it is so nice but honestly, the prices are great. For the experience and for the food, I was more than happy with the pricing. The hospitality there is top-notch from the second you walk in and every minute after that, you feel like you are paid attention to and that you matter. You feel like all of the staff are grateful for you but not in an overbearing way just in a very appreciative way. This restaurant truly understands that the customers are what keep them in business. We had a 5 PM reservation on a Saturday night. Like I said, we ate at the chefs table. As soon as we sat down, the owner came up and greeted us and shook our hands, introduced himself and introduced us to all of the chefs that were cooking. I noticed he did that with everybody at the chefs table, so it was such a cool experience. Then he brought us out a little sample to try that isn't on the menu and that was super nice. He checked on us a couple of times after that. In between him checking on us, we had the nicest waiter checking on us. He was more than a waiter. He was like a concierge of the restaurant. He knew about every dish and every drink and could give us very specific details about it and help us decide what we would like. Now to the food, wow I mean wow. Check out my pictures for what we ordered. We cannot wait to go back. First, you get bread, butter, and salt. It's quite good! And it seemed like you could get more if you wanted. The appetizer we got was the wood oven roasted feta.. WOW. First, I know a lot of people don't like feta much but this tasted nothing like feta. It was like that super duper cheese taste on cheap pizza... spectacular. The mushrooms weren't really picked but still good, loved the pesto.. I didn't use the flat bread but it was great on the bread I mentioned above! I wasn't expecting this to be so good, it's crave-able. Heard the steak was good, they also got the loaded baked potato.. no complaints. I got the salmon and it was also way better than I was expecting. The beans?? Woah, they are so much more than just beans. They're so savory with bacon and spinach. I couldn't figure out what the yellow sauce was but it added a nice bright note. The beans were the star but the salmon was also good- the fried capers are a nice touch. It was seared super hard and a little overcooked but I didn't give a temperature so I shall next time. Overall this place is great. Totally worth the price although pricey. My bill was for the salmon and I got a dumb fancy water I regret but after tip it was $75. The steak and appetizer plus a soda was $90ish. So, yeah, $$$ but great vibe, great food, great service. Added to the list of go to places for sure!

The meat I was served was so over-cooked I had to saw at it with the dull steak knife they provided. Seriously, it was so difficult to cut, I already wanted to send it back but I had asked for this. So I made my peace with it and tried a bite. It was like eating over cooked Arby's roast beef after it was rewarmed too-long in the microwave. It disgusted me so much so, that I asked for a box, planning to take it home for my dogs or perhaps to add to soup, since it was my own error in judgement that had brought this upon me. When I asked for the box, my server started arguing with me about just getting me a new piece. No, I was fine I said. Really, I would just like a box. I have never had to argue to not get a steak before. This was by far the worst dinner out with my husband I have had since moving to Wichita. I know she was just trying to give good service but having to reiterate over and over that I was fine, to not have a new meal and trying to explain why just made it more unpleasant and uncomfortable. I spent the rest of our meal awkwardly watching my husband eat his meal and feeling weird which could have been avoided if she had just let well enough alone. I ended up just wanting to leave but not feeling like I could. Service: 1/5 The service did not match the price of the dinner. Overall, my server was nice, but that didn't stop her from arguing with me about my dinner. Super uncomfortable to have to explain myself over and over. The manager came, and stopped at the table, asked how we were and then left. It was equally uncomfortable. Clearly I was not enjoying my dinner to have literally boxed it up to go. Ambiance: 1/5 The dark interior was moody but intimate. The menu was a bit shabby but otherwise ok. The chairs were comfortable. Until using the bathroom, the ambiance was fine. The bathroom was well lit but the toilet paper dispensers were falling off of the walls and the door knob on the stall I used was equally troubling. The person in the next stall actually has the toilet paper dispenser fall apart on her. I awkwardly heard her curse slightly as I listened to the clang of metal on the floor and observed pieces sitting beside the toilet as I exited. What a ratchet bathroom. The purse hanger was way too high for comfort, especially if you were in a wheelchair (which the largest bathroom is meant for). Overall, pass on the restroom and restaurant in general.

Ambiance is okay, I guess.. dated a bit and weird with the place mats... makes it seem cheaper than the bill was. We went at 5pm on a Monday - it was pretty empty which was perfect. Didn't start to fill up until we left around 7ish. You do have to pay for parking but there's a garage on the block and I think my ticket was like 3 bucks. First we ordered the baba ghanoush... as you can see in the picture it is not very appetizing looking but the issue was it was SO bland! I'm an eggplant fiend and it tasted like water almost. We sent it back and got the charcuterie board... meh. It was fine, I guess. Don't recommend. The sauce in the middle is sweet? Just not my taste. I wanted to order the salmon by three (annoying it's impossible to find a picture of the dish online, if it's anything like everything else we got it probably wasn't good)... they weren't able to get fresh sushi grade salmon or the roe so they had an impromptu dish offering- salmon with fettuccine in a caper sauce topped with fried ham... it was SO salty! The salmon was dry. It was a good sounding dish just poor execution. Desert we got the raspberry emerald tart, against our better judgement as we hadn't had anything tasty yet, and it was so cold and not fresh that it tasted like nothing. The pistachio cream had fully soaked into the crust. It was just a miss, it was careless. That pretty much describes the whole meal (except the servers!) - the chef did not seem to care at all. Very disappointed, will not be back.
