When she attempted to clock in, the manager glanced at her watch and stated it was 8:48, claiming it was too late for her shift. What struck me as remarkable was the young woman's composure when she calmly explained that her son had just fallen out of his wheelchair and she had to help him, revealing that he's a quadriplegic. Despite this, the manager remained unmoved, refusing to allow her to work. What I do know is that publicly treating an employee with such disdain is never acceptable. The young blonde's reaction spoke volumes - no dramatics, just a quiet acceptance and a simple 'okay' before gathering her things and leaving.
