    Pistachio cream tea
    Jonathan Z.

I got a tea with pistachio cream. The cream was very good by itself, sort of a thicker whipped cream with a nice sweet-salty nutty flavor. It was quite good to eat separately. The tea itself wasn't bad but also wasn't too special; I felt like mixing in the cream made it feel a little less special as a drink. Taken separately it was quite good. My only complaint is the price - it's expensive for the size! Especially since the main part is the cream top. I ordered pickup on Uber eats and it was $9 - walking in isn't cheap but definitely don't go through Uber for this one!

Great service! After asking, our barista shared her preference for which tea we should try. We went with the oolong with nut milk foam and the black sesame milk. The black sesame was like drinking a warm hug and the oolong tea shone through the nut milk foam. The foam was actually quite tasty on its own before mixed into the tea. It's a cute cafe with a long, high bar table to people watch. There's light music in the background, and some smaller tables to work or gather.

This is such a great spot for anyone who's vegan or plant based and still wants their milk tea fix. Their cream tops are made from nuts and the staff up front are friendly if you have any questions. I ordered the four seasons tea w/ nut cream (四季春堅果奶蓋茶) with regular sugar and ice. You can change the ice and sugar levels if you prefer. Also can order boba as a topping but I skipped this time around. The drink came out fast and with a spoon. it has an unconventionally large pull back lid so you can use the spoon. There's instructions to try the cream top by itself, then the tea and after enjoying the separate flavors you mix them together. The tea and cream top are fabulous and tastes just as wonderful as any other drink with milk in it, I could barely tell the difference. The place has tables and is a nice place to sit in if you choose. 10/10 recommend and looking forward to coming back to try more

Well, my drink was sure nutty, I got the strawberry Matcha milk tea, and if I had to describe it for someone who hasn't tried this place, imagine a granola soaked in milk and that's the milk they use for the Matcha latte. Overall interesting taste, definitely not used to the taste either but they look like they have a lot of other cool drinks that I'd be interested in trying.

Picked up a drink on the go here with my husband over the weekend. I will say, I am giving it a 4 star rating, but its not like I got bad service or had a bad drink so maybe this is a little unfair, but if I were to think about if I would come back here I probably wouldn't because I think its just not for me. The nut flavor is pretty strong and I know its right there in the name and thats the whole concept of the place. i don't mind alternative milks, but if you are looking for something to just taste like reg milk but not actually be reg milk, this is not for you.

Fun new plant based boba shop. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and made drinks quickly. Great flavor. Not too sweet. A little hard to find parking but overall good experience

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #108 Nuttea is another boba chain coming from Taiwan, this time settling in the old Redmond Meetea location. It's known for specializing in nut milk (or mylk as they call it) based drinks, which is perfect for people with lactose intolerance like me - I always have issues with the mainland Chinese chains in Bellevue since most of them use full dairy milk! Nuttea is currently in their soft opening phase so expect some slower service while they ramp things up for their full Grand Opening next week. They do currently offer their full menu and are happy to answer any questions. Ordering is either done via kiosk or in person at the front counter. While we were sitting inside, sipping on our drinks, some customers who seem to be ardent fans of this chain walked in. Apparently they visit the Vancouver location often and they buy entire cups of nut cream to bring home to freeze. According to them, it's just like eating ice cream when frozen! Very interesting. Four Seasons Tea w/ Nut Cream, 30% Sugar, 30% Ice w/ Boba ($6.75) - I love how they include instructions on a sticker adhered to the cap to illustrate the best way to savor the drink. First, take a wooden spoon and try some of the nut cream by itself. It's luscious and thick with a full bodied macadamia nut flavor, a bit of hazelnut in the background, and added salt to boost the nuttiness even further. It's a great alternative to salted cheese foam toppings - in fact, I'd say I like this far more. Afterwards, sip at the drink at a 45 degree angle, to get a bit of the tea and cream together, but not mixed. The tea itself it quite fragrant, full of grassy notes and isn't steeped too far so there isn't too much astringency or bitterness. At 30% sweet, it's at the perfect level for me - there's additional sweetness from the cream top and the boba, so there's no need for more than 30% sweet in my opinion. Finally, mix the tea and cream together and take a sip. When mixed, the concoction first starts off with an overwhelming nutty flavor, completely overpowering the tea. After a minute or two, though, some of the cream starts separating out again and floats to the top, leaving the bottom a perfect harmony of cream and tea flavor. I added boba to the drink which I unfortunately have to say is not very good. Cooked way too firm, barely any bounce or chew. Meh. I wouldn't get boba again. Milk Tea Rating: 5/5 Boba Rating: 3/5 Ruby Black Nut Mylk Tea, 30% Sugar, 30% Ice ($6.75) - We were impressed enough with the other drink above that we decided to order a second one. This drink is totally different in flavor and mouthfeel. While the nut cream tea drink is creamy and smooth, this one is gritty and gloopy. The taste and texture feels like they mixed western almond milk with cashew and almond butter, giving it a sandy character from almond skin and pulverized nuts. In addition, the liquid has that kind of cornstarch-slurry consistency, indicative of the use of gums or other agents as thickeners (think western supermarket soy milk vs. Asian soy milk). The taste is heavily cashew mixed with some almond. Unfortunately the nut mylk also completely overpowers the tea; even with the heavier black tea, all the flavor and nuance is lost to the nuttiness. I'd definitely stick with the nut creams in the future. (3/5) Nuttea isn't really my jam (or cup of tea, perhaps), but it's definitely a unique addition to the Eastside bobasphere. It's a place that requires at least one visit just for the novelty! Bathrooms - One unisex room

The first time I tried this place, I wasn't sure how I felt about it. But after going back a second time, I realized.. I just ordered the wrong thing. This spot is good, especially if you get their cream topping. It's slightly salty, lightly sweet, and instantly elevates the drink in the best way. I ordered my tea with less sugar, and the balance with the cream made it perfect. I will say I accidentally mixed the cream into the tea (pretty sure you're not supposed to based on the lid instructions), but it turned out to be a really nice surprise. It made the whole drink extra milky. Also, I was a little confused about how you're supposed to drink it straw or sip from the lid? I kind of did both. Either way, it still ended up being a really enjoyable experience. On my first visit, I had the black sesame tea, it was good, but didn't really wow me. The second time, I tried the Hokkaido tea with cream, and that completely changed my mind. It's definitely more of an indulgent, dessert-style drink, but it's unique and worth trying. Next time, I want to try their cold brew with cream. I feel like it might give me a little nostalgic throwback to my pre-vegan Starbucks days.:d Thanks for existing Nuttea!

Fantastic creamy tea! Love the choice for people on the level of sugar added. It's hard to believe this is plant-based bliss.
