Snowy Village is the best bingsoo around. Honestly, the UW location has been pretty slow for over a year, sometimes taking over an hour for a single order at night. If you're craving some bingsoo, make the trek to Bellevue if possible. This store is shared with Xi'an Noodles with a shared restroom and wifi available. Located in the Belgate plaza, there is plenty of parking. Mixed Berry Bingsoo - my favorite bingsoo because the berries are packed with flavor, sweet, and enhance the dessert. With a mix of sweetness, tartness, and acidity, the bingsoo has balance and the contrast actually helps each flavor shine. The berry juices even add flavor to the bingsoo below (and there are berries at the bottom). The only mediocre aspect is the whipped cream on top which is just whatever. Taro Bingsoo - the menu has alternated between ube ice cream and taro ice cream but I think it's always been taro ice cream because it's not overly sweet. Red bean is also sweet but after devouring the toppings (including the ice cream), the bingsoo itself doesn't offer much. It's sweet shaved milk with condensed milk but the taro flavor isn't as potent.
The place is filthy. Dead bug all over the ledge by the window. Probably 20 or more boxes of what looks like maybe supplies sitting in the seating area. One person working which took forever. She had to take orders and make the stuff. First time to this location and the last. I hope the other locations haven't gone downhill.

It seemed to be operated by two high schoolers who didn't care about the dirty tables or the food. You order through a tablet and there were two people in the back with AirPods in, working on your order or sitting on their phones. We felt gross dining in because the tables were all dirty and for whatever reason, A/C was blasting during the winter! Our strawberry bingsoo came out dripping on the sides and super sticky, and I don't recall from my past experiences, but the whipped cream didn't have any sugar in it so it was just plain whip on top. We also ordered drinks and those were good, but overall, experience was not worth it and was not enjoyable.
Got the taro, cheesecake, and mango flavors. I used to LOVEE this place when it was one of the first bingsoo places I tried. However, I'm not sure if it was an off day but it honestly wasn't hitting the same. The flavor seemed a lot more subtle than I remember. I do love all their flavor options though and will likely come back and try it again.

The injeolmi was full of nostalgic flavors, well balanced with great chew on the mochi. The watermelon was so unique and refreshing. The shaved ice is made with condensed milk and so are extra creamy without being cloying. And the best part of it all--not too sweet!

Would be great if the Renton one could step up their game like the Bellevue one because side by side comparison is very disappointing. However, the Bellevue location is awful for the cleanliness, the tables and chairs were filthy with accumulating food bits collecting on the tables and seating at this location. You have to wipe down the table and chairs essentially cleaning up everything yourself if the past customers were less than considerate. The girl working at the ordering counter was on her phone if there was no customers ordering, but never got up to clean.
Quite a few small tables, bright and clean. Computerized ordering system with many options for size, sweetness level, add ons. There are 3 sizes- lite, regular and large. We didn't realize how large they were as a lite could easily be shared by two ppl. First time having a savory tayaki. We got bacon and cheese but didn't see the bacon. The staff immediately offered to remake it with more bacon. The ice is super smooth and creamy.
Small cafe with room for about 20 people inside. You order on the touch screen display and you receive a number on your receipt to pick up your order. Bingsoo here is made with milk and so the "shaved ice" is fluffy, soft, and melts on your tongue like when you catch snowflakes in your mouth. The fruit bingsoos seemed to be popular and the injeolmi flavor as well. I got the smallest size (Lite) and it was about $7-8 which was a perfect single serving. If you're lactose intolerant I'd recommend you take a lactaid beforehand!!

You order on a self serve tablet and then have to grab a table. Every time I've gone, its pretty packed so its sometimes hard to get a table.
After seeing a movie, two friends and I came to Snowy Village to grab dessert! Apparently, many others had the same idea as It was packed at 10:00P on a summer Saturday. I've actually never had Korean shaved ice (bingsoo) before, so this was something to cross off my list! There were a couple groups in front of us, but once we reached the self-order screen, we selected one bingsoo (they were sadly out of the mango flavor) and some taiyaki, then stepped outside to wait. Luckily, we got an outdoor table belonging to the neighboring Xian Noodles which was closed by that time. Considering the crowd, our order was ready pretty quickly after about 10 minutes. + STRAWBERRY BINGSOO ($14.99, regular size): The shaved ice itself was so fine and powdery with a very subtle vanilla-ish flavor. Since it's made up of 100% milk and condensed milk, it is fairly creamy as it melts in your mouth, however, it doesn't have much taste on its own. The strawberry swirls and fresh strawberries added most of the flavor and sweetness. I found the sweetness level to be just right and this was a pretty refreshing dessert overall. The bingsoo came topped with an excessive amount of whipped cream on top, but I'm definitely not complaining about that! + TAIYAKI (3 for $13.50): I only tried the red bean taiyaki, whereas my friends got the custard and Nutella. Instead of the typical pancake-like batter that comprises most taiyakis, these were similar to a flaky croissant! It was so crispy, light and piping hot inside. I enjoyed the red bean filling which gushed out as I bit into it. It contained whole beans rather than being a paste. This was a delicious way to end the evening! I would say the "regular" size bingsoo is perfect for two people to split, but the three of us were satisfied after splitting one since we each also ate a taiyaki. When looking around, most tables ordered two or three different bowls of bingsoo and shared them. The price point is a little high for a bowl of icy milk with fruit, but it was tasty and satisfied our sweet tooths!

This place was full of people when we came in so we had high hopes. You order with the iPad at the front counter. We ordered the watermelon variety. Patiently we waited. And waited and waited. After 10 minutes, they finished one of the orders ahead of us. It wanted until another 10 minutes before the next order came out. After 70 minutes we got our order. There were 2 employees working as slow as possible. They talked about their schedule, what they plan to do on their day off. If only they put a bit more energy into the orders. The watermelon was ok and the ice mixture was good. Too bad they don't know how to run a business. read more

I've been to another location before, and did not realize there was one in this plaza. So after we had dinner, I had my bf come here because he's never tried bingsoo before. He got the Fruity Pebbles one, and really liked it. Service was very friendly. Will be back to try more flavors. read more

Fresh fruits, creamy milky snow, variety of topping all available! Seating is a bit limited but most folks eat quickly . Parking is limited as it shares a lot with other popular businesses including boiling point . Very tasty, perfect for a summer evening. read more

Always a good time when I come here! Theres a parking lot put front. Seating is limited. 6 tables! The bingsoo is always very yummy. I've tried the strawberry and injeolmi. The single size is big! We got the black sesame bingsoo, injeolmi bingsoo and Nutella taiyaki. We both got the lite size and it was a perfect individual size portion. The black sesame bingsoo even came with a huge ball of ice cream on top too- the cup was literally overflowing. I really like their black sesame bingsoo along with taro bingsoo. This was my first time trying their taiyaki, which was quite different from other places as it was made out of a croissant. The store itself is pretty small and cute. There were two employees at the store so the bingsoo took a while to get out though. read more

Snowy village is my favorite bingsoo place. Their shaved ice is just the perfect sweetness and consistency for me. They have two locations - one at uvillage and another in Bellevue. This Bellevue location is super spacious - tons of seating. When you walk in, you can order on their giant kiosk. We got the bacon&cheese taiyaki, pizza taiyaki and the strawberry bingsoo (single size). The taiyaki was ok.. nothing too special. The bingsoo was so good! The single size was the right size for 2 people. The strawberry was a bit sour so I wish we tried the mango or taro instead but the ice was yummy This is a perfect sweet snack! It was a popular place as there was a long line as everyone was getting dessert after dinner. We had to clean our own table before we ate as the table was sticky likely from previous customers. I ordered a taiyaki croissant from Snowy Village that I took to go at the Bellevue location and was completely shocked to find a piece of metal baked into my pastry. This is absolutely unacceptable and a serious safety hazard since I bit into it and if I hadn't noticed it in time, I could have easily choked or injured my mouth. The fact that something like this made it into a customer's food shows clear negligence in food handling and quality control. I expected much better from this place, and I strongly urge management to take this incident seriously and review their kitchen safety procedures immediately. Until then, I would not recommend anyone eat here it's just not worth the risk. read more

Snowy Village is located close to Bellevue square mall. Its in a strip mall with other Asian joints Went in on a Sunday. Was pretty busy. Easy touchscreen ordering and a small kitchen doling out goodies every 3 min. The wait can be pretty long based on the time of the day. We got the mango and the injeolmi single We chose 70% sweetness. I luckily got a table. When our order arrived it looked freaking tall even though most of it was shaved ice made by condensing milk. We recently tried snow village and we loved it so much, the place was very clean, the owners were so nice and they even allowed a service dog to stay inside the place. They close pretty late which was a great option too for our friends! We love the place and what we like about it was that the desserts were not too sweet! The place was packed also for a cold winter night but we didn't mind waiting. The owners were really nice and answered all our questions too! The perfect post-meal dessert, bingsoo! Snowy village offers multiple flavors of bingsoo in 3 different sizes. To be honest, if you've already had dinner, the smallest size "single" is more than enough for 2 people to share! We got the regular in injeolmi flavor and couldn't finish it. My friend got the single in strawberry and couldn't finish it either. All the flavors were yummy and you can customize by adding additional toppings or removing some you don't like. They are, however, preset flavors to choose from. They have both fruity (strawberry, mango, watermelon) and milky (matcha, injeolmi, which is a roasted soybean powder, black sesam, etc.). Fruity flavors are offered in season so may not all always be available. You order through a screen and they bring your bingsoo to your table so you don't interact with the waitstaff at all. You get your own utensils and water, and take dirty trays back yourself. Not much service. There is a lot of seating available in the restaurant and a lot of free parking available in the complex. read more

The ambience is great! It's a small place, but neat and clean. I went there on a warm sunny Friday evening. There was a line outside the door. The service is fast. This is the first time I tried Korean shaved ice. It's good, I think I like the texture of ice cream more. They have non dairy options as well as less sweet milk. The portions are American size, big!! The smallest size is good for 2 ppl to have as a dessert. I wish it came in a container with a rim, bunch of the Oreo dust fell off. read more
Probably one of my favorite bingsu places in the Seattle area! I've tried four flavors (matcha, taro, berry, and mango) and all are great! I love the fact that you can get the "lite" version of them and bundle two flavors (doesn't work if you're ordering online). My only complaint is the wait time. The amount of times I've had to wait 30+ minutes for only 5-6 parties in front of me is ridiculous and the space isn't the cleanest. Overall, this place is great but be prepared if you have to wait. read more
I went to Snowy Village with my best friend on a Thursday night around 7:45pm. It was pretty empty, so there was plenty of space to sit. You order from large screen and can choose from a variety of bingsoos and taiyakis. We ended up ordering a small strawberry bingsoo. The first table we sat down at was super wobbly, so we ended up moving to a different one. It didn't take too long for our bingsoo to be ready, they shout out your order number and then you can walk up and grab it from one of the nice employees. The bingsoo itself is quite delicious! They have a good balance of sweetness in it and the strawberries were quite ripe. The whipped cream on top was also really good! I wonder if it's fresh whipped cream because texture and taste wise it didn't taste like something out of a can. The small is perfect amount for two people. All in all I would definitely recommend trying this dish We ended up staying there till 9pm and in the hour that we were there, the place became packed! It's a pretty popular spot and I can definitely see why. read more
Good shaved ice. The black sesame flavor was good without being overpowering, and the ice cream it comes with is delicious. Wish all the shaved ice flavors came with the scoop of ice cream. What really stands out to me about this place is the croissant taiyaki! Usual taiyaki is cooked batter, kind of like pancakes, but after having this kind I think all taiyakis should be croissant style! This place also offers savory taiyaki rather than just sweet options, and the cheese and pesto cheese ones are delicious snacks. read more

So glad Snowy Village opened a location on the Eastside! I tried the small Oreo bingsoo with 2 other friends, and it was really good. I actually wanted to try the strawberry or mango bingsoo, but they were both sold out (this was around 9pm on a Sunday). I'd definitely recommend coming earlier for some of the more popular flavors just to ensure they have it available. The bingsoo was reasonably priced and the small was a good amount for the three of us without being left hungry or overly full. The space of the cafe is pretty small, maybe 10 or so tables and not too many suitable for larger groups. It does get crowded as well since Snowy Village is quite popular. Same goes for the parking lot as many businesses share the lot which already has limited space. read more
Located in a small plaza so parking can be limited as it shares with other businesses. When you walk in, it's a super cute place with good music. It is self serve so you place the order on the kiosk and when order is ready you pick it up at at the side of the front. For 2, we shared: - taro bingsoo w/red bean, Ube ice cream, rice cakes, and almonds: 4/5 - loved how fresh the rice cakes were, the bingsoo was very airy, didn't care for the almonds, and the Ube ice cream was pretty sweet which complemented the entire dessert well - custard taiyaki: 5/5 - was a huge fan of the taiyaki itself because it was warm, super flaky like a croissant (surprisingly because I'm so used to Somi Somi's), custard inside was hot and steamy - possibly enjoyed this a little too much! When I'm back in town, I definitely would come back just for the taiyaki, yum! read more

The service was great! We didn't interact much with the workers besides grabbing our order. You pay and order on a kiosk. They'll call your number and everything you need (utensils, water, napkins) are near the pick up spot. I'd say it's okay for the price a little on the smaller side but def shareable if you're not craving it too much. read more
My favorite bingsoo spot in the area! I've been here several times, and my favorite order is the injeolmi. The shaved ice doesn't melt fast at all compared to other places in the area. I love the mochi and red bean that comes with the injeolmi--they add great texture and flavor. I recommend getting less sweet on all orders because it's already so sweet. I've tried their croissant taiyakis and wouldn't get them again since it's too hard. read more

I was so excited to finally try this places bingsu, knowing it's one of my favorite desserts! But overall I was pretty disappointed with the outcome. It was about 9pm one night, and I was craving something sweet and delicious so I decided to finally try this place out. It wasn't busy at all, with there only being one other person in the shop. You have to ordeer through a screen which I found a little annoying knowing certain customizations can't be made. But the inside was small, and pretty clean and the workers were kind. Bingsu takes a while to be made knowing there's a lot of component's, but it took over 10 minutes. After it was made they brought it out and it was a pretty decent portion for 2+ people. The presentation was beautiful, but the taste was not there. It had no flavor though I got light sugar I still expected a little bit more. All the toppings were great, but the shaved ice itself was terrible. I also think the prices were pretty high even given the portions and quality. Overall this place is fine, but I think other places definitely have better bingsu. read more
I can't believe it took me this long to finally try Snowy Village! Whenever I've thought about coming here for dessert, the restaurant is always so packed I always say 'next time'. When you come inside, you are greeted with a massive tablet to place your order through (you don't actually talk to anyone to place an order so make sure you know what you want or don't have any questions). I was a bit overwhelmed with all the options they had, but we finally decided on the Oreo and the Strawberry shaved ice. The shaved ice here in general is so finely shaved, fluffy, and soft. Between our party (5 adults, 1 toddler), we ordered the regular sizes of both the Oreo and the Strawberry. Normally I'm not a fan of ordering Oreo flavored anything (I don't like my desserts overly sweet), but their Oreo shaved ice wasn't nearly as sweet as it was, to my surprise! The Strawberry was more to my liking in general because I love me some fruit. In other shaved ice places, we typically order a side of condensed milk but I'm really glad we didn't do that as neither shaved ice orders really needed it. I will definitely be coming back here to satisfy my shaved ice cravings! read more
Snowy Village is a great place to get dessert. The BingSoo is delicious. We had the Taro with mochi and the Mango. The store was crowded and the parking difficult to find. But as we sat in the shop and enjoyed our cold treat, we felt it was worth it. Definitely a go to spot for boba drinks and frozen desserts. We'll be back. read more
As you walk in you've got the option to order through the self checkout kiosk which I love! I like being able to see the pictures of the menu. The inside is a little small based on how busy it gets but with this beautiful weather I've been taking advantage of the outside seating. Best Bingsu I've ever had, hands down. I've been back twice in a week now. I got both the cheesecake bingsu and the berry bingsu. WOW. The ice is so soft and perfectly sweet, the toppings are on top, and the bottom so it's not to much ice once you get through the top toppings. My friend loved the fruity pebbles, the flavor + the crunchiness, SO GOOD. Now the taiyaki, it was definitely different, the breading is more of a crossaint cheewy outside then the normal waffley bread I usually get. That being said, I didn't hate them, the cheese one was actyallly great, it was like eating a grilled cheese. THE NUTELLA TAIYAKI NEEDS A WARNING!!! I took the first bite and it absolutely burnt the SHIT out of my mouth. The Nutella was scolding hot and I had no warning of it. The name of this cafe is so fitting because the bingsu texture was so soft and powdery and it really felt like eating snow! For anyone not familiar with bingsu/bingsoo, it's a milk-based Korean shaved ice dessert and there are a variety of toppings you can add like fruit, condensed milk and more. Because it's made out of dairy and sugar, the texture is much more fluffier than traditional shaved ice. It's a little pricey - around $35ish for our order - but the portions are really shareable (we got 2 large portions to share with 5 friends!) Overall, the cafe was super cute and aesthetic and our order came out quickly. Bingsu is really refreshing on a summer night. But it does get busy on Friday nights and I noticed there was a wait for people that came when my friends and I were leaving around 10ish because there's limited seating - so do plan for that! read more

I'm obsessed with bingsu and always love finding and trying new bingsu places! This time I took some friends that had never tried bingsu before. Everyone enjoyed their bingsu and each one was fun and delicious! We all got the smallest size and they were still huge! When you get there you order on a screen and then they make your order and you pick it up at a counter. So very minimal interaction with staff but they were working hard because we went on a friday night and every table was filled! Everything is made with care and is all good quality.
