Took my car in because it had a check engine light, fuel light and nonstop beeping. They quoted us $460 for the repairs, we said "and that will fix the beeping right?" They said yes and that it'd be done in a couple hours. Two DAYS later they call and the guy says "hey so your car is making a beeping sound, do you want us to fix that? It'll be $500 more" after going back and forth the guy says he'll undo what they already did and see about fixing the beeping for the same price. THREE WEEKS later he says he can't fix it and he's just going to unplug the speaker making the noise and put tape over the light. We say okay whatever, if you can't fix it you can't fix it. Well turns out he wants $400 or $350 cash for putting some tape over the light and won't return the car otherwise. The manager refused to give us the owners name, says even though the car isn't repaired AT ALL we need to pay them for labor (for what?) then tries saying we're trying to pull one over on him. Yes because what was I thinking not wanting to pay hundreds of dollars for some tape over my light! I said fine plug the noise back in and take the tape off because I'm not paying $400 for that. He said he would but I'd still have to pay $400 for the labor. Finally he said I could have my car for $100 off if I didn't talk to the owner! Lucky me! But wouldn't you know it the $250 I was forced to pay for them to unplug the noise and put tape on didn't even work because it's definitely still beeping. read more

The first time I used Kwik Kar on 407 Justin Rd., I was very impressed. The worker who assisted me was friendly and got my vehicle in right away for an oil change. Since they did a great job, when it was time for an oil change again, I went back....BIG MISTAKE!!!! The first time I pulled in, I was told they didn't have the oil for my BMW. No problem, I'll come back when you do have the oil. I returned a couple of weeks later and pulled up( no other cars were there), and waited, and waited, and waited. Thinking maybe they were under the bay, I called the location....no answer. Finally, after 15 minutes I honked my horn. The same guy who told me the didn't have my kind of oil stepped out. I told him I needed my oil changed.... I was told his pit person was not onsite and I could not get my oil changed. I asked why he was there if he couldn't do anything, he just looked at me. I will not be back a 3rd time. Kwik Kar lost a customer for life. I am not sure how they stay in business, but I really don't care. I would rather pay Firestone more, have to wait all day for an oil change, then ever go back to Kwik Kar. 1 star I gave was too generous, I just didn't have the option of 0 stars. read more

Do you like to wait a long time & pay for things you don't receive? This is your place. When I pulled up there were no cars in any of the bays and 3 employees that I could see. I was asked what I needed & showed my Groupon (probably a mistake). He proceeded to drive my car around the parking lot and then into then bay. At that time he began looking at the engine. After about 5 minutes he came over and told me I was low in oil & needed my radiator flushed because the fluid was dirty. I told no thank you. I would take car of that myself just do the inspection. So I wait another 10 minutes and looked up because they are pulling another car into the bay my had been in. Since i had my other car inspected a month earlier I know a state inspection only takes 8 minutes. Yet my car isn't finished, they have merely pulled it out of the bay on the back side. So I ask what is going on. I am then told the other car was there first and they are just going in order. Sorry I don't buy your story. If the other car was there first it would have been in the bay when I pulled up, also you would not have started working in my car & then stopped. When my car was returned to my over 40 minutes later the guy got out of my car and walked off. No thank you nothing. So I got in my car to leave thinking we were done. An employee comes out saying I owe money for the inspection, oil and coolant that was added to my car. I told him I had a Groupon for the inspection which I presented before we started and that I told the man not to add oil or coolant to my car, that I was not paying for. He took the Groupon information and left it at that. Since I had a feeling these guys are not exactly on the up and up when I got home all of 15 minutes away I checked to see if in fact these fluids were added to my car. The oil was added as they claimed. However, no coolant was added as you can see in the before pictures and then the after pictures where I added coolant. So if you take your car to these people you need to watch them the entire time. They will charge you for services not performed. Imagine if I had drove around believing he added coolant to my car, my radiator would be fried- that's probably what they want so I would come have it replaced. Not a chance. This is the second year I have had a vehicle inspected here. I won't be back. I have no problems with the Kwik Car in Denton by the mall but they apparently are owned by different people. read more

I always take my car to this location for oil changes because it's close to my house. They always get me in and out fast and I feel like they don't try to sell me anything I don't need. Today I went to get my AC recharged and it was less expensive than I was expecting, which was nice, but to top it off as I was driving away one of the technicians flagged me down. I rolled down my window and he told me one of my brake lights was out. I pulled back in and they found a bulb in my trunk I forgot I had purchased a long time ago (it was a 2-pack from when my other brake light went out). They popped it in for me quickly and didn't charge me for it. I'll keep coming back to Kwik Car of Lewisville! read more

I will never use these peoe again. Had my car towed to them when my fan assembly blew apart taking out the radiator and paid 800+ parts and labor. Only to find out 2 years later they never flushed out the system at all and now the rest of the cooling system looks the same as the picture. Needs new engine, water pump, heater core and more. Manager said sorry that was the other owners before them. No refunds but we will take a look at it and quote a fix. Haha expletive remark. Thanks Kwik car for forcing me to buy a new car bitches... I would totally recommend this location. We were literally in crisis mode leaving DriveTime with a wiring issue leading to the battery. We replaced the battery on our new car with DriveTime now the check engine light is on and the car is driving horrible. DriveTime instructed us to wait until tomorrow and if the check engine light is still on take it to Kwik Kar. Nonetheless, we immediately came right over to Kwik Kar on Justin Rd in Lewisville. Danny helped us and got everything taken care for immediately. We are very big on customer service and first time impressions. Danny and his team checked all the boxes! I took my car there for an oil change. $47.16 total. On the receipt, it states my coolant was full. Two days later my car overheats and starts throwing codes. I took it to the dealership. My car had NO radiator fluid what so ever. The Dealership stated had I driven it any more I could have blown my engine. I went back to Kwik Kar this morning and asked for the manager. The 20ish girl said she was the manager...After showing her where it stated on the receipt where it stated the coolant was full, she said well maybe I had a leak. If they had checked my fluids and topped them off as they are supposed to .... it should have been either, you were low on radiator fluid or... you have a leak. No wonder they are always NOT busy. Surprise! Another dishonest mechanic to add to the mix. Fast talking and quick to charge "additional" fees. Took in a $10 off coupon but Juan was adamant to set me up with a full synthetic for $70 with $10 off. I refused so I was charged for a conventional oil change at 28.99 with $10 off which should have been $18.99 plus disposal and tax but of course not, I needed a "special filter" which costs an extra $10 bring my total back to $28.99:) Dont bother getting bait and switched with a coupon. Lightning strikes twice! Another slimy Kwik Kar scam establishment! Unbelievable! I had just called out the Kwik Kar franchise on MacArthur in Vista Ridge for upselling services on my vehicle that were totally unnecessary (that incident happened several months ago) and now I get the same bad experience at the Highland Village location. So....took my car in for just a standard oil change and the "technician" takes it into the bay and goes to work on in it. 25 minutes later the dude is still working at it and then he finally comes into the waiting area with a filthy air filter in hand telling me how badly I need a new one. I guess the little shit didn't realize that the filter he was holding was about two times the size that my vehicle used so clearly it didn't come out of my car and was just a stage prop he used to swindle unknowledgeable patrons with. Was going to say something but decided to play along and asked him how much to replace and he replied, "$40." to which I just smiled and shook my head. Not only did the filter not need replacing, but the price he quoted me was more than TRIPLE the cost charged by a much more reputable auto parts establishment close by. Amazing that after all these years there are still morons in this industry trying to hustle people into buying air filters they don't need and at triple the cost. To add insult to injury, I checked under the hood of the car when I got home and turns out this imbecile messed with the filter assembly hooks twisting them around so it wouldn't close properly. Now let me just say that just because I had two absolutely dreadful experiences at the Kwik Kar franchises in Vista Ridge and in Highland Park, not ALL of them are like this. The Kwik Kar in Valley Ranch is top notch and I'll be using that location exclusively for fluid work in the future. If you still choose to patronize the Vista Ridge and Justin Road locations, I highly recommend you record the conversations if a "technician" tries to upsell you on an unneeded service and get his name to call him out on later. There are enough con artists in this business and God knows we don't need any more of them. read more

BEWARE!!!! DO NOT take your car here, because if they mess it up, they will not accept responsibility for their mistake. Yesterday, I took our 2018 Honda Civic that we purchased last week to KK because it was leaking oil. Before I headed back to the dealership which is 30 miles away, I wanted to see how big the problem was. According to KK, it was a simple fix and I was told it was good that I brought the car into them. The drain plug was not secure, so they secured it for me free of charge and said it was "their gift to me." Well, their gift ended up costing me $286 today. Today, as I was driving, I heard this terrible noise coming from underneath the car, so I immediately pulled over. What I saw under the car completely scared me, it looked like the entire underneath was falling out. Not knowing what I was dealing with, and thinking I had a bigger issue than a drain plug, I immediately headed to the nearest Honda dealership where I was informed that the splash shield was coming off. Apparently, the KK technician didn't secure the splash shield properly as 2 clips were missing. After waiting on Honda to fix it, I then headed to KK to inform them of what happened, and instantly, I was met with attitude and blame. The manager said I should have brought it back to them to fix and not go to the dealership. I reminded him that I thought this was a much bigger issue than a drain plug and how was I to know the technician was incompetent. I was worried about our safety and having the car on the road. I wasn't about to keep driving it. After being customers of this location for years, I thought they would at least meet me half way. I would have been willing to split the bill, but I got nothing. No apology, no offer of reimbursement, just blame and irritation from them. So, just know, if they work on your car and mess it up, they do not stand by their work and they could do more harm than good. read more

The WORST place to take your car for any kind of service! If I could I would give this business -5 stars.I took my car in for an oil change. I took my car in for an oil change. A man (don't know his name) held the side door open, asked: ''What do you want?!'', I told him I would like an oil change, please - high mileage. He took the key from me and disappeared. Never did he say welcome or anything like that. I also did not get the chance to tell him that I might get picked up by a friend so they could take their time and I'd pick up my car later. After waiting a little bit the same man came back, forced a clipboard in my hands and said ''there you go'', as he walked to the restroom. I filled out the form (Name, phone number, etc.) and when he came back he grabbed the clipboard and continued his way into the shop again. I was barely able to tell him what I wanted to tell him earlier and he simply replied ''I'll get you outta here in like 10 minutes''. He did not lie, my car was ready after approximately 10-15 minutes. If the rudeness wasn't enough already, they had the nerve to break off the handle of my dipstick, put a tiny note on the receipt claiming that it already has been like that when they got the car. Of course I signed, not knowing I was being tricked into waiving any damage claims, as I thought (and it looked like) it was just the receipt with the summary of the service(s) provided. I didn't realize that after I was already at home. Then my friend arrives, just waiting for me to get my car so we can go our ways and that same man is starting an argument with my friend because he was waiting there in their parking lot. After my friend told him he was waiting for me, a customer of theirs, he walked off and sent a co-worker of his to continue the argument. Not only do they NOT have any customer service, they damaged my vehicle, my dipstick is stuck in the tube and I had to get a replacement stick (once I finally have it removed) and on top of that they start an angry argument over someone who is waiting on their customer for not even 1 minute. I will NEVER again go to any Kwik Kar thanks to the people there and I will make sure that non of my friends or family will. read more

My daughter took her 2016 Jeep in for oil change and the tech open the hood and NEVER closed it all the way. She left the shop and the hood came open and smashed into her windshield. She went back to shop to get their insurance information and they DO NOT have insurance because they would never provide. We asked for owner information and they would not provide it either....... Went in for vehicle inspection and due to battery recharge my vehicle computer was reset and still in a diagnostic mode for another 50-75 miles before they could get proper reading on it. When I took the car back at almost 6:30 (posted hours stating they close at 7pm) for a quick check to wrap up the inspection, I pulled up out front and parked in front of them. I then stood in the waiting room for over 5 minutes before they started closing all the vehicle bays while I watched. It was still only 6:40pm when the tech came in and said that their boss wanted to leave early so they were closing and I'd need to bring my car back tomorrow. I tried not to yell at him because I've also worked for people unqualified to run a business and could tell he did NOT want to tell me they were closing early. Not sure if the "Boss" felt it was okay to treat me like that because I had already paid for the inspection, but I am ABSOLUTELY sure that I will never put another dime in his pocket. I value the services I pay for and the people who provide them, but I also expect service providers to value their customers. read more

DON'T GO TO KWIK KAR ON FM 407. Only giving them one star as I had to at least give them that. My best option would be no stars. Had an oil leak on my car today. Car is still under warranty so i took it to the dealer. Leak was due to oil filter cap being over tightened. Cost me 130.00 to repair this at the dealer. I took my receipt from dealership back to Kwik Kar asking for them to refund my repairs. They would not refund my money saying I should have come to him first. Why would I when I didn't think he had caused the issue. Long rant - but don't go to Kwik Kar - horrible customer service. This is said as I've been going to them for years. I recently got my car inspected here and it was TERRIBLE. I came in on a Friday explaining I needed my car inspected and I fully understood I was going to need to repair a few things in order to get it up to standards since I just bought the car. I asked them if they could inspect it anyway and let me know everything I was going to need to have done before I would pass. After an hour they told me I only needed my wiper motor replaced and rear brake pads and once I had that I would pass. After they quoted me an outrageous amount (typical) I just did the work myself. I brought it in the next day and the older man refused to inspect it claiming I needed to drive 100 miles before it could be inspected. I questioned why since the only thing that failed were parts that needed to be inspected manually and not by the computer. The older man then got very loud and rude and pretty much repeated himself and ignored everything I asked. I figured maybe there was something I didn't understand so I left and drove the car another 100 miles. I returned that Sunday and explained to them what I've been told the two previous days (since every time I was dealing with someone else) the guy then pulled my car in for inspection and then told me my O2 sensor was out. So it failed. I was pretty frustrated at this point and asked why it wasn't brought to my attention the other TWO visits up there. The guy became very rude and slammed a paper on the desk and began writing the code for the O2 sensor. Not wanting to create a fuss, I leave. After no auto parts carried the O2 sensor I needed, I decided to call them back and see if they could do the work and pass my car. I was told they could for another outrageous price. Biting the bullet I went back. After waiting 30 minutes I was told the mechanic was not in and they could not do the service. Luckily after all of that orielys was about to track down the part and have it to me in a few hours. I ended up doing it myself. Today I brought my car in for the 4th time. They made it very clear if I failed again I would have to pay another 25.50 for the inspection (even though you have 15 days from the first inspection to pass.) so After they reluctantly tested it and claimed I was lying about replacing my O2 sensor and didn't drive it the correct amount of miles after it was replaced (which is 50-100 miles) The older guy aggressively parked my car in front of the waiting room door and said "keys inside. You passed." And walked into the garage. I will never use this place again. They are completely unprofessional and rude. read more
