    My $250 taped over light

Took my car in because it had a check engine light, fuel light and nonstop beeping. They quoted us $460 for the repairs, we said "and that will fix the beeping right?" They said yes and that it'd be done in a couple hours. Two DAYS later they call and the guy says "hey so your car is making a beeping sound, do you want us to fix that? It'll be $500 more" after going back and forth the guy says he'll undo what they already did and see about fixing the beeping for the same price. THREE WEEKS later he says he can't fix it and he's just going to unplug the speaker making the noise and put tape over the light. We say okay whatever, if you can't fix it you can't fix it. Well turns out he wants $400 or $350 cash for putting some tape over the light and won't return the car otherwise. The manager refused to give us the owners name, says even though the car isn't repaired AT ALL we need to pay them for labor (for what?) then tries saying we're trying to pull one over on him. Yes because what was I thinking not wanting to pay hundreds of dollars for some tape over my light! I said fine plug the noise back in and take the tape off because I'm not paying $400 for that. He said he would but I'd still have to pay $400 for the labor. Finally he said I could have my car for $100 off if I didn't talk to the owner! Lucky me! But wouldn't you know it the $250 I was forced to pay for them to unplug the noise and put tape on didn't even work because it's definitely still beeping.

Waiting over half an hour to get my car inspected. You can barely see my tan car in the back side of the bay.

Do you like to wait a long time & pay for things you don't receive? This is your place. When I pulled up there were no cars in any of the bays and 3 employees that I could see. I was asked what I needed & showed my Groupon (probably a mistake). He proceeded to drive my car around the parking lot and then into then bay. At that time he began looking at the engine. After about 5 minutes he came over and told me I was low in oil & needed my radiator flushed because the fluid was dirty. I told no thank you. I would take car of that myself just do the inspection. So I wait another 10 minutes and looked up because they are pulling another car into the bay my had been in. Since i had my other car inspected a month earlier I know a state inspection only takes 8 minutes. Yet my car isn't finished, they have merely pulled it out of the bay on the back side. So I ask what is going on. I am then told the other car was there first and they are just going in order. Sorry I don't buy your story. If the other car was there first it would have been in the bay when I pulled up, also you would not have started working in my car & then stopped. When my car was returned to my over 40 minutes later the guy got out of my car and walked off. No thank you nothing. So I got in my car to leave thinking we were done. An employee comes out saying I owe money for the inspection, oil and coolant that was added to my car. I told him I had a Groupon for the inspection which I presented before we started and that I told the man not to add oil or coolant to my car, that I was not paying for. He took the Groupon information and left it at that. Since I had a feeling these guys are not exactly on the up and up when I got home all of 15 minutes away I checked to see if in fact these fluids were added to my car. The oil was added as they claimed. However, no coolant was added as you can see in the before pictures and then the after pictures where I added coolant. So if you take your car to these people you need to watch them the entire time. They will charge you for services not performed. Imagine if I had drove around believing he added coolant to my car, my radiator would be fried- that's probably what they want so I would come have it replaced. Not a chance. This is the second year I have had a vehicle inspected here. I won't be back. I have no problems with the Kwik Car in Denton by the mall but they apparently are owned by different people.

This is the result of this shop replacing my radiator and not flushing my system

Customer Service We truly value our reputation for honesty, and it's never our intention to make a customer feel taken advantage of. Automotive quotes can vary significantly based on the specific engine's labor requirements and the quality of parts used. replacing the spark plugs is a labor-intensive job because the intake manifold must be removed to access them, which typically takes about 2.5 to 3 hours of labor.

I decided to order the part and take my business elsewhere. The OEM catalytic converter ran me about $540 on Mazda parts and the OEM downstream cost me $140 smh the parts were $680!! These assholes tried to run up $3200 in labor cost. Needless to say, I wasted 192 bucks on a diagnostic for them to do nothing. I went to the mechanic up the street who told me to get OEM parts first (02 sensor) and that would likely fix it smh he told me this for free smh Talk about putting a bad taste in your mouth, I hope this place goes out of business. Oh, and they couldn't even drive my car up to the front like a normal repair shop smh I got my steps in but I thought what terrible service.

Overpriced, Poor Service, and No Accountability…read more This has been the most disappointing automotive service experience I've had in over 25 years. I purchased a rebuilt transmission from this shop for my 2002 Corvette, which came with only a 24-month warranty--despite the cost being over $4,000 for parts and installation. This was already significantly higher than market average, but I chose them due to their proximity to the collision center working on my vehicle. Just eight days after the warranty expired, the transmission lost 3rd gear and drive. I was stranded on the side of the highway and repeatedly called the owner for help--calls which went unanswered until I used a different number. At that point, he told me to arrange my own roadside assistance. Once the vehicle was at their shop, I waited a full week before being told I needed to sign a work authorization just to get things started. When I asked if the repair was covered under warranty, I was told, "Your warranty expired--I'm not doing it for free." He offered a 25% discount on another rebuilt transmission, which would still cost over $3,000. At this point, I began calling around and found at least five other reputable shops offering the same service, with the same 24-month warranty, for under $1,800. When I was at the shop, even one of the mechanics mentioned that this is how customers are "usually treated." I rarely leave reviews, but this experience warranted it. Between the inflated prices, poor communication, and lack of customer support, I would strongly caution anyone considering this location. Please reconsider.

Christian Bros prays on the religious and spiritual values of the general public. Here's some…read morehistory...the company was not started by brothers and their name was not "Christian". In my opinion they picked that name to attached it to the world wide religion. It was started in 1982 by a man named Mark Carr. So if you decide to use it them, don't do it because you like the name Christian. My elderly mom took her car in because the ac would blow cold only on one side...the other blew warm. She insisted on using them bc she thought they'd be more honest because of the name. Before she took it, I looked up the problem and the majority of the time it's a "blend door actuator" failing. I dug deep to find the possible problem. Meaning the hose that lets the air in the car swings has a door that swings from the heat to the cold (refrigerant) side when you change the settings. Usual charge for this replacement, according to the internet, is between $250-$450. They came back and told us it was a hose leaking refrigerant, and that hose required the entire front bumper to replace AND they'd have to "source" a hose bc the car was older. As in, auto parts stores wouldn't normally carry this part and they'd have to find one. The estimate they gave was $1100! We had no choice but to pay it bc my mom needs AC and she bought into the word "christian" in the name. Around 4:45 we gave them the ok to go forward. By 7:30 the next morning I got a text saying it was ready. So they somehow sourced the part, removed the bumper, replaced the hose, put everything back together in the time they close and open the next morning. She made the choice to go ahead and that's on us. BUT, Christian Bros did a comprehensive diagnosis on many of the parts, including struts, joints, battery, hoses (in that same time span they fixed the AC) that we didn't ask for it. We didn't complain because it was free. Or was it? One of the things they noted and tried to get us to address was the battery. They said it was failing. We said we'd come back for that later bc we just spent $1100. I suspected nothing was wrong with the battery bc it was only a year old and the car started fine every time. So I took it to Autozone and showed them the paperwork. They said CB was probably hoping to sell you a new battery, but he would test it. 100%. I took it for a second opinion at O'Reilly's and same answer and test result. This was pissing me off so I drove all the way to Garland to a independent mechanic recommended by a friend. Same answer. Battery is 100% healthy. So remember, free inspections are done to find something to sell you. Trust your instincts and buyer beware.
