When I returned to Take 5 #0206 in Pflugerville on 8/12 for my next service, Luke and Joe showed me that the dipstick was not fully inserted and there was no oil showing on it. They also showed me oil splattered throughout my engine compartment and that the plug/cap that should have been replaced had not been replaced. They used Take 5's coolant testing tool and showed me that my coolant required a flush, despite the 4/13 service documentation stating it had been checked and was safe. I contacted corporate on 8/13 and again on 8/18 after receiving no response from the Round Rock location. I was told each time to wait 48 hours for the district manager. I have also continued trying to contact the Round Rock location directly, but have received no response. As of 8/22, no one has contacted me. I feel taken advantage of as a customer because I trusted Take 5 to properly service my vehicle. I did not believe I needed to get out of my truck and independently inspect the dipstick or the work performed, especially when Take 5 advertises a "Stay In Your Car" service. I trusted that the employees performing the service would properly complete and verify their work. This is my daily vehicle, and I need to ensure there are no issues or damage resulting from the service. I am simply trying to get this matter resolved and ask that someone from management or the franchise owner please contact me directly to discuss a resolution.

Poorly trained staff, and even more lack-luster management. Yesterday I went in for an oil change on my 2012 Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins. Staff made a total mess getting thr oil filter off.... then couldn't get the filter back on. I literally had to climb under my own truck to teach the tech how to install the oil filter. So in the process soaked my shirt in oil, and was covered from finger tips to elbows in oil. I chalked it up as a teaching moment for the tech. I was charged the full amount for my oil change at $185... ticked me off a bit, but thought to myself, I deal with it later. This am July 31st, 2026 I decided to stop by to see if they would toss in my diesel oil filter for me as a gester to do things right by me... nope, knocked $10 off the $99 charge to install my diesel fuel filter which takes no more that 10-15 minutes to do. I decided to call corporate. I just received a call back from the manager of the store on recording with corporate. He said, "unfortunately we cannot refund you on your diesel fuel filter", but we can offer you 50% off your next oil change". Why would I be inclined in any way, shape or form to spend more money with you, when you can eve do it right the 1st time, and charge me an arm and a leg. I told him to keep their 50% off next service, I won't be bringing any vehicle there again. From corporate on down, this place is a joke.

The loud "call outs" made us feel as if the employees knew what they were doing. I would like to mention that a consumer would like to hear more about the process. Step by step, would be appreciated. We asked for the "oil change" notice, on the dashboard, to be cleared. It was not. We had to ask, again, at the end. The oil change notice has appeared, again. The fluids were topped off and the staff was really kind! This was a great experience! A few flaws. Overall, we will come back to this location. Thank you! Got there at 1125am on a Friday and there were 2 cars in the oil change bays and one vehicle in front of me. I waited (in my car with AC running) for 30 minutes and then got into the bay for my full synthetic oil change.  Sat there with the windows down and car off during the oil change which took about 25 minutes.  The guy who helped me, Justice, was friendly and made a good impression.  It cost about $60 after my coupon but is regularly 89.99. They tell you what the issue is, what your solutions are, and get it done right the first time. Even something as simple as an oil change is best done at Dave's-they give the vehicle a multi point look over and send you a picture filled analysis with information and recommendations. Luckily I've rarely needed repair work done, but friends I've sent there have and they've never had anything but praise for the experience. You might find a cheaper shop, but you'd be getting a cheaper experience. Dave's isn't charging top dollar but they're giving top of the line service.

The second time I went, I called around 7AM and asked if they could fix a side mirror I knocked off really quick. They said yes. I bring it in & ask for a diagnostic. They return it to me with the mirror still broken telling me I'd have to spend around $3,000 and wait two weeks to get fixed. I asked if I could bring a cheaper used mirror I found & pay them for labor and they said no - making me think this was beyond easy repair. I took it home, and my boyfriend fixed it easily with no tools. Disappointing.
