I love this place. The staff are so helpful and kind. The best thing is how fast they are. There is never a long wait and if there might be, they tell you. The waiting area leaves something to be desired, but it's not a spa y'all. I called in ahead and asked if they had time for a state inspection (I already tried two different places that didn't have inspectors on site) I was told yes first come first serve "cool I'm on my way" I was driving my husbands truck that I never drive... but from the conversation I was kind of like "was he rude, or maybe I just read that wrong" I pull up 15 min later, and guy that "greeted me" already seemed annoyed.. I guess he assumed I should know where to pull in... He seemed annoyed I showed up, he was rolling his eyes and breathing as if I was wasting his time... Not sure if it was because I was a female, or because he's not a Cowboys fan either way... There was 4-5 guys working no cars... I held back on what my normal reaction would have been because I just wanted to get it done and I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction.. I get my toddler out I grab all his things and he starts mumbling to a co worker... "THIS TINT IS TOO DARK, IT WONT PASS" You know what that's not even what I'm upset about. It's the fact he had an attitude from jump, he saw my windows from afar and from up close. I didn't need to take my two year old out for him to tell me any of that. He suggested going down the street having it ripped off and coming back. "That's all I can suggest to you" If your a female, I suggest going anywhere else your treated with respect and not automatically profiled... I will say there was one man who greeted me as soon as I got out and asked how I was doing. read more

I have had several very good experiences with Pit Pros, and I plan to return regularly for maintenance and inspections. Each visit has been fast, straightfoward, and priced fairly. A huge plus is that I have not been pressured for any of the bologna services that so many other shops try to pile on. Total scammers. Paid for the oil change and coolant flush and they LITERALLY DID NOTHING. Oil was jet black when they were 'done' Stay away from these scam dogs. Just off S Mays Street in Round Rock, Pit Pros is the perfect spot to get your oil changed. Service: Friendly and efficient. I rolled up at just after 8:30am on a Saturday morning and was out of there within 15-minutes. There were four guys working on my car - checking fluids, airing up the tires, changing the oil. Cost: They allowed me to use the $5 coupon when I checked in on Yelp!, and I went with the Mobil One oil, and it was $58. Amazing price. Overall: There's a waiting room for customers with coffee and donuts. It's basic with some chairs and a TV, but it's air-conditioned and clean. They take cards. read more

Guys who work here wee always nice but not long ago I had a chance meeting with the owner/operator who is an older white male that drives a black Mercedes. He was a a jerk, no other way to explain it. He belittled me and said things to try and intimidate me. I will NEVER return there and tell all my friends/family not to either. The 40 something white male with mustache and tattoos is great guy but I just can't return. I talked to a lady recently who said her car was inspected at this place. She told me that they reported her wipers needed to be replaced So permission was given to do so. She said she paid for the wipers and they were on her receipt. She said two weeks later her Honda was at the Honda dealership and the dealership told her that her wipers were worn out and needed to be replaced. She told them they had been two weeks prior by this place and the dealership said that it looked like it was never done. She told me she went back to this place and the same guy I had issues with treated her like crap. She told me he accused her of lying and acted like he knew nothing. He took her receipt away from her and wouldn't give it back. Guess there is some truth in my initial review. read more

I've been going to Pit Pros for about three years to get my inspections done. I usually have a really good experience with them, but on my most recent trip I dealt with the owner who was incredibly rude to me from the get-go. I decided to ignore his behavior as I wanted to get the inspection done and out of my way and I asked if he would change my oil as well. He accused me of having gone to a dealer (which I hadn't ) for my last oil change and told me the cap was too tight for him to open as the dealer had sealed it too tightly and said he couldn't do the oil change. I went to another place for the oil change and they opened the cap very easily and did the oil change. So, either the owner of Pit Pros didn't know what he was doing or he just didn't want to help me. In any case, I did not enjoy this visit and will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. read more

He never considered entertaining any of my questions, hence I chose to simply leave. Yes, it was time for my yearly car inspection, I had always had it done some where in Austin but since I live in Round Rock now I looked up state inspection in Round Rock on the internet. I saw Pit Professional near by so I drove there to see if I could get the car inspected. It was around 3pm on a Thursday afternoon, as I pulled up, I saw that no other cars were there being worked on at the time. What appeared to be an older gentleman with a full grey beard and mustache met me and I told him I wanted a state inspection. He asked if I wanted an oil change as well. Nope just a state inspection for now I said. I was worried if my tires would pass inspection it is getting near the time to change them out. He showed me the waiting room and handed my keys to one of his Hispanic workers. I was in the waiting room for less than 10 minutes and my car was ready, I paid and left. Yes, the tires made it, great, no repeat trip needed. Man that was quick service could not ask for more. Every one was pleasant and professional. While I was in the waiting room I noticed that the floor was dingy and needed vacuuming, the ceiling tiles were grey and the light fixtures appeared to have mold growing in them, the 10 year old TV was working and showing a daytime soap opera, kind of grey and dingy but I would expect this from a place that works on cars and track old oil everywhere as well as years of exhaust fumes piling up inside. As I drove off I wondered if they lived in the upstairs above the shop. Would I go back? Yes as long as I get that kind of quick service I will. read more

I've brought my car here three times now for oil changes and an inspection. Today I spoke with Mark the manager and he walked out to greet me when I parked in back. I told him I needed an oil change and mentioned my interaction with KwikCar recently and my transmission fluid. He said we could check the transmission fluid quickly to see if it was needed. He pulled the stick and wiped the fluid on his hand and said it was marginal, probably fine. He also refused to say anything bad about KwikCar and whether they were trying to sell me something unnecessary. Oil change and new air filter cost me $50 but he brought the filter to me showed me how dirty it was and showed me a new one to compare the difference. Since I've owned my car I've never changed the air filter, 50k miles...I'm cheap, hey let's splurge and change it. Overall my interaction with Pit Pros has been positive and I think I'll continue to come here for my oil changes. Mark made me feel more comfortable with their procedures and my sense from discussion with him is that they rely on repeat business as a local shop. Very down to earth, friendly and they'll not be trying to sell me services that are unneeded. People want friendly loyal mechanics and techs who put mechanical responsibility first. These guys are great if you're trying to get something like an oil change. Been here a couple of times, and they still air up your tires, vacuum the driver and passenger side. Small details but for me makes a big difference for something I didn't ask to do. It's hard to find a place that's always consistent, not to mention I don't have to make any appointments. I have been here several times and each time the staff is great and I am helped imemdiately. Each time Mark has helped/checked us out. He will give random discounts that dont make a major dent in the total but the kind that puts a smile on your face. He will give you options and is very upfront about everything. This shop reminds me of the kind I used to hang around with my dad when I was younger. Vehicle work/diagnosis is hardly ever "Cheap" but this place really gives you your moneys worth. I have never experience such an unprofessional and rude staff in my life. I've never left a a business so unhappy and upset. I went to get an inspection on my navigator. Yes, I was a bit unprepared, as it is my tia's truck, so I did not have the insurance ready. The first gentleman told me fairly rudely "park over there and come back when you have your insurance ready" so I parked over "there" as told and received the insurance. I drove back to show my insurance and get the truck inspected. As I drove up, a different gentleman told me very rudely and annoyingly "What are you doing?! You're suppose to stay parked over there and when you get your insurance come to show it!" (At this point, I'm very little angry and sad that he talked to me in this manner when I gave him no reason to) Even with this ugly treatment I was receiving, I still remained calm and responded "I have my insurance ready. Who do I show it to and where do I go to get the inspection?" The same second rude gentleman told me "Go back and park over, roll your windows down and keep the key in the truck. I will tell him you have you have your insurance." I parked and sat in my car for about 5 minutes. While waiting I told my self "Why am I even going to choose to wait here and get an inspection with how I am being treated here?" So I decided to leave and go get one somewhere else. I am not sure why this staff was so rude or in a bad mood, but I gave them no excuse to bring it out on me or treat me in that manner. No matter the situation, it is not okay to treat the customer that way especially if I did not give them a reason to. I ended up going to jiffy lube - round rock to get an inspection and was treated much better and profesional as it should be. I do not recommend this place at all and am never going back for any services. read more

I just moved to Texas and needed to get my State Inspection taken care of. I came by with about 30 minutes left on my lunch, but I didn't push the time constraint. Either way the guys were really fast, it took about 10 minutes. The only extra charge was for replacing the windshield wipers. In AZ, they don't make you do a "safety inspection", only the emissions, so I was a little taken back, but that's not to any fault of the business. Other reviewers were saying that the interior isn't amazing, and it's not. But I'd rather a mechanic that does their job well and quickly and doesn't gouge, than a big mechanic that prefers flashy gimmicks. I'll definitely come back here for other maintenance. read more

WARNING!!! Pit Pros on Mays is absolute garbage. After getting my oil changed here I now have a drip coming off of my oil drain plug. And there is some silicone caulk type of stuff around it. I called them and their technician admitted that they cross threaded or stripped the threads on the plug. They said to bring it back in and they would take care of it. The manager or owner named Mark now tells me that the oil pan is just worn out and there is nothing they can do and he tells me I need to get a new oil pan installed. After pushing back a bit and trying to talk common sense with him he became very angry and told me he would no longer be discussing it and said I could just go somewhere else. AVOID THIS PLACE! My husband and I always take our cars here for inspections. The employees are very nice and I was in and out in about 10 minutes. We don't get our oil changed here...we take our cars to the dealership, that's just what we do, so I can't speak about the quality of service for oil changes that other people had problems with. Yes the building is old, the waiting room isn't fancy but it's a garage for Pete's sake. As long as they do a good job, I'm happy. read more

Went in for a state inspection. Thus snarky kid that came out to my car wanted me to leave the keys in the ignition, and window down. It was raining. I wasn't comfortable with the keys in the ignition part, but no way I was leaving the window down. I point this out. His reply? "We can't help you then".
