It needed a new camshaft and we went with a Non-OEM camshaft. As it turns out, Jabob had to do the work twice becasue the non-OEM camshaft was not manufactured correctly. You would expect that the new part would be manufactured correctly - but there were visibile differences when compared side to side. Jacob spent a lot of time before diagnosing that the replacement camshaft was bad and I was not charged anything extra.

I researched the cost of the tire and Discount Tire cost was in the mid $300 range. I took my car there, I was prepared to pay for a new tire. But when Discount Tire checked it out, they were honest and told me that my tire was totally repairable and they would repair it for no charge. Honestly, is always the best policy; instead of certain industry practiced by some companies. Now guess where I'll take all my tire business?

So, I instructed them to move forward with their professional recommendations in an effort to rectify the noise. Two days later, I received a call, and I was informed that everything suggested had been fixed, but upon a test drive a slight noise was still noted. So, then I was asked if I could leave my car there until Monday for further assessment. Monday, I received a call indicating that what they had previously fixed was not the actual source of the noise, so several additional repairs were recommended. Long story short, my car is now making a louder noise and appears to be in worse condition than it was before I took it this place. Furthermore, the owner was rather nonchalant regarding my concerns, and his only suggestion was to spend more money to fix additional things. Took, my vehicle to obtain a second opinion and the mechanic was instantly able to identify the source. So, this leads me to believe that initially they lied about the source of the noise, so they could get more money.

I got there in 10 min on my way home and was told it was just slightly over an hour before closing, so they could not check my tires, just my tire pressure. They told me they were very slightly off but fine. Sunday my mom got taken to the hospital, so I was driving from Chicago to Oak Brook to Elmhurst and on my way home, the light goes off again. Later in the evening a neighbor tells me to go here and not to the dealership or I will get ripped off. I checked out the reviews and see they are open until 2am! So I get here at 10:30 p.m. and the guys are really nice. I explain what is going on and that I do not know which tire it could be. They offered me a bottle of water and as I was waiting I also got to try some imported grape juice. They checked all my tires, found the one with a nail in it, and I was out the door in 30 min! They were just so nice and friendly and took care of the problem so fast, I really appreciated it. Thanks to them I was able to get into the office in the morning and not miss a meeting, and I am sure I paid WAY less than what the dealership would have charged me! Thanks SO much!!!

I have been coming to him for the past few years. I asked him a favor to see if he could fix my car in a day because I needed it for work the following day. There was a noise coming from my passenger front tire and thought it might have been an axle. He was able to get me in on time and was able to get my truck in right away to take a look at it. It ended up being just my tire rubbing up against the brake line which was much cheaper then I expected. Also great thing I got it replaced when I did because if it was left unattended it could have been extremely unsafe if the line would have ruptured. Guero was able to get it back to me same day no problem. Great service, honest prices, quality work. read more

I took my car in like I've done in the pass thinking I know what was wrong Willy took my car for a test drive and when he came back he laughed and said how big was the pot hole I replied I don't know. He showed me the problems that I had and gave me a excellent price for parts and labor. In at 8am out by 11am. Heard about this shop from a friend. So I took my car in for engine repair and was fixed in a fair amount of time and the price was cheaper then my regular mechanic. So he now has a regular customer. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

Went for an oil change, tire rotation and once over before putting my vehicle on the road in late June. Was told my radiator had a leak and it would be expensive to repair. Weeks prior, my husband vehicle had been leaking fluids on the garage floor, so i purchased two silver large cookie sheets from a auto mechanic store, to catch liquid and keep from staining the floor, put one under each vehicle. His vehicle did continue to leak and stain the pan, but my mine was clean nothing, and still looking new after several weeks. I explained this to the very polite and professional desk personnel. He insisted there was a leak. I'm panicking because I was unsure if we should put the vehicle on the road. But we did, stopping along the way to check the radiator fluids several times, never did the fluids go low even to today, That was in late June and here we are in mid October. When I took the vehicle to Pete's for brakes had him check the radiator for any leaks or abnormalities. Me Pete stated, there was no leaks and he looked fine, which saved me around 1700.00. Thank you Pete's!!!!!

They easily could have told me I needed new pads and sold them to me, I wouldn't know the difference, as I am not a "car person". They told me I still have a ways to go before I need new pads. I really appreciate their honesty. Then they found a nail that had been in my back tire and removed it and plugged it for a very reasonable price! This system worked perfectly before my visit and is something I use daily. I mentioned it right away, and a staff member showed me the navigation module located in the glove compartment (something I had never needed to access before). He briefly handled it and then told me it "wasn't working." That didn't sit right with me. When I got home, my husband took a closer look and discovered that the SD card inside the navigation module was missing. We ended up purchasing a replacement ourselves, but even after installing it, the system still does not work. At this point, the only reasonable conclusion is that something happened to the navigation module during service. Whether it was removed, swapped, or mishandled, the fact that a key component was missing and not disclosed is extremely concerning. What's most upsetting is the lack of accountability. Instead of acknowledging the issue, it was brushed off. I brought my car in for a simple oil change and left with a non-functioning navigation system. Be cautious bringing your vehicle here--especially if you value transparency and trust
