I called Kyle after reading his good reviews. I wasn't sure if I had a serious plumbing issue or if it was perhaps just my kitchen garbage disposal. We spoke on the phone and he made several suggestions first regarding the disposal, odors, use etc. I had already tried all of these with minimal results - but it was good to know I was potentially on the right track. We made an appointment for him to come and replace the garbage disposal (15 years old). I purchased the garbage disposal. Kyle arrived on time and was very polite and friendly. He replaced the disposal in short orders. After he left and I was running water for a bit, I noticed there was some sort of leak. I discovered one of the rubber hoses attached to the disposal was corroded and had split and was leaking. I called Kyle and he returned later in the afternoon. So... picture this. You're me... at home on a Sunday... with a wife, a baby, and a couple kids... and only one bathroom. Now imagine being me when that one bathroom - the one and only toilet in the entire house - clogs up. Now, take it one step further... imagine being me when that toilet clogs and starts backing up unimaginable filth into the bathtub. I believe the classic expression to use here is, "Well... crap." After fighting with Cheapo Depot augers and a plunger for few hours (yes, really... a few hours... I gave it all I had), I started calling one plumber after another in hopes of getting some help. Did I mention it was a Sunday? Luckily for me, I managed to get a hold of Kyle fairly easily, even though it was already about 6 or 7 pm. He was at the house within half an hour. Have you ever had a plumber come over for a job, track dirt and grime through your carpet, flash the crack of his ass, and hand you a bill? Well, I have. It's kind of a "cold" experience, and that's what I was prepared for. But Kyle... oh no, not Kyle... the guy took his shoes off to walk into my house. When he finished with the plumbing issue, he cleaned up after himself, and well. I mean, I literally had to tell the guy to stop cleaning (I made a fair amount of that mess, why should I let him clean it for me?). In any case, he pulled the toilet off the floor, pushed a 100ft auger through the pipe, broke through the clog, cleared the bathtub drain for good measure, put everything back together and was done in less than two hours. He even helped locate the sewer access port that my front lawn devoured some time ago. VERY reasonable bill, too. At the end of the night, we shook hands and he was on his way. wow- I'm super impressed. Highly highly recommend this guy- Kyle is really great. I've been having some minor, non-urgent issues with my toilet so I had him come out and take a look. He was able to come out quickly (within a day). When he came over, of course, my toilet was on it's best behavior- working just fine. :o/ We flushed it many times and he believes maybe toilet paper was a problem but toilet paper eventually dissipates and water flows easily again. I mentioned a few other things I wanted to do-ie. replace a shower head and he explained the simple process of swapping out a shower head. He would have demonstrated how to use a toilet snake- but since there wasn't a problem- he didn't need to. But how nice is that? For him to show us how to easily fix things so we don't have to call plumbers for every little problem is just awesome. Most plumbers would fix easy, minor problems and charge as if it were a major problem. Not Kyle- and now he is my official plumber for everything now! Oh, and one more (major) thing- he was here for at least half an hour and since there was no repair needed to be done- he didn't even charge me for showing up. If I had cash on me, I would've insisted on paying him at least gas money. I am very happy and pleased- I just can't say it enough. Well, the other reviewers weren't wrong -- Kyle called me back promptly, quoted the job over the phone, scheduled an appointment the same day (Saturday evening), called ahead before showing up, and then showed up on time. He then diagnosed the problem and snaked our kitchen drain -- it turned out to be a very stubborn clog and he ended up snaking it for 2+ times until it relented. Afterward he cleaned up and the charge was very reasonable. He also told us that his work is guaranteed for 30 days, so we could call him back to have the drain unclogged. The last thing he asked was, "is there anything that I could have done to make this visit any better?" -- to which I said no. He looked for the cut out valve that would let him access the block from the front. No such luck. He spent an hour in the hot sun running a 100' snake through the drain -- and, when he couldn't hit anything, he didn't charge me. It wasn't his fault that I didn't know where in my front lawn the front access was, but he still didn't charge me. Do you know how much I respect that? He explained instead how I should call the county to make sure that the blockage was not on their end of things. It turned out it was -- and five hours later I had things working again. Wow...Kyle came out to my house and just left. Not only was he on time, he was friendly and explained everything to me. My toilet backed up and flooded my downstairs bathroom. I prayed to God that He would fix it. In the book of Job it says that God can dry up the ocean with a command. So I asked God to fix the drains and plumbing. He did fix it and I did not know it because I did not flush the downstairs toilet. so...When Kyle came out he said there was no problem everything was draining fine and no back up. Well, main sewer line plugged again with toilet backing up into my tub....@#%**$! Called Kyle late Friday and he volunteered to come right away at no extra charge, but I told him we'd get by the night, just as early as possible Saturday. We agreed on 7:00 and he was right on time, snaked the line in all directions, and of course he identified the block and cleared it on first shot. He then advised me on causes so I can go to the property manager about addressing the actual cause of the issue (which is their problem to fix). Kyle is fantastic. Something weird is going on with our pipes, but he came back to our home to unclog them a second and third time without charging us an additional dime. He is prompt, hard-working, personable, and very responsive to the calls and concerns of the customer. Haven't had opportunity to try his handyman skills, but looking forward to that as well. Boy was I wrong. Kyle deserves each of his stars - and then some. With an ugly, ugly toilet blockage - one that resisted 'down the drain' liquids and even initial snaking - I called Kyle's dad (Prudent Plumbing). He referred me to Kyle for unblocking and, moments after explaining the problem to Kyle - he diagnosed it as one of two things, gave me a very fair quote for either and promised to be round in an hour. He arrived when he said - did what he said - it cost what he said (VERY reasonable too) - cleaned up as he said - and it was all done. To say I was impress is underselling it. I called for service due to a leak in my shower. I contacted Kyle after seeing the positive reviews on Yelp. He did not disappoint. Kyle was thorough and fixed my issue with the shower. Although the shower had an outdated cartridge design inside the handle, Kyle was able to locate the right part which was available at a specialized store, not your average Home Depot part. This evidentially took him several trips to different stores and extended the need of the service, however he never altered his original quoted price and made sure he found the absolute correct part. I'm very late in writing this review. I have had an ongoing problem with my mainline sewer drain pipe for years. I live in an older house and the main line runs adjacent to an old Ash tree and I have problems with roots from time to time. I guess the BEST thing about Kyle was that he answered my call and arrived at my house promptly. He was very efficient and cleared the main line problem quickly. I then asked him if he could clear my line that serves the kitchen and laundry and how much it would be. To my surprise he said he would do it for me AND at no extra charge. OKAY lets stop here....
