I was extremely pleased with the workmanship that Kyle did on my backsplash in my kitchen. He went out of his way to compensate for the uneven counter that I had. His final touches made it look unique! I had to ask Kyle to come back because of some glue on my cupboards and he came on that same day. The only thing that I would comment on is that the starting date had to be changed a couple of times, but both his wife and he himself apologized numerous times. Kyle was great! We had a small kitchen backsplash we wanted redone -- many people didn't want the job because it was too small for them. Kyle treated us professionally and he was extremely communicative, polite, punctual, and responsive via email and text message. He did such a fantastic job that we decided to ask him to also re-tile our fireplace as a second future project. For our kitchen backsplash, we used handmade tile that required an artistic eye since it had a random accent color in the geometric tiles -- Kyle knew just what to do. It's awesome and we are so happy. To top it off, he was clean and vacuumed up frequently (we have a newborn baby in the house, so having a clean kitchen at the end of the day was really nice). Initially, I was pleasantly surprised with my engagement with Kyle. He's showed regard for my project, some unique concerns I had, project timing and was reasonably priced. Kyle struck me as very professional and not like a lot of the rest of the contractors out there, many of whom are very flaky. The job started late but it seemed the excuses were legitimate. He managed the project schedule pretty well. I was having my kitchen floor & 2 small bathroom floors done including installing new toilets. Kyle and his "right-hand" guy, Ryan, did the two bathrooms and the floors turned out great. He had an employee do the kitchen, which did not turn out as well. There were several high spots in the joints, many chipped edges (we have ample material left over - i wish more care had been taken in selecting the individual tiles) and several areas where grout was left on the tile surface. Kyle came back within a couple weeks, cleaned up the grout and filled the chips. He also removed and reset the high tiles. I will call Kyle again when it's time to remodel my bathrooms. read more

Kyle was very easy to work with...came on time, had tile resources, did exactly what he said plus whatever he thought might be helpful for a successful completion of the job. Had to ride this small bathroom remodel for months to get it done and in the end, lots of bad cuts and chips that had to be popped and redone. Attention to detail is not very good. My shower glass installer said unprompted: "You know, this tile work is not very good". Then I feel like the fool for selecting this service. I encourage you to avoid. Things started out okay with Kyle. He seemed like a great guy and I was happy to have found him. Some of the early work he did for me went fine - two small bathroom floors and a fireplace facade. But then a master bathroom remodel project became a nightmare and he did not follow through to finish or fix his work. Details follow if you're interested... After the near completion of a large bathroom remodel and paying most of the money owed, it was apparent I had serious problems. First, the mosaic tile shower pan he built looked very sloppy and did not drain water properly. I saw trouble when he was building the mortar bed and raised my concern that it may not drain water properly. But Kyle assured me he would have the issues sorted in the end. Instead he left me with something that had to be torn out, re-floated and re-tiled by someone else. Second, there is a significant amount of grout haze left behind everywhere in the whole bathroom. Unfortunately it's epoxy grout, which he assured me he was experienced with and knew how to use properly. Well apparently he didn't. In addition to these tile screw ups, he left some final steps of the remodel project completely unfinished. He just disappeared after collecting the majority of the payment for the job. My mistake was not holding back a larger amount. I received many messages at different times from Kyle saying he'll be back the next day or the next week to finish but he never showed or called to explain himself. I've since hired someone else to finish the work. And of course paid a lot of money to have the shower pan re-done correctly by someone else. Ultimately, after staying on his case, I did get Kyle to drop off new tiles to replace the ones that had to be torn out. But the significant labor cost for the re-do work was on me. And I'm still needing to sort out the grout haze problem which will add more cost. You'd think I would have recourse through his contractor bond. But, turns out he's no longer licensed or bonded as he claims. At least not as of the writing of this review. However, he continues to give out his old contractor license number, which expired in 2013. I also am waiting for him to look at some cracked glass tile which cracked because he refused to use the underlayment recommended by the manufacturer and the tile store. read more

I writing an update. Since my last posting, Kyle has came back 5-6 times to find the water leak problem( this is after 10+ times making appointments and not showing up) ．he couldn't fix the leak. So he took all the tiles out and said he is going to a redo. At that time he admitted that he took a short cut when doing the water proofing and it was not the right way to do it. He promised again to show up and finally he was quite, no show , no reply. I am left with a deck wide open and no water proofing , no tiles. I would certainly hope people reading this find a another tile worker than Kyle and stay out of him, you'll be doing self a big favor. read more

Kyle and his crew did my floors in my house about 2 weeks ago. He was very professional. From start to finish he explained everything to detailed to me and wife. We did a subway pattern and everything is better then what we expected. His was not the lowest nor the highest. I just liked his professional attitude. I normally don't use yelp but I did see some of reviews before making my decision and I tell you what. I am very happy we did go with him. I know remodeling can be a tough task and Kyle explained that from the beginning. My opinion to all these review websites people can write anything they want and the business owners can't make everyone happy all the time. If it was that easy everyone would be doing it. Kyle helped with a small bathroom remodel for me to install tile in shower/bath and tile floor. Generally he was very responsive and on-time. He sent me txt messages if he was running late. He helped repair an unexpected leaking copper pipe and did not charge extra. For reference the bathroom was 10'X5' floor and was a standard shower/tub size. I did the tear out myself so he only did the tile installation. He charged $3,250 for tile installation work. I had a heavy vanity to install after the tile was done on the floor and Kyle made it a point that he would help me move it into the bathroom and said he could get his crew to assist. Even made it a point to show me pictures of how big his guys were. After he received his final check, he was out and the next txt he sent me was saying his truck broke down and he was not able to come help with the vanity that day so he would keep me apprised and hoped to get a rental truck. To make a long story short, he flaked and did not txt me back and did not help move the vanity. Since the vanity move was not part of the work order, I can't say he should be bound by that, but it does speak to one's character to some degree by not honoring what you say. A simple "hey, changed my mind and cannot help with the vanity" would have been nice. In terms of the tile work, I would say speed of work would be a grade of a B+ and the quality of workmanship is a C. Would have rated him a 3 star if he would have followed through with his word on the vanity. read more

I have used Kyle before to tile my kitchen and he did a great job! I tried to hire him again to tile my bathrooms and it turned into a nightmare! He was supposed to show up Thursday @ 8 so I gutted my bathrooms Wednesday night. He had some personal issues that morning but stated he would still stop by and do the work that day. After hunting him down I finally get a response @ 5:30pm with an excuse. So we set it up for Friday and he doesn't show up. I called him all morning and every time I got the same answer : I'm running late I'm on my way! I had to tile them myself over the weekend and it has been 3 days and still no call from him. I would have been happy with the truth of sorry but sh&t came up and I will be unable to do the Job! read more

Kyle is one of a kind. His work is awesome, his rates are great and he knows how to do a job correctly. His prices are very affordable, as a matter of fact, he was half the price of the rest of the bids. His quality of work is superior. I had another tile installer do a couple of small jobs in my house and it took him six weeks to complete. Kyle installed a shower pan (6 ft.
