Yummy yummy yummy is all I can say. I don't know why this place doesn't have a better rating than what it has. Everything was delicious. I had the deep fried gyoza which was served with a dipping sauce that was flavorful. I also opted for the yummy yummy roll without cream cheese or it being deep fried and that tasted amazing. My husband had the sexy salmon roll and was head over heels in love with it. To top it all off we shared a plate of the beef fried rice and that was the cherry on top to a delightful dinner. Family was in town and they wanted to take the kids out for dinner. So why not food and fire? It had been a while since we had hibachi at least since Covid so we looked it up... on YELP of course... and found Kyoto. The place was convenient and the people were very nice. The chef began his show at our table and the kids loved it. I mean what's better to a kid than fire and a rubber chicken that lays eggs on the griddle... we ordered steak salmon and chicken. Another couple with us got the same but shrimp instead of salmon. The fried rice was very good the steak tender and the chicken moist and flavorful. The others said the shrimp was cooked just right because it is easy to overcook unless your chef was like ours and able to spin a spatula twirl a fork and keep all the different items from over or under cooking. The service was great my glass never went below halfway very attentive and quick. The ambiance was like most but not over done. Why not 5 stars you may ask the miso soup didn't have a lot of flavor and yes I know I'm talking about broth basically but I have had better and the ginger salad was drowning in dressing and it was only lettuce which had a coupe of pieces a little rusty on the ends. This caused me contact the local health department and I was informed they have an insect, rodent issue within their establishment. I hadn't been to hibachi with my husband before. This was pretty bad. We got there right before 8:10 PM with posted hours of 9:30 PM closing. We got seated at a table that already had a family of 3 which must have gotten seated shortly before us. Another party also got seated with us (don't even get me started, they were the most obnoxious people ever). The restaurant was full with every hibachi grill occupied but only 2 hibachi chefs. They were initially pretty prompt, and took our orders, shortly followed by soup and salad. The soup was a fish based broth instead of a typical miso or onion soup and had sliced mushrooms floating in it. My husband wouldn't eat it. The ginger salad dressing was pretty good but the lettuce was sopping wet. After that, we waited for quite a long time- around 40 minutes, for the hibachi chef to make his way over. It was about 8:50- I glanced at my husband who was checking something on his phone. Here's my main gripe. They charge extra for fried rice instead of steamed. What they don't say is that it's bacon fried rice. I don't eat pork, and neither did the other family. In fact the other party had a vegetarian. Spoilers- she barely touched her food. This place is NOT vegan friendly and I would go so far as to say it is not vegetarian friendly either. I saw she had ordered the fried tofu and it was served with bonito (fish) flakes on top of it. The hibachi chef asked all of us if we wanted bacon fried rice and he brought a portion of bacon that was enough for the whole table. The only people who wanted bacon were my husband and the girl next to him, so 2 out of 6 diners. The entire bacon portion was used anyway, and was splattering everywhere as it cooked. The chef was using the same utensils to cook the bacon as he was for literally everything else, so if you don't want bacon fried rice but someone else at your table does, guess what! You're getting bacon, baby! The poor vegetarian lady was just staring at the grill top the entire time and so was I. I was not happy at all. The portions were seemingly given at random, as I got barely any rice served to me. I also watched as the chef cooked shrimp, beef and chicken all at the same time with wildly different cook times, so yes, I saw him flipping raw chicken and then using the same spatula to serve the cooked shrimp. I personally waited til all of my food was cooked to start eating, which meant my rice was cold and my veggies were warm. Most of the people did not wait (except vegetarian lady, who only picked at her vegetables, :( ) to eat their food which meant they were using up their yum yum sauce. They asked the chef for a refill and he said yes in a second but did not give any until he was totally done cooking which meant that most people had already eaten a good portion of their food without the sauce. There was also a mixup for the other party at the table where they messed up the hibachi order. Only 1 person had ordered shrimp and they gave the shrimp to 2 people instead and omitted the chicken that they actually had ordered. Unfortunately will not be returning here. Then the sushi took another 15 minutes... Then the gyoza took another 15 after that. My husband was well done with his sushi before the gyoza ever got to the table for my little one and I. The sushi was fishy and not very fresh at all. The hand rolls were abnormally small and the fish was cut extremely thick. My husband hated it. The gyoza was greasy and not very flavorful at all. You can tell it's just a frozen bag of potstickers from H Mart or something. I would no longer recommend this business as they have significant cross contamination issues. My family ordered sushi rolls and cucumber salad appetizers. We spent a total of $120+ for our order. My husband and I have significant food allergies and therefore I asked for thing to be boxed together specifically. The food was boxed correctly together but even with that, my husband had a serious allergic reaction to the two rolls he ate. There were no ingredients to be was allergic to in his rolls, so the only other plausible explanation is cross contamination of the area or utensils used to make the rolls. If you have food allergies, please don't eat this food...you are taking a VERY significant risk with your health if you do. read more

Staff was very friendly. The ambiance however was not great. The place is so brightly lit and the hibachi grills are all out in a very open space. It felt more like a cafeteria. The show was pretty good and the food was much like most hibachi restaurants. I know it must be hard to stand out when the menus are all pretty much the same and the food is all cooked the same way. The soup was better that the places that put pasta in it. Fried rice was pretty good- we ordered it spicy and had to remind him multiple times even though we were the only ones at the table. Pass on the tempura though- way too doughy and more like southern fried than japanese. And they may want to lose the christmas music- sounded like an asian karaoke bar. Would have preferred soft culturally appropriate music. Anyway, worth going if you are craving hibachi. My daughter and I went for dinner and sat at the hibachi table with another family. When we ordered our food they asked if we wanted pork and we declined, yet the other family wanted pork in their food. When the chef began to make the food he cooked the bacon and moved it to the side as he was about time pour on the rice, (directly into the area he'd just cooked the bacon), I immediately told him we can't have the pork touch our food so he scrapped the spatula across the cooktop as if that was clearing off the pork. I called the waiter over to explain what had occurred and he said "have you been here before? We don't just cook for one person, we cook for the entire table". I also noticed when I got the bill they added a $2.50 cent charge onto my bill for fried rice which no one asked if I wanted white rice or fried or mentioned anything about the charge. I ordered a chicken bento box and switched out the california roll for shrimp tempura roll. They said it would be $1 extra so I went for it. A LOT of fried rice came with it. It was very good. Took leftovers home. Chicken was juicy, tender and flavorful. Tempura veggies came with it, as well as part of an orange. When this restaurant opened a few years ago, I used to frequent it mainly for the sushi. I had the hibachi once and it was excellent! I then moved away and happened to be in the area again for a personal trip. I wanted sushi so I stopped in with my fiancé. The sushi was as good as I remembered in the past. The guy making the sushi was sloooow! I heard others at the sushi bar say that the other guy is much faster. They were also out of the asparagus that was supposed to be in one of our rolls so we selected a different roll. Overall, still a good place to get some sushi! read more

Our waitress coughed over the grill top and wiped her nose with her hands multiple times. I ordered Sashimi Appetizer... when my appetizer came... there was clearly no sashimi on the plate; except Nigri. He took our plate of sushi away and came back with the correct one. My brother in law ordered Vegetable Udon. First our server told us "we don't have."
