Staff was kind, telling me of the different options. This is great to see such variety at a Poke spot. The prices were reasonable. I did end up choosing making my own Poke bowl with salmon, Cajun tuna and bbq eel and ending with the Poke-man sauce which has a salty, sweet and spicy flavor that was what I was looking for. I hope more people stop in and make it a place that stays around. I would be happy to stop back in if I am passing through again. Holy cow, this was the best poke bowl I've ever had in my life! I'm never really good at ordering food at "build your own meal" places so I asked the server if she could make her favorite bowl and this was what she recommended. It was absolutely amazing. There is lots of parking available as this is in a strip mall. It's not much to look at inside (there were boxes and things piled up in the back of the dining area), but there were still people eating inside and tables available if you really wanted to. (I wouldn't recommend.) The staff was super kind and helpful making recommendations for my build your own poke bowl. There were SO many toppings to choose from, but opted for a normal sushi rice bowl with ahi tuna and salmon topped with edamame, mushrooms, carrots, jalapeños, cucumber, scallions, mango, tempura crunchers, masago, and spicy ginger sauce. It was assembled pretty quick (I got my food much faster than my friend who ordered at the Panera next door), and was super fresh and satisfying. read more

Stopped on a road trip off this exit and needed to find a good gluten free vegan restaurant. Next door was Panera, which is where I was headed for a salad, but decided to check this place out instead. Wow! So glad I did! I got the vegetarian bowl, which was rice, mixed greens, tofu, edamame, sweet onions, cucumbers.. and they had gluten free soy sauce which I subbed out for what was on the dish. It was so good! The poke bowl was fresh and delicious. If you have never been to a place like this, I suggest asking for recommendations because all of the ingredients could be a little overwhelming. I also got the brown sugar bubble tea which was a bit too sweet for me. For next time, I'll ask for a little less sugar. Stumbled upon this great spot on my way to Indy from Chicago. Poke, ramen, and hibachi grilled bowls. It was real cold and snowing outside so ramen was my choice. I picked the spicy seafood miso ramen and it hit the spot! You can customize your order to your exact liking which was awesome. Very generous portion of shrimp and the soft boiled egg was done perfectly. Not too spicy but that might just be me, they'll give you extra jalapeños and have siracha if you you need to crank up the heat. These were the two bowls we created: My Lady's Bowl: Sushi Rice, Salmon, BBQ Eel, Octopus, Cucumber, Hijiki Seaweed, Cilantro, Red Cabbage, Spicy Ginger, S- Eel Sauce, Masago (Fish Egg), Crab Salad, Seaweed Salad, Fish Cake, Diced Mango, and Rice Puff. My Bowl: Noodles, Ahi Tuna, Salmon, Shrimp Tempura, Cucumber, Hijiki Seaweed, Cilantro, Red Cabbage, Eel Sauce, Masago (Fish Egg), Crab Salad, Shredded Carrots, Fish Cake, Diced Mango, Extra Kizami Shoga (Sweet Pickled Ginger), Extra Seaweed Salad, Wonton Crisps, and Fried Tobiko. She then ordered the Jasmine Green Milk Tea with Lychee Boba and I had ordered the Peach Slushi with Peach Boba. I can say the bowls were very filling, very yummy too. The prices seem high, but if you think about it.... it's really not. If you. It one sushi roll anywhere else you are going to pay almost $10. And that's about 3 1/2 rolls worth they put in the bowl. I absolutely love sushi, so I was really excited when I found out this restaurant was opening close to my current apartment because it is similar to sushi. I have now been here twice in the short amount of time they have been open because I loved it so much! Everything about this place is awesome. The workers are really nice, and very helpful too, which is a huge plus. The food itself is amazing. Every one of their ingredients was very fresh in the poke bowls, which I appreciated a lot. I'm a huge fan of foods with a lot of fresh veggies and fruits. Their fish tasted really fresh too, which was great, because I have been to some places where the fish is gross because it is 1) not fresh or 2) warm. My sister and I went once a few days after they opened. We both got bowls with a variety of ingredients, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our bowls. I went again when they were running a special so I could get a poke bowl, and so I could get wings for my husband since he is not a fan of fish. I got the spicy garlic for him, and he really liked them! I did not end up trying them, but I was happy he liked them. In sum, this restaurant is GREAT. After a bite into the 3rd one, The torture of trying to tolerate them out weighed the cost. Additionally these things were served to me saturated in oil. Not too bad. I had mine door-dashed, so I can't speak to the location itself. The packaging and appearance are attractive. Jasmine milk tea was good, a little watered down. The size of the bowl is well worth the price, but only two protein scoops. The salmon wasn't bad, but not melt in your mouth soft. The brown rice could have been cooked just a touch more and would be better hot, but there was soo much of it. I would have done 1/2 rice 1/2 spring mix or kale if it were an option. I tried the shredded beets for a change and added iron to my diet. I'll try Poke-man again. read more
