The bag was quite heavy with only four tacos in it- and when I opened them up I thought WOW this is going to be amazing. My Mar Y Tierra taco was delicious! I did get a grizzly piece of meat on my first bite but aside from that the taco was enormous and perfect. I loved the melted cheese on the tortillas too. To be honest, the one taco would've been enough food for me and I can eat a lot. I put just a little bit of their red salsa on it which went perfectly. I wish I had stopped there, but not knowing the tacos would be that big, I had ordered a Ranchero shrimp taco also. I like Ranchero sauce and it sounded good. It was disgusting. The shrimp itself was fine, which is what I ate off the taco. I started eating it with a fork because the thing was too damn big to try to pick it up and eat it. Underneath the shrimp I have never seen so much minced garlic in my life. I tried to scoop it out, and I scooped out several tablespoons of it but it was ingrained all throughout the taco. There wasn't any discernible Ranchero sauce on it either, just a lot of diced up tomatoes, onions, and a splotch of some kind of cream sauce. I basically ate the shrimp off the top and threw the rest away. I had a terrible sour garlic taste in my mouth all day. I would go back again, but I would definitely not ever order that nasty taco. Maybe it was a fluke and it's not supposed to be made like that, but I don't feel the need to find out. read more

Stopped by for lunch and it gets busy, beware. I ordered the Mar y Tierra and Spicy Octopus tacos. Pros: huge serving, nice seasoning flavor, and quick turnaround. Cons: huge serving, super greasy, limited seating area (ate out of the trunk of the car), and about $8 per taco. Final note: my breath smells like onion and garlic 5 hours later and I'm still full. I'm 50/50 on whether I would go back. read more

I've driven past this place multiple times but always see a good amount of locals eating here so I finally decided to try it. I usually get my ceviche and fish tacos from kiko's ever since mariscos nine seas closed. I think Kyrios has better shrimp ceviche than Kiko's. Their plating is very basic compared to Kikos but their ceviche is definitely more flavorful and sour. I have always thought Kikos' ceviche to be more bland. However, the fish taco is just ok. It gets the job done but I think Kikos is better for fish tacos. My husband got the Sunny San Diego burrito which has shrimp and carne asada + fries. Safe to say that he said it's his new favorite burrito spot. They have two tables with benches for seating although most do take away! Will definitely be coming back when I'm craving ceviche. read more

Stopped in because we wanted ceviche and this place did not disappoint! Everything was so good but the birria didn't come with cheese on it which I thought was weird because back home where we live, all the birria spots have cheese. Service was good but food took a bit to receive. We sat outside on the picnic table they had under their covered area. My first time having food here and it was delicious! I ordered their carne asada fries and it was probably one of the best I've ever had. It was a good portion size, overloaded with delicious meat, cheese, sour cream, pico, fresh avocado. The fries were Cripsy and not soggy which was a plus! The service was great, it was a little on the slow side but that's with all food trucks. It's in the corner of the Blue Liquor store parking lot in Linda Vista. I highly recommend trying them out if you're in the area. I wish I took pictures of the food, but it was just that good. read more

Wow! This little taco truck is worth a trip no matter where you're coming in from. We've been trying a new spot every week and this is BY FAR the very best, most fresh seafood taco joint. Up there with Kiki's and Oscar's.. they just find a way to squeeze in even more juicy flavors somehow. Even the basic shrimp and grilled fish taco (Marlin) are packed with pure flavors. If you want to go unique and indulgent ... go with The Spicy octopus or the Gobernador. My favorite is the light peachy looking one. I dont know the name of it but it pairs perfect with the tacos. They have lots of other taco options I'm sure are delicious. They do this thing grilling the cheese on the tortilla upside down that kicks up the flavor. A bunch of good salsas and sauces.
