Spicy Mayo Hero and Oko fries
    Naomi T.

I got a combo with the Spicy Mayo Hero with chicken and tempura crumbs on a soft sweet bun with ginger soy slaw and a side of Oko fries (with Japanese BBQ Sauce and bonito flakes). The chicken was moist but the bun to chicken ratio was a bit off. The bun was pretty big and very filling but it's good if you're hungry. It was saucy and the flavours were good. The fries tasted similar to Costco fries (similar type of crispiness) but with sauce and bonito flakes so can't go wrong with that! The combo also comes with a canned drink of your choice.

Kept seeing this spot on Instagram and it was like subliminally telling me to get some birria!!! Those that have followed me for a long time know that I as a los angelino I refuse to eat overpriced hipster tacos!! Well I got suckered. Ordered 2 orders of the birria tacos which come with a small side of consommé and a half a wedge of lime cut in half. The presentation was gorgeous and they were actually filling! Flavours were a bit similar to my memories of growing up in Eagle Rock and East Los area but more Asian flavors?!!! also we ordered a HEROSHIMA and OMFG! Delish delish delish!!!! Is it sad that I can honestly admit the HEROSHIMA was waaaaay better than the oh so patiently waited for birria... I highly suggest you atleast try the birria once and please DO order the HEROSHIMA! There's many different flavours and skewers from chicken to pork to tofu and the bun is the best Hawaiian style bun ever! So why the 4 stars? I guess the value/pricing after factoring in the drive from White rock. Ended up over $67 and I know prices have been shooting up due to this pandemic and supply, demand. But for $60 I could get a lot more elsewhere. Don't get me wrong but for 6 tacos and one heroshima and side of fries $6.50 it was not worth the pricing. I could go down the road and get 25 tacos plus bags of salsa, radish, cilantro, onions for under $50 plus a side of elote. Still I think the cheapest birria out in Vancouver compared to 5 other local joints. I'm glad I was able to try it before everyone and their auntie go lineup or buy everything cause of the trend in social media. I'll be back to try a different heroshima one day soon.

Famous award-winning food truck that originated in Winnipeg that roams around. I went on a Saturday and visited their River District stop in New Westminster. I parked at the Save-On-Foods, and grabbed a random item to utilize their free customer parking, before walking a few minutes to the food truck. Great view with plenty of benches & outdoor seating, which is the perfect place to enjoy their unique fusion food truck items. Most of the items are both sweet and savoury, so the taste definitely never gets boring. It can get busy as they're very popular, so just be patient and wait for your order - it is definitely worth it! Phi (the head chef) is so full of energy and super nice. Great food and amazing experience overall. Japanese Popcorn Chicken ($10): deep fried chicken bites with their delicious spicy mayo as a dip on the side. Honestly, all their sauces are amazing. Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp Fries ($9.50): definitely eat this fresh, while the shrimp is crispy. It's coated with a sweet and savoury sauce, and spicy mayo. Lots of fries underneath too. Mango Chicken ($9.50): chicken skewer (twist and remove the stick before you eat it), mango sauce, pineapple salsa, mayo + garnish. Served on a light and fluffy sweet bun. Beef Quesabirrira Tacos ($15): 3 very flavourful tacos filled with braised beef, cheese, onions and cilantro and consomé (meat stock, used for a sort of dip). The taco and consomé are definitely flavourful, but a bit too salty for me. Probably best to share, as it gets heavy if you eat all 3 tacos by yourself.

Food truck swung by our television production and fed us last Friday night. IT WAS DELICIOUS! One of the best food trucks I've sampled on set. Really tasty. Would recommend the soft pork or spicy mayo.

Honest truth here, I'm not usually a food truck guy, unless i'm forced into it...like at an outdoor concert or at a fairground. So my experience in cuisine doled out of a truck is minimal, that being said, Kyu Grill certainly opened my eyes a bit wider. I ordered the Spicy Mayo "Heroshima", it was the first item on the menu and the picture looked incredible. You know when you sometimes see a picture of the product and when you get it, it looks totally different? Not the case here (check the pic out) and the taste was incredible and make sure you get a few more napkins. The Spicy Mayo is a chicken skewer served on a soft Hawaiian style sweet roll, heavily coated with (some) traditional Japanese toppings: Spicy Mayo Sauce (duh), Green Onion, Tempura Crumbs as well as Sriracha and another sauce that could have been more Mayo. The mouthfeel through each bit is terrific, the soft bun contrast to the protein with the crunchy toppings is near perfect. Also, I found this item very filling in its entirety for $10. It was so good, I already know what I'm going to order next time: The Noriyaki!

New Filipino gig in lower mainland, small place approximately houses 15 heads the whole eatery…read more Mostly Filipino customers lining up. I went here with a friend to try, well not bad actually, the carrying product is Lechong Cebu,a rosted pork. There are only few dishes in the menu, the server claimed they are coming soon. they also do catering service thats what the waitor told us. we wish to have a bulalo its a beef soup but sold out that day, so since we were already here and our cravings for this day is Filipino cuisine we ordered other availble dishes. First one is the pork sisig, it was good,we both dont eat liver so we asked the server to exclude it.oh how i missed home(Philippines) on first bite of the sisig,it was delish, the flavor of the spices, the lemon and the egg while it was smoking hot on a sizzling plate, very good. we ordered appetizer includes 2 Pork bbq, 2 feep fried spring rolls(lumpiang shanghai),and 3 pcs of chicken wings well i would say they were ordinary taste,we also got the beef caldereta,hmmmmm....another ordinary taste.plus we had the garlic rice and hot water with lemon. I am not sure if the dishes were pre-cooked. We havent try the carrying dish which is the lechon Cebu, for sure if we will come back thats the one we will going to order. Very small place, crews are bi-lingual and very friendly, you know friendliness is one of the best trait of Filipinos. They also sell some chicken skin chicharon and ube pandesal. Pricing is just okay, you pay for what you wil get. Theres no TV, but theres music playing while we were there.Wash room is available.(Needs a lot of make over and improvement with the interior design.) If am not mistaken this place is a bubble tea gig before,As per friends news it was sold. Wifi now is all over the city so i dont think that would be an issue. Parking is metered one unless you wish to park in some residential area and you will just do some waking...sometimes serious walking because it can be far. Most clients that day came for pick up orders..a lot of them so i feel that this place has a huge potential to bloom. Noise level is average and nothing i can say on the interior design because theres nothing at all, like i said it"s pretty new place. Good for small group and kids friendly. Im wishing the owner the best of luck...i hope they should incorporate more Filipino dishes in their menu. Accept credit and debit card and cash as well

The restaurant is clean and spacious plus very conveniently located. The sauce bar had fruit and plum juice, which was a nice bonus. I got the chicken soup base and it was pretty good. I think it could have been a bit more flavourful. Also, food took a while, and I noticed that they had chopped up my veggies before cooking. While it wasn't a ridiculously long wait, it did take a while despite there not being many customers. I do feel like the service and ambiance was lacking a bit. While I was there a bit later in the evening around 8pm, one of the workers started vacuuming, and from reviews it seems like they do free ice cream but I was never offered or made aware. I'm not sure I would come back since there are better options in Richmond. Other fast food malatang spots have better service, consistency, and speed. Not to mention this spot is actually more expensive than Big Way at $19.90/lb!

I've been here twice, and both times the food has been flavorful and satisfying. Their momos are juicy and packed with flavor, and the noodles bring just the right amount of spice. The place recently made some changes, so the taste may have slightly shifted, but it's still a solid spot to satisfy those Indo-Chinese cravings. The ambience is simple and fuss-free, focusing more on the food. I highly recommend the veg chop suey--it's absolutely delicious and a personal favorite!

We ordered the chilli garlic fried rice and chili chicken and liked both of them a lot! They both had a slight kick to them which we really enjoyed. The only negative that I experienced was that they brought our chili garlic noodles first, which we let them know was not what we ordered, so we had to wait for the fried rice. Then we got the fried rice but we waited for about 10 min for a chili chicken to arrive only to realize they forgot to put that order in. I think this would have been fine if the place was busy or we had ordered many items. But we only ordered 4 items out of which 2 of them were wrong or forgotten so I think the service could be more attentive! The service was very friendly otherwise. We enjoyed the food and are looking forward to returning and trying other items.
