Such a unique and interesting touch. Their menu felt a bit fusion-inspired which made the experience interesting. The pork belly in my ramen was seasoned with Chinese spices which I wasn't expecting. It tasted good on its own, although I wasn't completely sure how well it blended with the rest of the ramen. Came by for an early lunch on Saturday and there was only 1 other couple. The decor and layout of the restaurant is really fun, felt like we were in our own private pod. We ordered the classic omurice which came with a drink (we chose thai tea), mega ramen, and rice burger to try. The omurice was good and liked that the fried rice had chicken in it. It's a bit gimmicky and the quality of its ramen is not worth the price I came to this restaurant today to place a to-go order around noon. The original plan was for me and my companion to go to Okiboru, but on the way, he noticed an Indian restaurant that he really wanted go to instead so I agreed to get take out from Kyuramen which was in the same strip mall for convenience since I was craving ramen. Atmosphere: The lighting gives a nice natural vibe. Medium volume indie-pop music overhead. The sound of the A/C is noticeable from the lobby area, but I would imagine that you could still have a decent conversation with your companion with a normal voice. They have the "honeycomb" booths that are stacked on two levels which is fun for first-timers. Food: I got the #6 Kyushu Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen with the 2 pepper spice level ($16.99). The broth was a good level of spice and had decent flavor, but not to the level of richness I was expecting. The pork Chasu had decent flavor as well but was not very tender. The noodles were a bit doughy, wasn't the biggest fan of them. Service: Not much to say here as I ordered to-go. The staff were very kind and helpful. They greeted me as soon as I walked through the door and answered all of my questions. My food was ready to take home less than 10 minutes after placing my order. Overall: This is a tough review. Normally under the circumstances, I would give this a 2.5(which would round up to three) stars based on the quality of food vs the price I'm paying for. Not to mention I imagine if I were dining in, the service would have been great (considering I came during a slow time). I got the lunch special with lemonade, gyoza, and #2 ramen. The lemonade was okay, but very cucumber forward. The gyoza came with sauce on top and no soy sauce. Very pretty restaurant, however, a little disappointed with my experience at Kyuramen in Sandy Springs. I was surprised to see that our menus and table were not cleaned before being given to us. The water also tasted a bit off. We asked the server for new ones, but unfortunately, they used the same water supply and ice. I'm not sure what the source was, but it wasn't a pleasant way to start the meal. We tried to stay positive and hopeful about the food, but unfortunately, there was a lot left to be desired. We ordered Thai tea and noticed that the cream being used had been sitting out the entire time we were at the restaurant. The flavors of the ramen entrees were quite bland, almost as if they lacked seasoning. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, though still grateful for the meal. This franchise is starting to get well known. They just put a location closer off Howell Mill Rd. Which is nice, because I don't have to drive up into Sandy Springs or Duluth to get decent Ramen now. The first location up in Suwanee turned me away when they opened since I was dining solo. That didn't vibe well with me, but I've not had that issue anywhere else now that the "HYPE" has died down a little. Since then, the service has been great after giving them a second or third try. The locations are known for their hexigonal seating. Each "HEX" seats about 6 people comfortly. All locations have a Ramen bar toward the back and they also feature a Bobba Tea place off to the side. Which is great after if you're wanting something sweet after filling up on a huge bowl of ramen. The combo bowl is the way to go if you want to try different ramen. Otherwise, the Tonkatsu and Chicken Ramen options are great alone. They also offer several rice/fried rice options in case you're not in the mood for soup or noodles. The sides are also very tasty with options like Karaage, Steam buns and Gyoza. They also have Yakitori as an option which looks good. The last time I ate here, I had the Curry Ramen with Chicken Katsu and enjoyed that a lot. It's on par with Yakitori Jinbe off Cobb Parkway. Each have their own pros but none of them have any cons. Highly recommend trying Curry Ramen every once in a while when you're burned out on Tonkatsu. Great for a group setting. If you go during high traffic hours, expect to wait. This is my second time here and after coming twice and getting takeout, I can really say that this is probably the best Ramen that I've had in Atlanta. There is a Ramen spot up the street that got Michelin star attention and always has a line out the door, and people seems to pass Kyuramen by and I don't get it ! Both times I came here for dine in. I got the twin bowl CP #2 and it did not disappoint. I honestly think that this is the best value on the menu, and I hope that it stays permanent! The spicy show you is so rich and has amazing bold flavor. They do not skimp on the portions, even though the bowl is split in half. That's Sapporo miso is really special. It's not light like a miso soup, I would say it's a hybrid between a Tatu and a miso broth because it's not quite as heavy as the original tongue, Katsu on their menu. I thought Kyuramen might all be looks for TikTok and Instagram, but the food and drink here were actually decent and service was outstanding. If you've been curious about their unique honeycomb seating, twin bowl ramen, and video-friendly omurice, this place is worth checking out. Kyuramen is a chain with currently over 20 locations in the US. Most are in New York. The brand opened its second metro Atlanta location in Sandy Springs OTP (outside the Perimeter) in June 2023. This Kyuramen is located in the Abernathy Square shopping center (Publix) at the big intersection of Roswell and Abernathy Roads in North Fulton. This is a busy shopping center with plenty of parking. During our 6:30-8:30pm visit on a Tuesday night, the restaurant was slow to moderately busy. We wanted to sit in the honeycomb and had no problem getting a seat. This location has eight honeycomb cells. They're not for everyone because of the potentially-limited space and short, kind-of steep stairs. My friend and I had a lot of fun in our cell. Obviously, the novelty of Kyuramen's honeycomb seating is a big part of the restaurant's appeal. The dining room markets itself. The three honeycomb cells on the ground level are the bigger cells that can seat four people each, comfortably. I think up to six are able to squeeze into these bigger cells. The five honeycomb cells on the second and third levels can seat two people each, comfortably, and I think up to four can squeeze in if needed. My friend and I sat in one of the third-level cells which had a good view of the dining room below. The servers really get a workout going up and down the stairs. The restaurant also has a regular dining room with more practical "normal" seating, a ramen bar, and a private dining room. Additionally, there's a bubble tea shop attached/next door called TBaar: https://bit.ly/3SzOY6L Again, same owner. You can order from both the Kyuramen and TBaar menus at your table and put everything on the same ticket. Speaking of menus, there were six (!) one-pagers, back and front. They came in different sizes. We both thought it was a bit much and it could cause people to get confused, overwhelmed, and/or miss things. There was the seasonal special menu, the main menu, the twin bowl and burger menu, the TBaar menu, the alcoholic beverage menu, and the placard menu on the table with appetizers and combos. I know this is a chain so maybe the franchisee has to follow the format, but if I owned the place, I would consolidate the menus. Here's what we got: * Takoyaki Octopus Balls ($8.99) - six pieces * Ika Geso Kara-Age ($9.99) - fried squid tentacles * Pork Tonkatsu Omurice Combo with Demi Glace Sauce ($23.99) - includes one drink, either Amazing Lemonade or Thai Iced Tea * CP1. Black & White Couple ($18.99) - Tonkotsu-Shio and Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen with chashu pork, half marinated egg (each side), bamboo shoots, corn, wakame, and narutomaki * TBaar Thai Iced Tea with tapioca ($4.75 for large size plus $0.65 for boba = $5.40 total) Overall, I thought the food was good, not great. Everything was fresh. The Takoyaki and Ika Geso Karaage were par for the course in Atlanta. Both were tasty and I recommend them if you're looking for some yummy apps. The Takoyaki came with all the customary ingredients -- katsuobushi (fish flakes), takoyaki sauce, Japanese mayo, etc. The Ika Geso Karaage consisted of sizable, crispy, and scrumptious pieces of squid. The Omurice was well balanced and satisfying. It had an appetizing texture. You can order it with or without the pork cutlet. I highly recommend with. The cutlet was extra crispy and delectable. It went perfectly with the rice, egg, and sauce. As shown in videos, part of the fun of ordering Kyuramen's Omurice is how the omelet is cut open and finished at the table. After the sauce is poured, seaweed is sprinkled on top. Yum. I thought the ramen was OK by Atlanta standards. One thing that I thought was cool and that I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen anywhere else is the option to do the "twin bowl" ramen (reminds me of yin yang hot pot). For just a couple dollars more, you can try two different kinds of ramen in one bowl. I liked the Tonkotsu-Shio and Black Garlic Tonkotsu about equally. The portions were generous. Each side had two big slices of pork belly, half an egg, and more (e.g., narutomaki fish cake). The broths were satisfactory and the noodles were good (good texture). I loved all the green onion. Condiments at the table included shichimi togarashi (Japanese spice mix), sauerkraut pepper, and cayenne seasoning. Garlic would have been nice. The bubble tea from TBaar was fine. I have been to the Suwanee location and loved it so was glad this one is just as good. I told myself I'd try the ramen this time but got the tonkatsu omurice ($24) anyway It is lit and comes with a lemonade or Thai tea and a small pork tonkatsu which is kinda soggy on the bottom because of how it sits but it tasted great anyway. I do wish it came with tonkatsu sauce though. Between these two, I ended up with the half the omurice left for lunch the next day. Their lemonade is delicious though ... It's got cucumbers in it and maybe something else like mint? So refreshing I got the agedashi to try this time for the table and it was so good! I definitely could've eaten the whole plate and probably another one by myself. The tofu is creamy inside, crisp outside and sauce paired perfectly! My coworker tried the rice burger and wasn't crazy about the soft rice bun but liked the chicken karaage piece it came with. She also got a pork bao bun and I tried this one. We were craving ramen on a hot summer day and came across Kyuramen on instagram. This location opened in June 2023 and is paired with Tbaar which can help cure your bubble tea cravings as well. When you walk in you will notice a tree in the middle of the floor filled with wishes and goals from consumers which I thought was a unique touch. Of course, the highlight of the interior are the 3 level honeycomb cells where you can have a more intimate dining experience. There was a wait to sit in the honeycombs, but we decided to go ahead and sit in the middle tables since we were there for the food anyway. From Tbaar, we ordered the Dragonfruit Tea and Strawberry Green Tea both with milk foam. Both were made with the right amount of sweetness and perfect for a hot summer day. For food we shared the Okonomiyaki, then ordered a Tonkatsu Curry ramen and Spicy Kyushu Tonkotsu ramen. The quality and taste of the food was decent, however, a bit overpriced for the portions in my opinion. I came to grab dinner with a friend and we were able to snag a table on the honeycomb wall for our meal. The service was very friendly and super fast, and I thought the price wasn't too bad for a bowl of ramen. I tried the Tokyo tonkotsu shouyu and all I can say is that I'm a Jinya stan but they have some competition now! The bowl was decently sized, the soup was great, and there were plenty of toppings. We came here for the omurice. The egg was sliced and the glaze was poured at the table. It was supposed to be a visual occurrence, but it kind of fell flat as it was quickly done by the side of the table. There was also no option to not get the Thai tea. We also tried the twin ramen bowls where you can get two ramens in one bowl. I liked that idea as it is great for indecisive customers, but it might be better if customers can pick their 2 preferred broths vs picking from 3 set options. I probably won't try this again. The restaurant with the interesting hexagonal seating with three tiers is a definite draw and one of the reasons why people come here. They of course want to sit in one of these booths and take pics and what not. It's a super unique experience. What goes along with the seating? The food of course! Especially, the omurice. If you have ever ventured in YouTube land you may have passed by a video where you see a Japanese chef split an egg over rice and drizzle with a gravy/sauce on top. That's what they do at Kyuramen! While I didn't get it, I did get to see it and try a couple of bites. It was okay, but for that IG, it's everything. I wish it was a bit more theatrical when it's served at the table, but I understand that not every time would be perfect. I got okonomiyaki along with their new item on the menu which was the split ramen. You get two different broths and two different ramen in one bowl. I thought it was a neat idea but I think it's sort of hard to keep the broth from sloshing into each other and kind of contaminating the broths. I got the spicy broth, but the broth itself was okay but it was just spicy. There wasn't any depth to it that I wanted so I think that was a letdown. The ramen itself and experience was great though. I also got okonomiyaki which I thought was pretty tasty. Overall, Kyuramen was pretty good. I enjoyed the IG worth shots and the food. A bit pricey for what it was, but I understand why. I didn't know this was the place with honeycomb seating until I got here! Kyuramen is located in the Publix complex with plenty of parking. Once you enter, on the right they have a separate area if you want to pick up bubble tea. Luckily when we arrived, it was fairly empty so we got seated pretty quickly. For my meal, I went with the chicken ramen and asked for the spice on the side to customize it to my level. We got our food fairly quickly, and after being a diehard Jinya fan, I actually liked Kyuramen more! I liked that the ramen came with a seasoned egg and corn and a bit more chicken than Jinya. The broth was also delicious and super filling. We got our food fairly quickly and loved that it stayed hot until I finished. I loved the indoor set up with the honeycomb seating. This is a super cute restaurant with their signature honeycomb seating and bright, cheerful colors. If you do sit in one of the honeycomb seats though, note that you won't be able to lean back because the angle is really awkward, but at least you'll look cute and IG-ready! Ordering is simple and food comes out quick: Unagi rice burger: The rice burger patty held together really well and I appreciated the plastic gloves they give you because it will get messy. There was plenty of unagi and it was a pretty classic combination of unagi-avocado. I killed this so fast--definitely recommend if you like "dragon/caterpillar roll" types of food. Purple sweet potato fries: This was actually my favorite thing out of everything we ordered. It was fried to a delicate, light crisp and the purple sweet potato itself was sweet and creamy. I didn't even need the dipping sauce, though that also lends a yummy flavor. Yakitori combo: Everything was flavorful and the sauce they use is savory and rich. The zucchini is a juicy flavor bomb and my personal favorite was the scallop. My friend really liked the chicken and pork belly because it was crispy on the edges, but we both agreed that the beef was dry and too well done. Matcha tiramisu: It's light, creamy, and lends just the right amount of matcha. Careful not to inhale when you take a bite though, or you may choke on some matcha powder! Matcha Cheesecake: This was a pretty tiny slice for what we were expecting, but it was chock full of matcha flavor, which is a tough feat for a cheesecake. We didn't get any drinks, but we kept seeing the cute little robot roll out with a bunch of really yummy looking ones. Been here about 6 times over the past year. I liked this place but my last two visits weren't good. Atmosphere is amazing. Service is great. The price is fair. My first 4 visits were good. It came out with great presentation but after a while 2 small roaches started crawling out of the wood the hot pot was sitting on. I ordered the braised pork belly ramen as well with extra pork belly. They put the extra pork belly on a side dish and it wasn't hot. I'm not the type to make a fuss in a restaurant. I still tipped well because service was good but I will not be returning because I have to be able to trust what I'm eating. Based off my first couple visits I would give 4 stars but after my last two visits I will give two stars. I still hope this place succeeds. The ambiance is spectacular. read more

The inside is cute. It's was empty went on a Friday around noon. Food was awful had no flavor. We added a side of broccoli that had visible bugs in the florets which shows it wasn't cleaned properly. I was born and raised in Tokyo, so I've grown up with ramen and I'm pretty picky about it. There are a lot of trendy ramen spots in Atlanta, but this place really hits the mark for me. Unlike most shops that serve Hakata-style straight noodles, they use the curly noodles I grew up with in Tokyo--and I love that. The broth is solid too. Their weekday lunch specials are such a great deal, I could honestly come every week. I'm so happy to have finally found a ramen shop that truly satisfies. The service was great as well! read more

Super cute ramen place!!! I can totally see this becoming my favorite ramen place in town...parking was a breeze, the interiors are so cute it's cubicles like honeycomb. If you have issues climbing stairs, they have regular seating as well. It's a perfect place for a casual date. Our server was so polite and friendly. Service was quick. I got the shio tonkonsu, popcorn chicken with a side of kimchi. My husband got the spicy tonkonsu. We both loved our ramens and the popcorn chicken wasn't drenched in oil unlike other places. We didn't try the boba teas but they had very interesting flavors; so that's a whole other day experience. They also have a separate boba stand area as well if you want to just grab and go. I really request the management to include oat milk as an alternative to non-dairy creamer for the boba teas, if possible. I will be revisiting with lots of friends real soon!!! Very cool ambiance here. Tried Sapporo Miso, Tonkotsu Shoyu and Tonkotsu Shio Ramen. Came here for the Classic Omurice. Not exactly "classic", since it's not ketchup rice, but tasty regardless. Also very impressive they are able to create this omelette. It's not that easy, I've tried many times. You get a choice of demi glaze sauce or curry. Finally split a Teriyaki Beef Rice Burger with the wife since we were curious. Service was attentive and they have a modern call button in the booth to call for service. A service robot is also available. Of all the things we ordered, we enjoyed the Ramen the most. The Omurice rice and demi glaze itself left a little to be desired for me, but my expectations may have been too high for that one. The egg itself was awesome and presentation is just so cool. I plan to stop in more to try other things and already have some plans to bring some friends from out of town and work here when I get a chance. Overall happy places like this opening in Atlanta and close to me in OTP. read more

I get takeout from here every now and then and it's always super quick. The packaging for the ramen is extra fun because all the components are nicely separated out. The interior of the restaurant looks really unique! read more

I love the omurice and aesthetic: very cool interior. The ramen is also amazing and so are the drinks
