Food/price: - Okonomiyaki ($8.49): savory version of a Japanese pancake made with an egg type batter and filled with veggies like cabbage and topped with bonito flakes. Really enjoyed this, from the texture to the flavors. Would get again! - Popcorn chicken ($8.49): expected more from this. The batter was so-so and I think it was missing a lot of the flavor that makes this good. Would skip - Tonkotsu omurice combo ($23.99): the combo comes with pork tonkotsu (you can get it without for $19.99), your choice of demi glace or curry for the sauce, and a drink (either lemonade or thai thea). I had the lemonade, it was so refreshing and tasty. If you're not a fan of cucumber then don't get it, because it does have a cucumber flavor to it - this drink would be so good as a cocktail too! The pork tonkotsu was thick and I'm not sure if it was the cut of pork they used but it had a really gamey and fatty taste to it that I personally didn't like. Next time I would get the meatless option. The spectacle of the omurice is pretty cool, they cut it open in front of you and pour the sauce on top. A solid three star experience with food quality and price. I must say though for a Thursday evening, this place was packed even though the rain drizzled away. Everyone on staff seemed busy including the robot running around delivering drinks. They also appear to have a gigantic open space in the middle they aren't utilizing. I mean with the hype and newness of this place, they could use the extra table-style seats instead of the ramen bar. Combination B (for two) -- Popcorn chicken: The hubs like to base a spot on their chicken nuggets, and the ones here were meh. I think we all came to the conclusion that it lacked sodium. But it also didn't appear fresh to me -- like multiple day old chicken. Some spots on the chicken were crispy while others were smooth. I guess I'm trying to convey how not uniform the texture of it was -- was it supposed to be crispy or an original style like KFC. Kyushu tonkotsu shio ramen: The ramen was honestly a solid 3 star to me. There weren't much substance to it. The pork chashu pork wasn't really that spectacular. Usually this adds to the heartiness of the ramen, but a bite of this was meh. The bamboo shoots and corn seemed to be the filler. The wakame and half marinated egg were a little different. Japanese cherry blossom jelly: I really liked the color and taste of this dessert. There was a slight sweetness to the jelly. This dessert was refreshing and tasted lighter as it was a gelatin. Though the pink sauce added the final touch in flavor and appearance. Matcha pudding w/ red bean: The pudding had a decent matcha flavoring. The cream/milk added an additional layer of slight flavors and creaminess. --- Classic Japanese omurice combo -- Thai iced tea: Their Thai tea was okay. You can't mess that up too much. Pork tonkatsu: The pork tonkatsu came out separate on its own dish. It was okay; I think it was a tad too dry. And it overall appeared to be a small cutlet portion (I know shrink flation). Omurice: The rice had a nice visual display when it is cut open, but it lacked flavor and that unique something that made this dish appealing. The rice just tasted mushy and lacked flavor and some much needed salt. There was also the tea side to Kyuramen at the front right of the restaurant if you're wanting snacks or a super quick bite. They said something about cooking the broth for 30 something hours (I can't remember the exactly number, please correct me). Husband chose the #2 KYUSHU TONKOTSU SHIO and I chose the #9 CHICKEN RAMEN. We were both pleased by the creaminess and the meat flavor. While we were waiting for our Ramen to arrive, we ordered some FRESH PASSION FRUIT TEA. And I was thrilled to see a cute robot bringing it to me! That reminded me of when I visited South Korea. So cute and fun! The tea was delicious and I love the pieces of fruits in it! Just found my favorite tea spot. I'd seen multiple raving reviews on social media for KyuRamen. But it was a huge disappointment for me. Upon arrival, there was a very long wait time. Mines was 45 mins. Finally my name gets called but the rest of my party was running late. I kindly told the hostess to go ahead and skip us until the rest of my group arrives. At last, 30 mins after my party arrived we were seated. No issues with the wait time because it wasn't their fault. I had a lot of time to look over the menu, they didn't have any kids menu option. I decided to get the Popcorn chicken, chicken ramen, fried Gyoza and Tonkatus Omurice combo with demi glace sauce and amazing lemonade. Our server was very new and kept going back and forth between our table and another worker for help with our order. The popcorn chicken was good, the sauce for the gyozas were delicious. What I Like; Great interior design and theme. The elevated booths are cool. The menu variety is bigger than most ramen places. The food comes is really good portions so you'll be left satisfied. Every thing I've had tasted great so far. There is a hint of Chinese spices in their ramen broth and for some people that's a big taboo but it still tastes good to me. The tea bar on the side is a good option for those who want just drinks. What I Dislike; Service here is hit or miss. The omurice was ..... okay. I honestly didn't get much flavor between the egg and fried rice. The curry sauce was fine but nothing spectacular. Popcorn chicken was decent. The pieces were pretty large though did lack crispiness and some of the seasoning that's usually on Taiwanese popcorn chicken. This place is half hour drive from my home, I wanted to try it with my family for lunch. We waited for 15 minutes to be seated at about 12:45, and no reservation is available. The internal decor is embedded with many traditional Japanese elements, huge lantern at the door, bar seatings at the kitchen, smaller separate rooms, even small items at the tables: USB charging ports, pushing button to call service, they make the place neat and cool. The staff were courteous, we were led to a small room named "Tokyo ". They have 4 rooms with different names. We eventually ordered: Tokyo Tonkotso Shouyu Ramen , Combination B- Kyushu Tonkotsu Shio Ramen, Sapporo Miso Ramen; and Japanese Curry Ramen with Tonkatsu. It turned out that all ramens came with same noodles and meat, eggs, etc, only the soups were different. All the soups were very good, but they were different: soup for Shouyu Ramen is original, it was tasty; and for Shio Ramen the soup came with soy source flavor, so it was more flavorful than previous one, for Miso Ramen the miso flavor is getting more obvious, therefore more flavorful than Shio ramen. Mine is Japanese curry ramen, the soup was thick and not spicy at all, I still prefer Indian curry or Thai curry or Malaysia curry which are more vibrant and bursting with flavor. The Tonkatsu was very crispy, I put on some spicy SHICHIMI TOGARASHI powder to make it taste better. Overall it's good lunch experience, the cost is about $25 per person. read more

Kyuramen finally made its way to ATL (Suwanee)! They have several locations in Cali and some in NY. I've been waiting for this spot to open and it didn't disappoint. The minute you walk in, you will be hit with the "Wow!" effect! The interior design is very pleasing to the eye. Especially the whole back wall with tables! Pretty dope design. This location is super spacious with private rooms available too which is nice for a bit more of an intimate setting for you and your party. The combos are nice too. Ambience was great, lots of neat seating areas as you see in the pictures enclosed honeycomb booths, private tatami type rooms (but you don't sit on the floor). Even though we went at 4pm on a Sunday which I thought would be an "off" time it was very crowded with people standing around waiting made it a little awkward up front. Parking was a little tricky and we had to go over to the next strip mall to find a spot and walk a bit so be prepared! The food was fantastic, all our ramen bowls were yummy and you can add your own extra's or spices. Beware: the 2 chili pepper 'spicy' level was more like 3 my husband said so if you only want a little kick, you probably want to stick with the 1 chili pepper level. There is a level 3 and it's called 'hot'. I'll have to go back and try the boba drinks as I knew if I got one I would not be able to eat my food but the drinks looked delicious and delivered by a robot how cute! They did have beer and sake on the menu as well. I've read where the service was excellent but we must have had an off day because ours was just ok, nothing super but not horrible. This is the soft opening of Kyuramen in Suwannee and all the hype is worth while. The line was long and wait list were long but the interior decoration and delicious food was worth the wait! Staff: the staff were very courteous and friendly considering how busy they were with the many guests waiting to dine in. They were attentive to all our questions and needs. Came here for a big birthday dinner and we all tried different ramen and combos. The wait time was less than 15 minutes for a group of 10. They couldn't take an early reservation but we're aware we were coming so I feel they accommodated us. The interior has a lovely wooden honey comb and bamboo theme to it. It's cohesive and unique. I got the A1 combo which came with a tonkotsu shoyu ramen, bao, and matcha pudding for about $24. I thought the bao was just okay. I got a very small piece of meat compared to my friends so it was a bummer. There is a slightly spicy sauce inside but other than that, I felt it was plain. The ramen was very light and clean. It's not as savory as jinya for comparison. The broth felt milky and creamier than what my typical tonkotsu experiences are like but I enjoyed it. My bf thought his was mediocre so if you like the lighter, less salty broths, you'll probably like this one. The matcha pudding was unique and like a thick custard. The pork bao was amazing - I was genuinely impressed by the quality of the bun & pork. I've been wanting to try omurice for the LONGEST time, and I've gotten several recs about Kyuramen having amazing food, so I had to visit. It's about 30-40 minutes north of downtown Atlanta, but absolutely worth the drive from the city. I got the omurice meal with a lemonade and I've gotta say it was one of my favorite meals in my life. Even though the whole meal was about $26ish, it's definitely a place for the experience. Cute honeycomb booths, aesthetically pleasing glassware, its everything you could ask for! As others have said in their reviews, it's obvious they want to always keep an empty seat in the restaurant to keep the lines moving: you'll feel very welcome to enjoy the food and ambiance but also might feel a bit rushed to get in and out, as it's a popular spot and the servers are trying to seat people asap. Even though no one literally told us to leave or made us feel unwelcome, they turn tables here quick. We were here for only 30 mins with appetizers and everything. They don't really give you any time to wait, relax, talk before they bring food/take it away. I'd definitely recommend the omurice - no one in this area does actual, Japanese omurice. This place does. The eggs are silky, the rice has depth from the mushrooms, and their katsu is the juiciest I've ever had. While it is pricier than what you'd expect to pay for an omurice, I think the quality and portion size makes it reasonable. Ramen was 9/10, comparable to Okiboru. Thai tea is fine, probably wouldn't order it again. Overall, if the waiters would not constantly be running around clearing things, this place would be a 5/5. Ordered the Sapporo style miso ramen and two big shrimp through UberEats. Food arrived fast. Beautifully packaged separately, all of the ingredients were on point. The shrimp were fresh and delicious. The miso broth was piping hot. The pork and veggies were all fresh and perfectly cooked. What a treat for lunch at work. Highly recommended. read more

I originally saw this place on Instagram, so when I found myself in Suwanee, I had to give it a try! It is absolutely as cute and fun as it looked on Instagram! It has cool honeycomb booths, and fun inside lighting and decor. My group was seated in a booth built into the wall with a privacy curtain. I wouldn't have minded being out in the middle of the restaurant so I could enjoy the decor, but I thought it was cool to have our own private booth! There were even call buttons so the waitstaff knew when you were ready. Adding to the fun was the robot that delivered our drinks to our table (the waiter came by to take the drinks off the robot and hand it to us, but still- totally cool!). We went at 2pm on a Saturday, and the service was fast. The food was good, but I wasn't blown away by the flavors or the value for the money. The Tokyo Tonkotsu Shouyu ramen was good, but it could have been slightly more flavorful. The popcorn chicken and gyoza were fine as well. Tasty, but nothing to write home about. I did however really enjoy the Takoyaki Octopus Balls! Would recommend giving these a try. Also, the drinks were especially tasty! I had the milk green tea with boba, but I would love to go back and try some more tea flavors. They even have an area in the front for Tbaar, so you can stop in and grab a drink without staying for a sit-down meal. Overall, this was a cute spot with great service, and even though the food wasn't mind-blowing, it was good, and I'd like to return to try more menu items and get some more good drinks! read more

Finally tried Egg Omurice . We ordered one with the Demi-Glaze and one with Curry Sauce and Seaweed Flakes. They both are served over Chicken Fried Rice and so delicious. There are so many things on the Menu we wanted to try, but this dish is so filling, it makes it hard to consider anything else. The place is well lit and clean with funky Hexagon Booths in the Back, but we opted for a Table. My date also has the Lemonade which I tried and also really liked, tasted natural which was a huge plus. Service was very efficient. It didn't take long at all for our order once placed for the meal to arrive. They cut and dress the Omurice right in front of you, it was actually kind of exciting to watch, since we both have been wanting to try this for a very long time. Finished with Boba Tea delivered by their Kitty Robot, which for some reason I found hilarious. I would say this was a successful Dinner and we both want to come back. read more
