A slab of stone was purchased which Kevin transported and had fabricated. A crew of 3 arrived ON TIME consecutively for 4 days. At first I was skeptical because I only saw 9 reviews on this page, but rest assured, Kevin and Carlos are amazing!! Kevin is very responsive and his team was reliable, on time, and clean. The job only took three days even thought it was expected to be four or five, and it was the most cost efficient estimate out of everyone else I contacted. Also, I was indecisive and told Carlos to use white grout instead of the colored grout I originally bought on the floor and shower floor, and I ended up hating it after I saw it all done. He was so accommodating, he cut it all out and redid it even though it was a lot of extra work due to the mosaic tiles. I am extremely happy with the final product and would 100% recommend Kevin's team and will bring them back when I do our guest bath. read more

BEWARE!!Kevin, the owner, came out and provided a fair quote. He was very nice. However, the price increased midway through the job. Furthermore, the grout cracked in 3 of the bathrooms they installed tile within 2 months after they finished. I called Kevin and asked him to come out and remedy the problem, but he said it would cost more money. I told him that the grout should not have cracked within 2 months and refuse to pay him another dime. Long story short, he puts on a good front but does not guarantee any of his work. We had such a great experience with Kevin for our bathroom tile project that we needed done quickly. Kevin responded almost immediately with some follow up questions and a quote, and was able to start right away. He also assisted with guiding me on quality materials to purchase when I asked for recommendations. Even when we had a plumbing setback and had to wait for a plumber to come out, Kevin happily rescheduled the completion of the project at our request and made it a priority to have Carlos return the next day once the plumber was done. Caused water damage by leaving water valve open, broke the front door Baldwin lock and produced highly uneven colored grout lines. This crew was on site for two consecutive days when no other contractor was. Electronically time tagged photos taken at the end of these two days (and prior to their work) showed no water damage before their arrival and water marks on the wall and water puddle on the floor next to the water valve ON THE SECOND DAY OF THEIR VISIT (see photos). No other crew was on site during these two days and in the subsequent days (the weekend). No one else stepped on these tiles as the crew lead, Kevin, asked not to step on the tiles after they were laid the first day. A person named Samantha who refused to provide her last name and claimed she is the owner of KZ Tile and Stone called to demand stop contacting them and refuse to bear any responsibility. The resulting water damage is extensive: Water from the upstairs kitchen had leaked through plumbing openings to affect downstairs walls and ceiling between the floors as determined by professional damage remediation company. KZ Tile and Stone claimed no responsibility and refused to pay for damages. The bill to repair the water damage has exceeded the cost of the tile installation. KZ Tile and Stone needs to cover (1) the full water damage remediation and restoration including drywalls and mold prevention in the structure, as well as (2) repair of the front door lock they broke. read more
