Mark replied promptly to my request, and was very responsive to my questions regarding the restoration of my tile shower. He requested I text some photos, and I did. Learned my tiles are ceramic, not porcelain. We set up a time for him to see the shower in person. After 13 years of very hard water, accumulating a lot of mildew (and maybe mold?!) my shower desperately needed "a deep cleaning heavy duty wash." I was told this would be a 2-day project, as it needed to thoroughly dry before the grout (matching the original shade!) and (clear) caulking could be done. Then we set a start date. Mark and Carmelo arrived not just on-time, but a bit early. And Carmelo got right to work! Mark texted me photos of their progress, and allowed me to snap a few photos to document the project. Turned out, as just 2 walls were tiled, they could dry it and do the grout and caulking that same day! Total project took just 3.5 hours! They cleaned up everything they'd brought and used, and My Shower Looks Brand New Again!!! We hired Mark to tile our bathroom with 1 inch hex tiles. He insisted that we needed to have a floating concrete floor put in first to ensure flatness. The work was done by one of his employees with too little oversight. The floor was not flat and they tiled right over lumps and bumps in the floor. The tiles were also not on line. We had to have the whole floor ripped out and redone by another tiler. Mark refused to acknowledge the poor quality of the work and would not refund any of the $2000. that we paid for his work, not including the cost of the tile. Well, our small job in May re-grouting marble slabs in a second floor shower to stop water damage on a ceiling below became a much larger job as the leaks continued thanks to deterioration of the shower pan and sub-floor. It required a total re-do of the shower, removing large marble slabs and replacing with marble tiles along with a new sub-floor and pan. Mark and his team were fantastic in uncovering the problem, doing the demo, and creating a beautiful, like-new shower. Not an inexpensive project, but necessary and Mark's pricing was very fair. In 40 years, we've done 5 (yes, 5!) extensive remodels/additions to our home and I can't think of a more professional contractor than Mark and work done any better.
