I love this place. Very cute, bright colors. Staff is super friendly... Food was great. I got foot long chili dog...YUM... Chili was good...hot dog had a "snap" and then chili cheese fries!! Hubby got a new yorker with crout and all the fixins.. Then let me not get started on the fried bologna sandwich... Omg... Childhood memories were flooding my mind... This place was great! My sister works in the same shopping area, so she had a hot dog there and told me how great it was. So we decided to try it out together. Our food tastes great! My sister and I both ordered cheeseburgers, and we shared an order of chili cheese fries. It was so good! We had a great meal and enjoyed eating at this cute little restaurant. Took the kids here last week. Ladies we're nice and the hot dogs were really good. Chicago dog was as close as I've had in awhile. Fries are just a little on the overdone side but I also didn't ask for fries light so I can't be mad at them. Worth another visit. read more

Coy little dog shop that has a groovy beach feel. The place is clean, well decorated and has an ample menu of dogs, burgers, nuggets, fries, onion rings. Beer available. So why the 2 stars? Service, pure and simple. You ever feel like you are a bother in a place? I arrived and they were not busy. 3 people working. I sat at the bar and waited. A family was next to me. The server, who I suspect is the owner, came up and asked "you with them?" I said no and then she just looked at me. I ordered and nothing from her...she just walks away. I get my food and she walks away. Never came back. One worker sat down and started playing on her phone. When I went to check out I got the "you need a receipt? ". That's it the whole time. The food was okay but the dog bun was soggy like it had been in water. Not good. Chili was a bit spicy which was good. Onion rings were very good and the house dipping sauce was nice. They were a 2012 best of in Chesapeake but now I think they are well overshadowed by other dog places. I will try them one more time to be fair. but if if I get soggy buns and cold shoulders I am out! read more

I give it a 2 for the cleanliness and decor, which I liked. The service was dog-slow. I love a Hormel tuff-skin, but they cooked this one to death, to the point that it was tuff through and through, crisp on one end. I like steamed buns but this one was wet on the underneath, soggy. Two women working. I think I caught them at the end of a long Saturday because they made very little eye contact. Only one was slinging dogs. Well, it's a hot dog. Not the greatest but it's better than a roller dog from the gas station. The buns were not soft or fresh. The dog (supposed to be a board head) was dry. I was the first customer of the day and I noticed as I was paying that they had a pile of already cooked dogs in the corner of the grill. I think they served me a leftover from the night before. I won't be back and I wouldn't recommend this establishment to others. Big Als hotdogs isn't far from here and they have never disappointed me. read more

We were looking for something different while driving home from beach. We love this place. Super Friendly atmosphere. Very nice people. Variety of foods on the menu so even the pickiest of people would find something. The food was good. My husband had the tuff skin boars head hot dog. Very good. I had BLT and really good sweet potato fries. The homemade slaw was very good. It tasted very fresh. My favorite part was the dipping sauce. It was so good-I put it on my sandwich and dipped my fries. I actually bought a bottle. The staff was so nice to package it will and gave us ice for our cooler! Great place to eat! read more

I've been here before and the hot dog and onion rings were pretty good. The staff was not friendly but not rude either. The second time we went was a bit disappointing. As soon as we sat down, we were asked if we were ready to order. We stated that we needed time to look at the menu and were told to help ourself to drinks and she would be back. We waited 17 minutes, growing more and more frustrated. The one person waiting tables stopped to chat with another customer several times, check her phone, sneak a peek at the tv, but didn't look our way even once. I went to the counter and asked to pay for our drink so we could leave. We were told "Oh, I never came back for your order." No apology, just a free drink. Seems if you are a local, you're set. Great! place... I went there for lunch , I heard they have really good food, so I tried it, and they were right....Very good food. Great service and atmosphere.. Very clean too.. They have the BEST CHICKEN SALAD in town!...Now I bring my family and friends here and they just love it..,All homemade food and fresh burgers my family loved.. They even sell stuff by the pound...Milkshakes are awesome too or a brownie with ice cream on top...I come here now at least 3 times a week for lunch and my family comes here every Saturday for lunch!
