NEVER use L A Hydro-Jet & Rooter Service or let them in your house for any work/repair. They have damaged my condo as well as my neighbors. They sent an incompetent plumber for a job that was way out of his league to fix and handle; he even said that he normally does not handle situations like this. The job that they needed to do was to fix and move our water shutoff switch along with adding extra pipes. They informed us that they were going to be shutting the water for the whole complex for 4 hours. He explained that this was for it to fully drain... they only let it drain for 1hr and 15 minutes instead of the full 4 hours. They cut out 4 inches of a 5.5 inch post...which I later found out was one of my structural posts. This along with the leftover moisture and water in my condo, made me feel completely unsafe in my own home throughout this process and I felt like I was left not knowing what's next. My neighbor and I reached out to Carl multiple times expressing our joint concern of it not being a safe living condition in both our condos...this is when he informed us someone would be coming out on Monday(several days after we expressed our concern). They flooded my laundry room as well as my neighbors, and now the drywall is soaked. They did not have dehumidifiers brought out until 5 days after the flood! They should have done this on Thursday night or first thing Friday morning. We have been working with the VP of management trust, Carl (who hired L A Hydro-Jet & Rooter Service) and had neglected the situation for 5 days. We begged them to send another plumber to help on Thursday when this occurred but Carl's response was "we will have someone out on Monday." Phil Butler with L A Hydro-Jet & Rooter Service came out on Monday with carl to "take a look" at this issue. Phil kept calling us "Kiddo" and was beyond rude and disrespectful. He belittled our feelings and this issue. He never once apologized about what happened and was constantly interrupting me. I've had to miss 2.5 weeks from work now and have lost out on commissions, because of their incompetence, as well as them ruining my vacuum, steamer mop, and clothing steamer. They also sent out a day laborer to help the plumber from rainforest who was being paid by the hour, hence why they cut into the line so fast. They both told my neighbor and I that the day laborer was not licensed or bonded with Rainforest and should not be stepping foot into anyone's place.. the guy was not even wearing a rainforest uniform, since he does not work for that company. When the plumber started flooding our units, he desperately needed the day laborers help and had him in our units (uninvited inside) to help him. I have video recordings of him in my place as well as carrying stuff out of it too. The day laborer took a bud light from my refrigerator at approximately 5:14pm and drank it in front of me. In return for the beer he helped himself to, he took out my trash that was also soaked from the flood. They stayed for over an hour after he drank that beer. Brian B. - Everything I am about to tell you comes from my own first hand experience working at companies that do work for home warranty companies. First, you should know that being a Home Warranty customer, you are immediately the lowest priority on EVERY SINGLE VENDOR'S list for service. You will literally be scheduled last, behind any service call in between the technician and your house. You are the lowest person on the service priority totem pole and you should understand this fact. The reason for this unfortunate fact is due to the inherent difficulties that come with dealing with home warranty companies. They will authorize anything, literally, anything, only to refuse to pay the vendors once the work is completed. Often times the disputes become so convoluted that the vendor has no choice but to write off whatever amount they are refusing to pay. Second, they lie to you, the homeowner, about what kind of coverage you actually get, and that makes life for the vendor exceedingly difficult as we then have to then explain to you, the homeowner, why you are going to have to pay for something you thought your warranty company would cover. Third, home warranty companies often waste vendors' time by sending vendors to calls but demanding that the vendor "Check & Advise" before doing any actual work. What this means is that they want an estimate before they decide whether or not they want the vendor to do the work. Most of the time the answer is "no." So for someone like you who for some reason has decided to live way the hell out in the middle of Riverside and use a plumbing company headquartered in Sun Valley, this vendor probably isn't in too much of a rush to send his technician to you. Worst case scenario is that you complain enough to your warranty company about how long everything is taking, they call another company, and this vendor is off the hook for your service call. All matters aside, you are and will always be (as long as you have home warranty) the lowest man on the vendor priority list. And in terms of equipment, in the drain cleaning industry there are often two types of technicians: Drain Technicians and Jetting Technicians. Usually, due to how expensive hydro-jetting machines are, companies usually have more Drain Technicians than Hydrojetting Technicians. For this reason, and also if the order does not specify "Requires Hydrojetting" sent to the vendor by your home warranty company, the vendor will often send a Drain Technician to investigate and see if that technician can clear the stoppage himself. Always start basic before going complicated. You would understand that concept if you could put yourself on the business end of the home service industry for even a second......and yet I doubt you'll ever be able to do that. Short story. Although running late, Antonio arrived and cleaned a nasty clogged drain pipe that I thought was going to require a team and my bank account to augur out to the septic tank. He then repaired the kitchen drain P-trap that I had bollixed. This was done at a very very reasonable price. Based on prior experience with rooting companies, I was expecting an inexperienced kid to show up, upsell the service to require two persons to run a cleanout through the roof vent and then another upsell each extra 10 feet, and then another for Saturday after hours. Instead, Antonio arrived in the evening and confidently explained we will not need to use the roof vent. He was very professional. He left the kitchen cleaner than when he arrived. His approach to snake a very deep clog in the main was surgical. The final price was two to four times less than expected not to mention for a Saturday night service call, and there was never any upselling. The scheduling department does their best to keep the customer informed about timelines. When told the window was 2-6 pm I set my expectations low. When they called back at 2 pm to say the technician was running an hour and a half behind, I was smart enough to figure that meant 1-1/2 hours behind the 6 pm time not the 2 pm time. They could easily be more upfront to prospective customers, "Your time line is 2-6 pm, but we usually run behind so it could be 6 pm to 10 pm", "However, we operate 24/7 at no extra cost to you, our technicians (except for the ones that can't find parking or are messy) are critical thinkers, professional, and experienced, plus our rates are really awesome". I will use LA Hydro in the future. read more

All the one-star reviews that you see are correct. I called them to unclog a toilet, they charged me $470 for doing so. I still didn't say a word, but after two weeks, the problem occurred, they wouldn't come fix this unless we would do a new order (and paying again). So, I called another plumber, when we moved the toilet, we noticed that these scam artist hadn't changed the wax ring when they removed the toilet. A wax ring is literally a few bucks and they even charged me for a wax ring on my invoice. So, the toilet overfloat because they lied and they scammed me. And you think after showing them the pictures and proof, they would apologize and try to fix it. Oh no! They are super rude and aggressive, they cut you off (as other reviewers have mentioned), they try to intimidate you and they never accept responsibility. One way to deal with them and it's not writing bad reviews, they have bunch of bad reviews, they don't care......Take them to small court and complain about them on Contractors State License Board. Hopefully we can all do a class-action lawsuit as wall. We need to stop these scam artists from scamming people more and more. read more

I am very happy for the property management by Anthony for our apartment as well as the repair of the drainage system of my bathroom sink today. I watched the whole repair and Corey replaced everything except the faucet of the bathroom sink. He took a lot of photos. He is really experienced and professional based on my observation and fast for his two years working for a plumbing job at LA Hydrojet or maybe other places too (not sure). We found no leaking water so far. It was dark and I held my flashlight to help out and desired to see better for my learning. It is nice if LA Hydrojet or any plumbing company has a lantern for all plumbers. Maybe plumbers are so familiar with what they do and they go by touching and do not need to see well??? Just a thought. I called LA Hydro after they were recommended by my plumber. They were able to come right out the next day. John and Gabriel Texted to introduce themselves and let me know they were on the way, then even called to see if they could come a little early. They were friendly and professional and listened to me describe my problem. We walked the property and made a plan. They jetted out my extra long drain lines and cleared the issue. They ran it several more times to clean things out even better. Very happy with the service they provided and John and Gabriel were sure to make sure the drain was cleared and I was happy with their work. Hired LA Hydro-Jet to clean out our landscape drains. They did an amazing job. John, our technician, was extremely articulate, professional, careful and thorough. Their equipment is excellent. They have a special pressure nozzle that jets forward to break up mud, and has multiple jets backward to wash it out and walk the hose forward. So the hose basically walks the entire main drain system (and they was out tributary drains). Super important to keep these clean with expansive soil. The drains are spotlessly clean - and job was on time and on estimate. Very impressed with these folks. I know they've expanded into Orange County and San Diego. read more

On 1/17/2025, around 11:45 PM, I was driving home when a vehicle with the license plate #55482Y3, representing L.A. Hydro Jet, aggressively cut me off and invading my lane. It's disappointing to see that a worker representing a business would behave this way. The driver's actions seemed driven by an inflated ego, unable to tolerate another car ahead of them. This childish behavior not only creates an unsafe situation but also reflects poorly on the company. When representing a business, it's crucial to act professionally, as one would expect from any adult, rather than acting immaturely. read more

LA Hydrojet saved the day. Gilbert and his crew arrived quickly and found that our issue was not what we originally suspected. They found the issue and shared their plan to fix it. They were quick and efficient and ensured the work area was thoroughly cleaned before wrapping up. Gilbert also shared an issue they found that was caused by a prior service provider. Terrible service, I would highly recommend finding a different company. They will give you a three hour time window (which is large) and then not honor it at all. I was told 9am-12pm and I just found out they won't be to my apartment before 1pm, which I know because I called them to check what was going on not because they called me. I was referred to High Hydro Jet by my homeowners association, but my experience was extremely disappointing. I was left on hold for two hours with no resolution. When I finally managed to speak to Elma, she was dismissive and unwilling to listen to my concerns. The lack of professionalism and customer service was unacceptable. I had an emergency clogging and called up my usual plumbing service. They didn't have anyone available on weekends so I asked my building manager for another service that my building uses, which was Hydrojet. They set up an appointment for 12:30 and the technician, Gabriel, actually showed up 2 hours early and got the work done in 20 minutes! One of your trucks is always parked on 6th st in downtown Long Beach by on of your guy's place. It has the worst, most sensitive car alarm ever known to man. It's been like that for years and has gone off 3 or 4 times only today with no rush to shut in down. It woke up my baby during their nap and at midnight.
