I had just the most bizarre experience here. I came in with my girlfriend on my weekday lunch break. We were greeted then seated in pedicure chairs shortly. We both got started with warm water foot baths and were offered complimentary wine. My girlfriends technician got started right away. Mine came a bit later but diligently started to remove the polish from my left foot. This is the weird part - he then disappeared to the back for an inordinate amount of time. Almost forty minutes! So I was left to sit with my feet in gradually cooler water, one foot still with old polish, and I never got my pedicure! My girlfriend had her service finished and my technician came out from the back to process her payment. It seemed he was watching videos on his phone. I ended up leaving and declining to continue with the pedicure. Not an overtly bad experience, but certainly an odd one! read more

I've been coming here for over 2 years, first it was excellent then it was just ok, and then it was plain and simply horrible, which prompted this review. First we waited for about30 min Without soaking the feet or even being acknowledged. Then they try to up-sell the mani pedi to deluxe or whatever it is.. gel cost me 38 pedicure plus 20 so $58 just for pedicure. Manicure I believe was $40 for gel. Pretty expensive. They might have raised the prices. The guy that was doing my nails was super nice but did not know what the hell he was doing. Didn't remove cuticles, and painted very poorly! After, telling them I didn't like it, he repainted again, but the result was still the same. The owner came up and said someone else will do it, they actually cut my cuticles then and repainted AGAIN. That's only 2 hours in BTW. Gel mani- he started to file down my nails without soaking in foil. I said no filing just foil, he gave me a bunch of acetone to soak all my fingers too! HOW LAZY!! he also gave me an attitude and then switched with some other girl. I heard the best way to remove gel is to wrap individually with foil to save your nail from filing and grinding. So it's like already 3 hours in now and I'm about to pay my bill. They say we give you a discount. I look at the receipt and it says $88. they gave me like $5 off for this horrible experience and job. I questioned the owner and he continued to argue with me that it was more than $5 discount. They night be really bad at math or just rude and stingy. I walked out of there unhappy, pissed instead of the "spa" experience I wanted. So I return home and 2 days later have a nail infection and my nails look like they already are out for like a week. Screw this place. Never coming back here again. Spare yourselves!! Save your money and go somewhere else. These people just want to make a quick buck off you and not care about quality and how they do things. read more

My personal rule - I'll pretty much stay loyal to the same place forever until it's so bad I have to pay someone else to fix it. After several months of loyalty, I've crossed that threshold. I was treated like an inconvenience to them consistently, but kept going back because it was close to work, on the lower end of the price range, and they do good enough work. If I got in early enough, they'd offer me something to drink, and not be too aggressive. All bets are off whenever I went in within an hour of close though - even if I called ahead. So this time I did call ahead, and went in with a fairly simply design request for St Patty's nails. First they told me they closed in 30 mins and wouldn't have time for the design. Then they said they could do it but talked me out of the green nails but could do the stripes and design. But then when they were done with the stripes - which they used a different gold from my other nails because it had a thinner brush, so it looked patchy and awful - they said they couldn't do the design now because they didn't have the green in a thinner brush, just regular polish. I suspected that may be because they closed 8 mins ago, so I said, "well, I came in wanting green and gold nails and I'm leaving with gold and that's not at all what I wanted so can I come in to start over and just get green nails tomorrow?" And she freaked out on me, literally threw stuff down and said "Oh my God!" and then suddenly found green with a thin brush... But they still couldn't do it because, I dunno, 4 green polka dots to create a clover sounds hard? So they charged me $20 and said I can come back tomorrow to have someone else do the design. All leading me to conclude that this behavior was designed to just get me to leave as close to close as possible, up to and including lying to me about their ability to complete the design they said they could do. I'll be going somewhere else that I have confidence can paint a small design and will not treat me like I'm an inconvenience from now on, thank you. Net... Pros: Attractive Interior. My pedi is nothing I'm proud to take a picture of and show. My feet still feel rough and I get a pedi every 2 weeks. My nails are ok but that's as far as I will go. What a disappointment. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I was excited to visit because the salon appeared to be of the same style of salons I have been to in New York. I loved the look of the bench seating. Don't get me wrong, the decor is beautiful, however the customer service was lacking. When I walked in, no one was at the front desk. Okay, not a big deal. There were only 3 nail techs and they were working on clients. A lady came up to the front desk, greeted me, and asked me what I would like. She then asked me to pick a color, and told me it would be about 10 minutes. Again, not a problem. I waited. A girl came up to me and said "okay". Not hello, no smile, no "how are you today" nothing. She took me to the pedicure chair. By the way the photos show the bench seating on both sides, but they have installed black massage chairs on one side of the pedicure area. In addition they have the i-spa chairs upstairs, which is really what I wanted to use, but was not given an option. Not a problem..... So my problem came when the girl lead me to the pedicure chair, and just looked at me as I struggled to find a place to put my handbag. She then stood there watching me as I started to take off my shoes like I was inconveniencing her. At that point I said never mind, put my shoes back on, and walked out. There was no way that I was going to stick around and spend my money after being treated like I was not welcome. I have literally never felt so ignored and uncomfortable, and I have been getting my nails done consistently for years. Anyway, I called Nail Bar in Uptown and made an appointment with them. They were more than happy to have my business, and I got a 10% yelp check in discount for first time customers. They were super professional, and treated me like I was valued. My friend and I were out for a day of shopping and fun. We decided to end our night with pedicures. At first sight we were throughly impressed but it went down hill from there. We were initially impressed because of the cleanliness, selection of colors, offering of wine and even a fountain soda machine! But as you know, a customer service experience can change a first impression fast! My friend and I both paid for a deluxe pedicure. Throughout the pedicure I noticed that my manicurist was being much more thorough, taking his time and giving me my money's worth. Before I know it, my friends is done and I'm just at the callus remover. My friend was confused bc, how could this be?! She then told me that her manicurist never even did the callus remover on her. She politely asked if the lady could complete this essential step, and the lady said "you don't need it." EXCUSE ME? Regardless of what you think I may or may not "need", that was not your call to make and my friend has paid for it. This really frustrates me. She then went on to begrudgingly remove the callouses on her DRY feet, thus causing discomfort and a rough feel when finish. Horrible. Never going back. read more

Loved it! My friend wanted to go after hearing how they serve complimentary alcoholic drinks while getting pedicures. I was excited because the other places that serve free drinks only have cheap wine. Here, I was able to get a couple of yummy mimosas, and my friend got a couple of margaritas on the rocks. It makes the experience much more fun! I also loved how they had long rows of soft cushion seats and backing (like a booth without the table) with pillows to lean back on. It looked just like a place I went to in Miami that I loved. Very modern and comfortable! It's also easier to visit with friends, but the spaces are big enough that you aren't too close to strangers. I was surprised at how reasonable the prices were for the atmosphere and perks. It's just as much as anywhere else in Dallas, but way better! They have big, individual chairs upstairs where you can have a pedicure party or just go solo if you don't want to be downstairs. Free parking across the street from it at the Park Lane shopping center, easy access. I DO NOT recommend, this place was AWFUL. Although it is in a great area, the customer service was unprofessional. Judy was my technician, she seemed nice at first, but as soon as I told her I was unsure out of the two colors I brought to her, she said "this one" as she pointed to one of the colors, I said, well ok, maybe, I'll make up my mind in a bit. She rolled her eyes and started cutting my toenails as if she was racing someone, then proceeded to hurt me several times when cutting my cuticles. Let me preface this review by stating that generally speaking, I do not like getting my nails done. It's just not something I enjoy. I feel like I'm sitting there for too long to end up leaving with a nail shape I don't love and my cuticles bleeding or the start of an ingrown caused by the technician clipping too close or into my skin. Worst pedicure and Manicure i had in my life! staff are ok but obviously they lack any knowledge. Me and my mom did pedicure and both of us have ingrown nails in almost all our toes the next day. The worst part was my dipping powder manicure , it started peeling off as soon as I got home and I was totally shocked . The next day I made another visit and they kept trying to fix them changing the top coat product three times and having the same issue till it finally worked and they blamed it on cold weather ruining their products. I told her I came because they got good Yelp reviews and there was an offer available on the page - she offered to talk with her manager. As expected, her manager came out and downplayed her wrong employee and promised that I'd love my experience. If I'd wanted to come and sit in near silence for just over an hour, then yes - I enjoyed it. My Shellac only lasted a week - but I was too put off by my first experience to go back. Walked in without an appointment and was immediately taken to a table where I just got a regular manicure and Anna took the time to buff my nails,(which never happened anywhere before!) Then I had my eyebrows brought under control by Celcilia, who was sooo professional and *almost painless and she made me BEAUTIFUL with her magic wand! I live in the apartment next door to this salon so just imagine how much I WANTED to love this place. I have had 3 manicures (fills), lash extensions and a polish change on my toes. This salon is in a great location but they just don't have an experience staff. They lack speed and quality that we all need in this busy life. Tony is the best at doing any manicure (fills) so if you go, he is your best bet. It feels as if the techs have been working for only several months but not experienced enough to provide a good quality experience. I made a mistake and got my lashes done here once to "save time" and it literally took 2 hours with multiple interruptions (kids knocking on the door, etc.) I couldn't get a "lash nap" in because she kept dropping the lashes on my face, clicking her utensils together (which were right by my ears) and the smell of the glue was so strong that I promise you my nose hairs were singed. I feared those lashes would never come off, thank God they did. The technician was so excited once she was finished, she literally jumped for joy exclaiming that she did it! I was in pretty dire need of a pedicure..while trying to coordinate my schedule with friends to try a new place it just wasn't panning out. Then, it was like L'acqua read my mind and offered me a free pedicure in an exchange for a review on Yelp. Awesome, right? I agree. There are few things in life that I like more than free. I called to make and appointment for me and fellow Yelper Melissa D. I was running behind and they were pretty nice about it when I called to say we were stuck in traffic and would be late. When we walked in they weren't too busy and they were ready for us. The interior is almost all white with large leather bound benches lining both walls with the pedicure tubs below. The seating was slightly uncomfortable, when I put one of the feather shedding pillow behind my back I felt I was too close to the tub. The water was slightly cool, they didn't ask about temperature until it was filled up and my feet were in so I didn't bother with it...partly my fault for not speaking up. The pedicure I got was the mademoiselle, regularly $35, and neither their cheapest nor priciest pedicure. The pedicure was awesome. I have new, higher standards for a foot massage thanks to the gentleman who was pedicuring (I make up words. Ha.) me. It was awesome. I am still thinking about it. Some additional perks, they offer drinks. You can schedule appointments online. They have promotions online...not sure if they are always the same but right now for $35 you can get both a manicure and a pedicure (M - W). The largest reason I hadn't had a pedicure in while is because I got a mani/pedi and it set me back over $100. Ok..... I am woman hear me roar. I'm a business owner, I pay for myself on dates....I'm a strong...blah, blah, blah. BUT DAMNIT! I like to get pampered! My fingers were still wet, and they watched as I fumbled with my wallet to pull out cash.....and then, I was expecting them to show me to a dryer, but then all I hear was "Thanks, have a great day." Uhhhhh....so,I slowly turned around and went to my car. Of course, by the time I had walked the 30 second walk to my car, I had already smudged 2 nails. *sad* So, the second time I went in.....I was like...ok....I'm going to make sure that this was just a fluke. I got the same woman. (She is really sweet, and nice and attentive. No rudeness, no attitude...so very pleasant!) This time, I only asked for the manicure a step up from the basic one. I sat and watched as the other two got some really amazing leg massages.....and I got a gingerly pat up and down my legs. haha...don't get me wrong....but ..... seriously? This isn't a "cheap" pedi place.....if you pay a higher price point....could I get a little love? *sigh* And sure enough I was quickly rushed out of my seat the second after the pedi was finished and under a heat desk. But by the time I sat down, my big toe had smudged. *double sigh* This time I said something...and good thing there was zero wait....because it got fixed promptly. The nail tech (Tina) was kind and very meticulous, she did an awesome job cleaning up my nails and they look great. The color selection was abundant. I Was UNDER impressed with the millions of nats/fruit flys everywhere! It was quite annoying trying to enjoy myself with a nat flying in my face or sticking to my arm. Gross in fact. I went to L'acqua with my friend and fellow Yelper Jen B. I get a pedi about once a quarter and in between attempt to maintain (it doesn't always work out so well). The spa is located in the Shops at Park Lane, near Grimaldi's and Gordon Biersch. There is ample parking in the garages and the large lot in front of the spa itself. I liked the overall look and feel of the spa. The interior is stark white with blue accents here and there. The polish was organized by brand and then by color! I found this helpful, even though it always takes me quite a while to figure out which color I want. The selection was awesome! I got the Mademoiselle pedicure. The pedicure was wonderful and the nail tech was very nice and polite. The seating for the pedicures is somewhat nontraditional. There are two long benches lining the walls with individual tubs/stations below, something a little different than the traditional massage chairs that I'm used to. I am very pleased with my experience at L'acqua Spa Lounge and will likely be returning in the future! read more
