I'm very disappointed with my experience at this body shop in Simi Valley…read more My car was there for about a month for repairs. The actual repair work came out okay, but when I got my car back, the rubber molding around my sunroof was damaged and hanging down. I rarely, if ever, use my sunroof, and this was not an issue before I brought the car in. When I brought it to their attention, they denied causing the damage but offered to order the replacement molding for me. I agreed and paid for the part. When the part came in, I discovered it was the wrong color -- gray/white instead of black, which is what my car has. I returned the incorrect part and was told they would see if it could be returned and that I could get my money back. Now they are telling me they will not refund me and that I'm stuck with the wrong part and need to come pick it up. This entire situation has been incredibly frustrating. Every time I went in, I dealt with Rick, and I constantly felt like I was bothering him or wasting his time just by asking reasonable questions about my own vehicle and the issues I was having. Customers should not be made to feel that way, especially after leaving their car with a business for a month and spending money on repairs. At this point, I'm less upset about the part itself than I am about how poorly this situation has been handled. Good customer service means taking responsibility, communicating clearly, and working with the customer to resolve a problem. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience here. Just wanted to update you I did cancel the $78 on my credit card ridiculous that they want me to pay for the wrong part that they ordered. The owner Dino called me up he left a message saying that he's going to put me to collections and this will go on my permanent record. I got to say Dino it's got to be a huge loser to try to get collections for $78 I don't need any of your business anymore.

Check engine light came on my daily driven truck, he ran diagnostics told me what it was and advised me that my truck wouldn't pass smog that way but wouldn't effect overall performance and wouldn't waste more gas was just a matter of not passing smog. Said ultimately was my choice to fix it now or when the time came to renew registration and a smog was required. Drove it for about a year with the light zero problems and took it to him when I had more cash and the tags were up for renewal. This guy is legit! Prices are not cheap for the work he does but he does have the overhead of a shop so it's understandable. Plus you leave with peace of mind with warranty on all the work he does. You get what you pay for and Painter Transmission is worth every penny and dollar Felipe quotes you. Thank you Felipe!

I've never had any issues with any of my classic cars he's worked on and believe me he knows classic cars very well. In Feb 2024 my Chevy Silverado blew the rear differential and I took it to Felipe. He recommended that since I needed to replace the 373 differential I should put in a 456 instead. It cost me a couple $$ more but boy am I glad I listened to him. My 2008 Chevy never towed or ran more efficiently and on less gas then it does now. To those 2 haters that left a bad review was probably cuz they didn't listen to his recommendations that he told them. I know this man he's honest a great family man a good religious man and is very meticulous of his work and ethics and is always appreciative of you bringing your car or truck to him. Thank you Felipe for always being there for me and helping the general public in driving away in their vehicles feeling safe and secure and always lives up to his warranties and promises. God bless you Felipe. Eddie B.
