On balance this is an "okay" establishment although we have had a few issues with new buttons torn off and now missing shirts. It has gotten to the point where we are actively looking for another cleaners. You may have better luck and the employees certainly seem nice enough and well intentioned. It's just unfortunate that I can't find an "excellent" cleaners in the St. John's area. Oh what I would PAY to find someone that could do an excellent job. Much to my dismay, this place was a total nightmare. The quality of their work was stunningly awful and the lady's attitude when questioned about the finished work was surprisingly rude and dismissive. It is not an embellishment to declare that our clothes were more wearable BEFORE we brought them in to this location. A total waste of hard-earned money. I love this location for its convenience! Prices are reasonable. Location is clean and in a great area of fruit cove. I have never asked for anything extraordinary to be done to my orders. However, the past two times I've left some considerably pricey pieces of clothing in their care. The first was a wedding dress that I needed cleaned --- not even heirloomed! The second time was 12 pieces of formal wear. Both times upon pick-up they couldn't find a piece of my order. The main problem with that is that the clothing never leaves their location! It took nearly 20 mins to find the wedding dress. The second incident took nearly a month to find the matching pants to my husband's suit. They had been sent home with someone else's order. Not only did the pants get sent home with the wrong customer... the cleaners didn't want to accept responsibility for their mistake. I was literally told 'It cant be my fault. There's just a lot going on right now.' Thank God for the customer who brought them back or the employee who actually took the time to look for them when my husband told them they'd need to replace the suit if the pants weren't found! Mistakes happen... it's best to own up to them! read more

I had my son's suit dry cleaned here. At least, I thought that's what I paid for. He had his 8th grade dance tonight and I was dumbfounded when I pulled his suit out. It had white stuff caked on the sleeves and a lot of fuss! His suit is all black. I was running around like crazy and am super upset! I left his suit on the hanger and did not pull the plastic off to make sure nothing got on it. I'm now mad I didn't check. I would've taken it somewhere else to be cleaned- properly I will never go back. I am not one that leaves bad reviews but this was uncalled for. read more

Since we moved to St. John's I haven't been able to find a local dry cleaner that would meet my needs with the same quality and friendliness of Handicraft Dry Cleaners on Old St. Augustine. I should have known something wasn't right when I dropped off my clothes and was only given a slip and told to pick up my clothes on Monday; no inventory was taken of my clothing, no price. My wife reminded me a few days later I needed to pick up my clothes. We pull up to the drive through and the man gave us a price. We both looked at each other when we thought he said $15. I said, well I may have found a new dry cleaners. I mean where can you two dresses, and three pairs of pants dry cleaned for $15 except for Zips (they really need to franchise in Florida). We paid, the man put the clothes in the back and we pulled away. It wasn't until Erica looked at the $50 receipt did we clutch our pearls. $50 -- these clothes better be brand new. I will not venture to this place again. When you find a place that meets your needs stay with them. I'll just continue to dry to mandarin for my dry cleaning needs. read more

My husband took a bunch of sheets and towels to this dump to try and help out getting caught up with laundry, thanks Babe. Now I'm ironing crap I've never ironed before (sheets and pillow cases) because their lazy-a$$ idea of "folding" is to ball crap up then roll it like a burrito before shoving it into the bag. If that's how they fold, I kinda wonder if my stuff is even clean, like clean clean not L& L clean. Details10/04/2018 This cleaners ruined an expensive boutique dress. The manager wouldn't do anything to help me when i came back in upset. He said it wasn't his fault the dress looks bleached now. It was a pretty pink color as the trim indicates in the picture below. Now it's brown! I am so disappointed at the severe lack of customer service or trying to make it right. I will never return here and i will tell everyone I know not to go here. read more

I never thought to look for reviews before taking my clothes to this cleaner. They ruined hundreds of dollars of my clothes! When I got the clothes back, there were what looked like finger prints with pizza stains on my pants that weren't there when I dropped them off. The clothes they ruined were irreplaceable and I am now taking them to court. I don't want this to happen to someone else! read more

My favorite AX T-Shirt had a seemingly set stain that I took to different cleaners,hoping they get it removed but i got disappointed every time! My friend ,Joe,suggested I take it to Mr Philip Dry Cleaners in Julington Creek.I thought I didn't have anything to lose by trying one more time so I dropped it off on my way to work.Three days later,I went to pick up my clothes,and lo and behold,the stain was gone.I was amazed and upon further inquiry I found out the owner,Mr Philip,is a credentialed chemist and member of the American Chemists Society.I would definitely recommend these cleaners to any one looking for an excellent job done on their clothes. read more
