The worst loco moco of my lifetime! Two of the 5 dinners ordered were a really bad imitation of loco moco. Tasteless unseasoned gravy, hamburger so thin overcooked and dry it was impossible to cut into; the egg was so overcooked it was more rubbery than a week old hard-booked egg, so also inedible. I stopped in to grab a quick lunch. I was craving chicken Katsu L&L Hawaiian barbecue is a franchise so I expected the food to be consistent with other L and L Hawaiian barbecue restaurants. The service was excellent, I'd ask for the chicken Katsu bowl and as my wife always suggest order the sauce on the side, but this time I did not the teriyaki sauce is spicy so if you care for spicy sauce, then great, if not then order it on the side I believe the spiciness comes from ginger, of course I'll let other yelp reviewers chime in. we went to grab dinner today, my boyfriend and i ordered a big plate and a mini plate plus 2 spam musubi which we paid almost $40 for. when leaving we asked for sriracha sauce which we received some kind of attitude for asking for it , when we arrived home exactly 3 packets of the sauce was provided. no sauce for the spam and no sauce for our other food was given. food is great but i feel for the amount of food we are buying plus the attitude given when asking for the sauce as if it were an inconvenience is what kills it, we simply shouldn't have to ask for the sauce it should be something we should be receiving or even offered with our food to start with before leaving the restaurant. it's never about the amount spent but more of the service given. read more

Came here on a Monday night around 8:20pm to pick up spam musubis for a work potluck. There was a couple eating at one of the tables on the side. Nobody else was inside except the workers. Took only a few minutes to get my order of 15 spam musubis. Had no problems. I've been here in the past and never had any issues with my food. I would recommend. Where should i start so we ordered three different meals online so you would figure that it being an online order it should be self explanatory of what the order consists of so there should be no mistakes whatsoever but not in this case not only did they get my order wrong i wanted a regular loco moco i asked for double mac salad and single rice for my side but i got the complete opposite plus it was cold like it had been sitting for awhile and to top it off that was all we received they told our delivery driver that the loco moco was the only order we placed because they could not do their job correctly they refunded us 20 bucks but thats not the point they should of got it right in the first place and pay more attention to peoples orders and the details of their orders im disappointed that they f:cked up our order and that i could enjoy dinner together with my wife read more

I was starving and I mentioned that to the bank teller. He suggested this place. I went straight there. It's clean, the service was ok and the fried fish was super crunchy. I was excited. Unfortunately, nothing had any seasoning. And the macaroni salad was terrible. No seasoning, I didn't even taste the mayonnaise. There were four other people in the restaurant and they seemed happy. My go to Hawaiian BBQ spot! L&L, regardless of the location, typically has consistent food quality at a reasonable price. I usually have a mini chicken katsu plate which is so much food for one person, it usually ends up becoming two meals for me. Even though orders are to go, the chicken remains crispy--which I think is hard to find at other places. Their katsu sauce is a great compliment to the chicken and I think it has the best flavor compared to other Hawaiian bbq spots. Also, their rice and mac salad are also pretty good. read more

Wow, I can't believe it. They tried to charge me for three soy sauce packets. With my meal that I purchased.

Been years since I've been back... actually 9 years to be exact. Seems like the original owners are still here but unfortunately the food is so not so appetizing. They raised the prices a few bucks which is understandable, but the quality of the meat, the tastes and freshness has gone down hill. They used to give you ALOT of food. One plate can last you 2 meals or more. Now, that had gone down too. We ordered 3 combo plates, Katsu chicken with the meat very dry and bland, the batter so hard, it hurts to chew it. Their curry sauce used to be so delicious but come on, now it's not even edible. (Look at my attached picture). Look like a blab of threw up and tastes like bland disgusting baby food. The Kalbi short ribs used to be my favorite. Now it's over marinated, and thin and i question their freshness of the meat quality. Sorry, what a disappointment! The food could be 2 stars.
