We were there when she passed and she did not have ANY damage to her face. NONE. ZERO! These people do not care about your loved ones and I would never recommend them. The least these folks could do after taking so much money for a funeral is to leave your loved ones looking dignified. They DID NOT accomplish that. I also found it extremely distasteful for them to have an employee promoting their funeral home while the coroner was still trying to put her body in their van. Classless.

They called me the very next morning to say they had to get someone to sign the death certificate, then probably the next week I'd have to come in and go over it. AND did I know what I wanted to do? It hadn't even been 24 hours yet, I hadn't slept the night before and his concern was what did I want to do? I told him I was thinking cremation but would not be making any decisions until I had a chance to talk to my adult children. He interrupted with "You have to have permission. " I said "What?" "You have to have permission to cremate" He then said he'd get back to me. I called a week later asking about whether he had gotten the death certificate signed. No, he said. He was still waiting. It then occurred to me he didn't have the information he'd need to put on there,and how would a doctor sign it without it being filled out? He asked again about what we wanted to do. I told him cremation. Again, "You have to have permission " Finally, I decided to call Holycross funeral home. I left a message and almost immediately got a call back. Yesterday I went in. He had already made the call to Lipp and Sullivan to take possession of my husband's body. He had all the paperwork ready for me to sign, and amazing many of my questions before I could ask. He was very irritated at Lipp and Sullivan for the way they made my family and I wait without any action at all. Losing my husband was difficult enough, and Lipp and Sullivan made it even more difficult . (NOTE: You do not need permissions to have your husband cremated) I Got the distinct impression that 1) He wanted to sell me a casket. 2) That he was old school and thought women should just go along and be meek. I'm not that way. I push back when I feel I'm right or someone is being taken advice of. I DEFINITELY would stay far away from them. It's hard enough to lose a loved one .Then to have a funeral during who shows no initiative, and no respect for you or your wishes makes it more difficult .

She passed away last Friday and just before passing asked only for a burial service. We asked if we could get extra flowers in place of some of the services she had originally planned. We requested Thumbies of my father, and I trusted that he would put it in the order. We've never done this before, we expected to have our hands held and absolutely babied throught the process because we are grieving. We are sad, angry, frustrated, and tired with just the fact my dad is dead, but to have THE Robert Bracewell tell my mom that the file for his thumbprint was corrupt and couldn't get the Thumbie for another couple weeks is downright abhorrent. It was the director first, but to have the owner double down on a blatant lie was too much. It was never on the receipt. The director did not put it on the order list, did not double or triple check DESPITE HEARING ALL THREE OF US SAY WE WANTED IT. I watched him write it down. Then he comes in with a fucking portable card reader and STANDS in front of my mom with it in her face, and said "your total will be XXX.XX today." That was my last lifeline to feel like my dad wasn't completely gone and I was lied to. Lies, liars, and cut corners. You should be fucking ashamed of yourselves for how you run this business. You will never EVER touch one of my family members again.
