Went here for my first time and she did my nails, they were super then and it was for tips and charges me $70 and a tip. Nope never again

This place is hit or miss. Of the 5 times I've been, I've had 3.5 misses. The last visit told me all that I needed to know! The owner did my nails and complained, initially, that her employee jacked up my nails. I didn't agree and in fact was pleased with the French manner and construction of my nails. However, speaking her first tongue, she informed her husband that she wanted to give me a full new set. I was fine with that until she proceeded to painfully rip the tips and acrylic from my fingers! Ugh!!! After telling her to stop, the result were these weird platypus shaped nails that were SUBSTANTIALLY subpar in comparison to the staff person that she had bashed! When the owner stops caring, find another salon! They seem to cater to the unhinged clientele who speak freely of child abuse and plastic surgery. Heard it with my own ears. Those ladies' nails were perfection. But the final straw for me was hearing the owner say openly that he'll repair nails all day but will get away with whatever he's capable of getting away with. Hope the feds aren't listing in to conversation as such. S/N: He did my nails before. Placed the tips at the very edge of my natural nail that they popped off like press ons within a WEEK! I had to go to another salon to get tips properly applied. Brown people service brown people like crap in this salon. read more

I have been getting pedicures with "R" for several months now and am very pleased with the results and the careful and professional manner. I would recommend this place highly with one warning. There is another worker in the salon who cannot seem to utter a sentence that isn't peppered with foul language. It is good natured and humorous, however, if you have a low tolerance for that kind of talk, you should probably go elsewhere. For myself, I will continue to be their customer. read more

No frills (family owned?) nail salon. Walking in for services on a Friday afternoon, they were busy but accommodated me with a half an hour wait, and offered that I could chill in their massage chairs for the pedis, cool. They know their locals and seem to have an amicable relationship, with candor. You can make your appointments by phone or walk-in. I paid $140 for mani/pedi, which I thought was a little high but upon googling I suppose it depends on the area you're getting your nails done...the younger man speaks English, but the others do not so when asking a question like if she was doing a dip nail for me or simply having dialogue, I wasn't able to communicate with my nail tech. They didn't have any music playing but eventually played a movie on the TV...seems to be a simple known place where the locals (& those on vacation) may go to get a solid mani/pedi. Worst manicure I have ever had! My nails actually hurt me by the time they were done. They never used nail polish remover. They just ground all the nail polish and part of my nails off. When I commented that I was afraid they were hurting my nails, they ignored me. They also charged me $60 for the manicure. I know anyone can have a bad day but she didnt need to take it out on me. read more

I'm not the type of girl to go to a nail salon often, but sometimes I like to get a pedicure and relax while I take care of my feet. There are so many places that I would not suggest but this place is somewhere that I have always enjoyed. I've been in the verde valley for most of my life and I've concluded that this salon will be the only salon I allow myself to visit. The family that runs this salon is always so nice and personable. They are quite accommodating and will always treat you like a human instead of just a customer. Not to mention they always have great quality production and I am never disappointed in my nails when they are done. They aren't afraid to tell you their opinion when it comes to crazy requests so you will always be happy with the result and you will always leave feeling relaxed and beautiful. My six year old wanted to get her feet done for the first time, so we decided to try this nail salon out and it did not disappoint! The nail tech who worked with her was funny and did an incredible job. I got a mani and pedi and loved my experience as well. Great pricing and great staff! Plus more nail colors to choose from than I've ever seen (and I've gone to a lot of nail salons). I will no longer go anywhere else except this salon with my daughter or when I need a spa day! Great experience. No bells and a simple place but solid nail performance. They got me in and out for a dip mani and pedi super fast, which I appreciated. I travel fulltime and go to a different nail salon every 3 weeks or so. This mani/pedi ranks toward the top. I even had a nail chip a few days later (my fault) and the owner gave me a fixer on the fly. I'd recommend. read more

I took my daughter to get a manicure. It was a terrible experience. 1. The interior of the business is filthy. I watched a nail tech reuse a nail bowl without sanitizing it. 2. My daughter has polish on her skin. When I asked them to remove it, the tech became aggravated. 3. The male employee was loudly swearing. Incredibly unprofessional. 4. My nails, honestly, looked like a child had painted them. The polish was uneven and sloppy. Take your business to another establishment. read more

Can you do 0 stars? I got my nails done and they were great. I managed to break 2...my own fault. I called. I got an appointment on 3 days, nope 4, 6. The discussion was they did not want to fill him so full it affected walk-in. I rearranged my work day. I went in at the right time and I could tell he had just started someone. He told the owner he should not have started her when I was coming in. The owner kept coming to look at my nails. She told the lady she could not come in without an appointment any more. She asked me to come back another time. No I will never be back. The shop is filthy, the owner is brusque and her husband flirts with everyone. He has the filthiest mouth I have ever heard. Not to be confused with a different salon close by called N & N nail salon This nail boutique (located in the Food City shopping center) is a sketchy place I have my doubts as to the authenticity of any licensing of the gal who did my mani pedi My nails are incredibly painful two days after the service and the polish has chipped off mostly I now have peeling hangnails on all my fingers and painful redness and irritation Everything else seemed copacetic but the discomfort and unprecedented outcome tells the tale I would avoid this place as my over all sense is they cut corners with product and the skills are lacking As I said I before , sketchy and some there are possibly not licensed. Never been here before and didn't have an appt but was able to walk in and got into a cchair right away. Probably sat while the chaair massaged me for about 20 min before the guy started on my pedicure. He did an ok job! Wish he would've massaged my feet for longer, felt kind of jyped on that. I had almost given up on finding a good salon for gel nails in Cottonwood when someone referred me here. Clean and pleasant (someone incorrectly tagged them in a few photos - their walls are not even blue), they have loads of colors to select from. Most importantly, the manicures LAST. My first gel manicure lasted three weeks, and my current one looks sharp going into week two. My previous manicures from other Cottonwood salons were lucky to last even one! They're ok if you're just doing a solid color (but results can be a little lumpy when they are busy which they usually are but I'm not super picky). The one guy who works there can put on transfers nice but no one else can apply them evenly. Salon could use some updating, kind of messy and blah decorations. One customer had no mask on and no one said anything to her but I was told I had to wear one. The main woman who works there held the box and I tried to pull one out but a few extra came flying out and she gave me the dirtiest look. It was an accident but she was so rude. Decided then to no longer give them my money. I've paid $80 each time we've come in so a few cents for their silly masks is not a big deal. I had an appointment today at 5 p.m. I arrived about 10 minutes early and checked in. The place was packed. No social distancing whatsoever. Are young women walk in at 5 and told them she had an appointment between 5 and 5:30. We were both there for a complete set of nails. I had been waiting quite a while when they called the other young lady to have her nails done when she had arrived after myself and her appointment was after mine. Also there were three women in the front of the store, being that they were packed out, that were not wearing masks or not wearing them incorrectly with half of their lower face being exposed including their nose and mouth. This place was ok when the older lady did my nails and cut my cuticles it hurt very bad. They were not very sanitary and was messy in their, the lady next to me would stop with her client to check her phone. Then I got my nails painted and the guy was nice but he had to keep cutting my cuticles because the lady didn't get all them. He accidentally put the wrong color on then noticed and said "I don't want to take it off so I'm just gonna put it over the other color", that made me a little upset and now it's spotty. I was forced to give this place one star in order to leave a review. I had a prepaid gift of a manicure. First, Leo scheduled me for an appointment during a time the shop is closed. I arrived, which was a total waste of my time. Then I called and left two messages asking for someone to please call me back... No one did. I had to call a third time to see what the problem was, when he says "oh, you can come in now if you want" I told him that I'd be in to be reimbursed, I was uninterested in getting my nails done by him at this point. I got to the shop... still no apology or any attempt at all to make it right, didn't even get out of the chair he was sitting in. I'm giving one star because of my recent experience. I live in Sedona and have been going to the same girl for over a year now since I just recently moved to the area, but it is hard to get in when you're needing something very soon. I work in cottonwood so I decided to give this place a try. All my co workers go here and swear by a guy sunny there. Which I have had him and he is amazing at what he does! So this review is not for him or for any other workers there other than the owner Nancy. So please if you go, see anyone else but her. I have been getting my nails done for years and I have never had a service put me into tears. My appointment was at 1:45 and I had to be at work at 3. I thought that would be enough time to get dip on my nails since I've given myself that amount of time in the past. Well it was around 2:10 and the girl that put foil on my fingers started doing a pedicure. So I was kind of confused on what was happening. I mentioned to the guy next to me I just needed to be out of there by 2:50 due to work. So I'm not sure if that's what pissed off the owner but I moved chairs and she began taking off my dip. Mind you, I smashed my finger cleaning the day before and was in a lot pain. I wasn't sure if it was the dip that lifted or if my actual nail was cracked. Turned out my actual nail was cracked in the middle. No wonder I was in so much pain. I let her know and the first time she pressed on it I pulled away and told her it hurt. She proceeded to roll her eyes and act like I was inconveniencing her. She did this about 4 more times. Filing hard or just being aggressive. I told her it wasn't my fault I was in pain and she was making me feel like it's my fault. I then didn't like the color since it was so light. She obviously did not like that either. I then just started crying. I felt like no matter what was happening I was not able to control it anymore. I couldn't leave or wait to get them re done if I wanted since I was now late to work. I have never felt more embarrassed and a lack of compassion in a service in my life. It was horrible to where I cried so hard on the phone once I left. Not ok... and obviously hate everything about the way my nails look. :( read more

They people there are all very kind and sweet. I gave them one star because they used the same nail file on me as they did the lady next to me. I have never had that happen and was absolutely grossed out. I should have said something at the time but I wasn't sure ho much English the gentlemen spoke. read more

I will not be back to this nail salon! The bowl my hands soaked in for my manicure was visibly dirty inside and out, the lady doing my manicure (I believe was the owner) rudely snapped and corrected her only non Asian employee in front of all the customers...very unprofessional. The girl was only trying to help speak for a customer. Then the kicker was a woman behind me talking loudly on her cell phone. I know that wasn't the owners fault, but she could have been asked to lower her voice or take it outside. Getting a manicure or pedicure is a big treat for me and I look forward to it...not this time. I couldn't get out of there fast enough! read more
