Our garage started leaking last Nov. 2021, sent an email to L&N Roofing using their own web site Nov. 10th, 2021 (roof was installed in June 2014) no response. Snow was coming so we covered it with a tarp, leak didn't stop. Come to find out the leak was coming from the house going under the ice and water shield to the garage and had been for a long time. The plywood started leaking water onto the ceiling of the garage coming through the sheet rock. Email L&N Roofing again on their web site in Feb. 2022 now that the snow was gone, no response. My garage in leaking so repairs were started in March 2022. I email L&N Roofing again on their web site and said I would be sending them the bill, boom they called me within 15 minutes and told me they never received my emails. Glad I took a screenshot of their web site with the email. Eleven sheets of plywood had to be replace on the roof because of poor roof job, there step through holes that were papered over from 2014. One of them I caught them doing personally when I came home from work, I should have stop the job and went over the entire roof myself and checked the plywood before they started covering the roof. You would think with a 5 star company the job would be done right, but it wasn't. Now their playing the silent treatment. SHAME, SHAME on L&N Roofing, their families must be very proud of them. 5-15-22 another 8 days and nothing but excuses. Loran should be an author of the book of excuses. This is only the short story because there wouldn't be enough room. Well finally L&N Roofing came through with payment after 7 months (5-25-22) of correspondence, I'm glad it's over. read more

I called this business trying to get a quote for a leaky roof. The mailbox was full so I was unable to leave a voicemail. I received a call back later and a very rude man answered asking why I was calling him. I tried to asked him to hold on as I was currently preoccupied and explain I wanted a quote but he continued to be bothered by my attempts. Not exactly a great way to run a business read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. I'm dead serious. Run away. We hired Loren after a home visit. We fell for the "sweet old man act" and I regret it every single day. The install itself was done in 3 days. The crew was a friendly group of guys; no real complaints about them. A month or so later, we noticed that one particular section of the roof has been leaking behind the gutters (brand-new gutters). This became even more noticeable as the weather grew colder and we could see icicles form between the gutter and the roof. Loren's crews came out to "fix" the issue. Not only was the issue not fixed, but my husband found over 100 nails in our brand new gutters and the crew left behind a nail gun. The install took place in August 2018. My husband has called Loren probably 20+ times and not only did Loren return only a few of those calls, he'd come by our house during the weekdays (while we're at work) and leave his card on the door. No phone calls, no texts, no emails - just a business card. Also, this is one of my biggest complaints about Loren, he uses his wife's illness as an excuse for this horrible customer service. In every phone call, he mentions her doctors appointments or how sick she's been. It's abhorrent that he's using his wife as an excuse for not fulfilling the contractual obligation to complete a roofing job. The roof still leaks. Loren is still dodging us. At this point, we may need to turn to legal support - it's that bad. DO NOT HIRE. read more

After reviewing bids from a number of companies I hired this company to re-roof our 2200 sq ft ranch style house and matching 800 sq ft. out building. The whole process from initial presentation to final cleanup could not have gone better. The price was very reasonable. The crew was friendly, respectful, and careful of our property and plantings. They answered all my questions, arrived on the job promptly each day and cleaned up each day before leaving. We would hire them again without hesitation and highly recommend them. read more

Total nightmare. The biggest mistake I've made in hiring a contractor. Here are the facts: 1. The crew cut into our roof's structural members. We had to consult an engineer and then the company had to come back to make the needed repair. 2. They installed the roof vents incorrectly. They came back to re-install them according to the manufacturer's specs. 3. Two weeks ago the shingles on the re-installed vents came loose and I had to hire a repair company to fix the shoddy work. 4. An enormous amount of my time has been wasted dealing with the fallout from hiring L&N Roofing. Not to mention the stress. 5. The installation took twice as much time as originally quoted, not including the repairs. 6. I was fooled by how well Loren presents himself. read more

If you like comedy, you may enjoy L & N Roofing! Watching them "work" is like watching a swarm of wannabe Three Stooges on a roof; they seem to have a license somehow and make enough noise for an army of people! Unfortunately the L&N Army has little apparent training. It's literally like watching a swarm of confused ants! Make certain your pets are locked up because their drivers are all over the road and sidewalks. The best part is that they are so unorganized that your job will just keep going on and on and on! Your neighbors will love them to as they start illegally early in the morning with yelling and screaming, banging and slamming yet with all the noise and large amount of people, so very little is accomplished! Perhaps it doesn't help that they forgot to order materials and the roof just sits there for a day or so... I guess you get what you pay for! After reading some bad reviews on this site I went to where Phil and the crew were working and checked them out. I felt comfortable hiring them and I'm glad I did. We live in a very quiet neighborhood in West Linn and these guys come by early in the morning and start yelling at each other right outside our house. Slamming their trailer and supply's around. No one around is having their roof done. After 20 minutes of talking like they're at a downtown job site as loud as possible. Waking my entire family, and surely the neighborhood, they leave their trailer hop in their van and drive off. They've only come to our street to park their trailer and leave it. Unprofessional and inconsiderate. Don't go into people's neighborhoods and act like idiots. After hearing them I wouldn't let these guys do my roof for free. read more

The guys were here every day first thing in the morning and hard at work. They were all super nice and greeted us every time we passed them. They moved all of our stuff away from the house and trimmed branches that were too close. Every day the whole pace was cleaned up and there wasn't any sign they had been there when they were done (except for a great looking roof). I highly recommend them! read more

Loren gave me a very reasonable quote and the job was done quickly and looks great. I haven't had a problem at all. They had to replace a few sheets of plywood, and he didn't overcharge for that material and labor. His quote included everything an excellent roof installation quote should include. I got quotes from other companies that were higher and didn't pin down all of the details. I've been so happy with my roof. I've referred him to friends who were also very pleased. read more

L&N Roofing did quality work using a communicative, professional crew for a very reasonable price. Our roof is very large and steep, and we wanted to add skylights during the roofing process. Loren accommodated all our requests, and had his crew chief check in with us daily while Loren checked in with us at least every other day. When we did not feel the placement of the skylight was *quite* right, Loren had his crew chief adjust it . At the end of the job, we did a walk-around to confirm that everything was done to our satisfaction. Payment of any kind was not expected until we were completely satisfied. I am surprised to read that someone had an issue with the crew guys being loud in the neighborhood; that was not our experience. Granted, they showed up very early, but they were never unnecessarily loud or offending the sensibilities of our family-oriented cul-de-sac. I found the crew guys to be pleasant, polite, and professional, particularly the crew chief. The only criticism I have for L&N is that they started the job a month later than anticipated, but this was, for us, a minor inconvenience. If I had something I needed done on a specific schedule (selling a house) I would want to be clear about the date restrictions. Given all this, I recommend L&N Roofing to friends without hesitation. read more

L&N Roofing replaced our cedar shingle roof about 4 years ago. They added plywood sheeting with many odd angle cuts. Their crew was experienced, efficient and had worked together many years. We appreciated their hard work and professionalism. We chose L&N over 2 other highly reputable companies and so glad we did. They were considerable less expensive, but gave us essentially a life-time guarantee on their materials. I recommend L&N Roofing to anyone needing a new roof. read more

So I've never had my roof done.... I rent. But my mom had her roof and the roof to her garage done by these guys and it looks great and my mom's is super happy with the work (Omg her roof on the garage was sinking before and now it's looking like a real roof lol). My mom is a nit picker and did not complain 1 time while the work was being done. The roofers worked while she was at work and anytime I stopped by, work area was tidy. Both my mother's house and garage are surrounded with veggie as well as flower gardens and amazingly not 1 area was disturbed. I honestly don't have another roofing job I can compare them too but from my moms mouth (who has had different houses roofed) "L &N Roofing are fantastic, professional, friendly, and do quality work." She also told me she would recommend to any friend, family, Co worker... etc who was in need of roofing services because it's hard to find hard workers who do quality work @ a competitive price. I can't give them 5 stars because they did not personally do my roof but from what I saw before, during and after these guys did work for my mom they deserve 4stars. I was reading the last review and it seems to be the exact opposite of our experience. But when I looked at the other reviews left by Jennie, seems all she does is complain. She wrote 2 bad reviews exactly 1yr apart for the same biz with the same story! Guess some people are never satisfied no matter how hard or well you work. I needed my roof to be replaced and wanted to get a few bids. My neighbors used L&N Roofing and they recommended them. I asked Phil to measure my roof and submit his quote. He was prompt and very thorough - answered all my questions. I wanted to check other bids and did find a lower quote. Even though I choose a lower bid, Phil was very professional and offer to "step up" if the other contractor could not fulfill his obligation. i just had my roof replaced by L&N. Loren seems like a good person and says he stands behind his work..... don't be fooled by the nice old man act, he is an unpleasant person and does NOT stand behind his work. During the 2.5 day process he did not contact me, did not contact me when they finished either. two days went by after they completed the job i finally called him. I felt i needed an update as to the work and anything that needed done or damage they may have seen. His response was " i can come by tomorrow for payment". i haven't even had time to assess the work since it is dark in the morning and dark in the evening. There are reference letters and claims they leave the area tidy, that was not my experience. roofing debris, and granule run-off on driveway, and surfaces on and around the house, the patio furniture and cabana returned to wrong places and the cabana is strained at a slant. i need to bring four guys over to help straighten it back up. i just had the roof inspected and there is debris still on the roof, and flashing that is lifted which will allow water and wind up underneath. when i pointed this out to Loren, he just says "believe me" that is okay.
