L'As du Fallafel is a lively, always-buzzing spot in the Marais and easily one of the most popular street food stops in Paris. We tried the chicken shawarma, lamb and turkey shawarma, along with their house hot sauce, fries, and an Israeli beer. Everything hit the mark--the wraps were packed, juicy, and easily among the best we've had anywhere. The chicken shawarma in particular stood out for its flavor and freshness, while the hot sauce added a great kick without overpowering the food. The fries were simple but satisfying and worked perfectly alongside the wraps. The atmosphere is fast-paced and energetic, with a constant mix of locals and tourists, and it's usually packed, which adds to the experience. Service was friendly despite the crowds and the quick turnover. A must-visit for anyone craving a generous, flavorful, and satisfying falafel or shawarma experience in Paris.
Had some amazing French restaurants while in Paris, but this cute, casual place has them beat. Still dreaming of L'As du Fallafel and their perfectly crispy falafels and creamy hummus. The portions are generous and I recommend sharing a plate or pita with someone because it's a lot! Great place to stop by after a day of shopping. No wait for our party of 8 despite the very limited seating (they gave us two tables of four) because it was 3pm in the afternoon.
Incredible Service, incredible food. The nicest men waited on us perfectly. Food is yummy and authentic. Had the falafel wrap. Ohhh so delicious.
Best Fulop and Paris highly recommend going to this place. We came here because my mom had been here in the past. It's an amazing blend of cultures. You see people from all over the country. All religions dining in one place just to have great food.. We had the falafel sandwich which was phenomenal crispy with the pain is from the pickles that was perfect. We also have a Shawarma plate that was immensely tasty a great amount of food. I particularly loved the cabbage salad. The staff is extremely friendly informative made you feel like you're at home. You can take the food to go or eat there. I highly recommend coming to this place. Whether you're in the neighborhood room for a destination to come if you're in the neighborhood or make it a destination for the incredible friend in the shopping in this neighborhood both vintage and otherwise it's truly outstanding. One of our favorite areas in all of. Paris.
Famous falafel spot in the Marais. There was a bit of a line right when they opened but they're efficient about it. We split the Falafel Signature sandwich and it's tasty. The Falafel balls were crispy and fresh. I loved the addition of roasted eggplants and the spicy sauce added a nice kick to the sandwich as well. Not the best I've ever had but a fun snack nonetheless.
VEGAN REVIEW My friend recommended this place vehemently & I was a little like... what's the big deal, it's falafel... YOU GUYS IT IS SO DELICIOUS The falafel is perfection, as are all the side dips, salads & breads. Dine in if you can, the menu is larger (plates & such) Service is SO FAST Lenny Kravitz loved this place, so you know it's good LOL
As someone who goes to Paris quite often, I am always on the hunt for some new places to eat at. I stumbled upon L'As du Fallafel, and this restaurant had some delicious dishes to try! It is a very busy spot, so finding a seat can be quite difficult. But the service is really fast and the servers are also very kind. Prices do differ if you want to dine in vs take out. Now on to the food, the falafel plate is delicious and with the portion sizes are big so can definitely be shareable! The sandwiches are very fresh, have great flavour and its just packed with so much ingredients! 9/10 recommend!
We made a stop here for a late night snack, I was excited to give them a try after seeing all the raving reviews. I decided to order the Falafel special, which comes with falafel, veggies, eggplant, tahini sauce, and hot sauce in a pita. The pita was packed with everything and I really liked the falafel, it was very tasty and cooked perfectly. The hot sauce also had that spicy kick that spicy lovers will enjoy. The tahini was just okay though, I felt like I had better tahini at other places in the states. Overall, the falafel pita was pretty good, but the tahini brought it down a little bit. Compared to other places I've been to in the states, I felt like the white sauce wasn't better. With that in mind, it's still a pretty good spot to get your falafel fix in.
I mean, yeah come on. The food is phenomenal. Not a long wait, great service and staff who keep the line moving. Very authentic and a great mix of textures and flavors. Tried the lamb shawarma and falafel pita. DELISH
While waking around the old Jewish quarter our local friend suggested we come here to get takeout and go eat in a nearby park. We were told they usually have a long line but it wasn't bad that day. We got a bunch of schawarmas and fries - all quite delicious and for Paris a 15 euro schawarma with juicy tasty meat is reasonable. They have seating inside but on a nice day the hidden gem of a park just a few steps to the right of it is a much more pleasant venue.
Not my first time dining here; it's a must do each time we are in Paris. Don't be dissuaded if you see a line at the door, it moves quickly. I adore their food and so does everyone else as it's always filled with locals! You may consider sharing a few things because portions are large.
The first time we came here, my family loved it. We came in the winter and it was the perfect hot meal and the falafel was super crispy. Now, two years later, we came back and felt that it was alright. There are always lines but it goes relatively quick. The falafel is probably the best falafel we've ever tried, but the shawarma in a pita was ok and the rest of the veggies and sauces in the falafel were not the best we've ever had (best meat in pita we've had is Falafel Stop in northern california).
By far the best falafel in the world (and yes I've had a lot of falafel in the US and internationally including Egypt). Absolutely incredible. Quick service even if you are waiting in line to sit down (wait is usually 20 minutes or less). The guy writing your name down is hilarious and fun. If you don't want to sit down there is a to go line that is quick. The restaurant itself is like a fast food seating with basic chairs and tables that is semi clean. Service is definitely very quick. The food is absolutely amazing. The hot sauce is fantastic. The veggies are fresh. I could eat this everyday. I'm so sad it's in Paris and would love for it to be in the USA It is a must go otherwise you didn't do Paris right! Scrap the Michelin stars and go here
This little gem is our go to spot when visiting Paris. We love strolling around the streets of Marais and have made it a tradition to stop stop L'As du Fallafel. There's always a line up but they're extremely efficient so it goes pretty fast. If you're in a rush, you can always take-out but I find it hard to walk and eat this yummy yet messy sandwich. Watch out for the pigeons too in the street ;-) They're falafel sandwich is a must try but I also tried their kefta sandwich recently which was good. There are other falafel spots on the area but can't speak for them. read more

J'en suis pas sûr ... peut-être que je connais pas très bien la cuisine du Moyen orient mais selon moi les meilleurs sont toujours ceux du Hummus grill à philadelphie hahaha. Located in Le Marais, this is a great, if very well-known, place to get falafels at a reasonable price. I came here for dinner for the first time with a friend on a Sunday evening in late October 2022, but I had previously passed by several times before and always wanted to try it out. We arrived around 6:45 PM and there was a long-ish line outside. An employee was going through to determine who was dining in, who was doing takeaway, and gave us a slip of paper and an ETA. We wound up waiting maybe 15 minutes for a table, and were seated pretty quickly give how long the line was. My friend and I shared 2 appetizers, the grilled eggplant with tahini & pomegranate seeds, and the falafels. The eggplant was silky smooth and the falafels were small and therefore nice and crispier than the bigger falafels I'm used to elsewhere. Next, we each ordered a schawarma sandwich as our main. The sandwich was great comfort food, with generous portions of meat and garnishes. Everything was fresh and delicious. The restaurant was very lively as it was quite busy with locals and tourists alike. The ambiance is casual, nothing too comfortable or cute but the service is efficient and friendly, and the food is good. I would definitely come back here next time I'm craving falafels or schawarma! read more

Never thought to eat a falafel pita wrap in France, but would definitely recommend this place!!! There was a long line of people on the street waiting for these falafels! I would say there were around 30+ people in front of me and the wait took a little over 20 minutes. This was sooooo good!!! The falafels were crispy on the outside, warm on the inside, and packed with flavor! There were also pieces of grilled eggplant in the pita wrap. It was so fun to eat because there were so many toppings and the pita bread itself was so soft and warm! The sauces included in the wrap really took this pita wrap to the next level! I think one sauce (the red one in the picture) was some kind of hot sauce and the other sauce might have been tzatziki or tahini - either way, it was delicious! Super friendly service as well. :) Downside: no seating inside/outside. My friend and I ate just ate standing outside along the wall with an audience of pigeons. read more
Good experience! A bit expensive but we enjoyed it. The dine in line moved pretty fast. The fries were super delicious. Wish there had been less cabbage and more something else on the falafel plate. The shawarma was hands down better. Really good pita sandwich. If you are craving something other than French food then it is a good option. read more

Very fast service. There's a line for take out. No wait for dine in. Easy for us to get a table at peak dinner time because it's only two of us. Food comes in less than 2 mins. Generous serving. Nice waiters. Delicious food. A lot of vegan options. Has English menu and bathrooms clean. I got the complete falafel plate and my hubby got the shawarma sandwich. I highly recommend this place when in Paris read more
"Falafel Ace" in English really hits the spot, I imagine more so after a night out I went for lunch and got a falafel sandwich the only other option for a vegetarian being the ten piece falafel ball There an efficient order-taking system during busier times where someone will take your order and payment in line, so make sure you know what you want before getting in. Then, when you get to the front hand the person your ticket and watch your food be made right in front of your eyes! The falafel was good, not too dry and didn't fall apart. We were told the sauces were spicy but they were more simple and flavorful-- definitely more concentrated to one side which made it hard to eat and messy- but that's all part of the fun Don't bother going inside the restaurant as it is definitely street food and there are lots of parks and pretty places to eat outside of the weather's nice. The customer base is clearly a mix of tourists and locals. You may feel slightly guilty ignoring the beckoning call of the man running the competing falafel shop across the narrow street but focus your sights ahead because you're waiting in line for a reason. read more

We stumbled across this place while wandering the cobblestone lanes of Le Marais. If I'm being honest, I wasn't expecting this to be the best meal of my entire trip to Paris. But after walking out of a nearby vintage shop and spotting the universal sign of a must-try restaurant (a long line at odd hours) we had to get in line to see what the fuss was all about... and proceeded to have the best meal of the trip to Paris! It is so rare to feel satisfied from the first bite til the very last. Those juicy chicken shawarma and crispy falafels stuffed into fluffy pita pockets definitely had that magic touch! Come for a delicious pause from pastries, baguettes and cheese. It's totally worth the trip! read more

I think I'm just not a falafel person but I thought despite the line to sit, they were very efficient to seat people. It was super reasonably riced and literally so much falafel in the pita like definitely your money's worth. read more

We heard that you get to try this place when you are in Paris. It was Sunday. As we expected, a long line was waiting outside of the restaurant. While we were in line, the staff started to take an order one by one to speed up the process. We checked the menu and pictures and ordered the falafel special, falafel plates, fries and cokes. After waiting 30-40mins, we got our order. Everything was paid in advance but not prepared immediately. We found a corner and started to enjoy. It was simple and delicious! One of the memorable falafels in my life! A great change after eating Parisian food for many days. Highly recommend! read more

Simply Delicious! There are two lines when you walk up, the one on the right is to sit down and eat in the restaurant and the one on the left is for take away (To Go). If you dont want to wait, just take it to go! Orders three pita sandwiches (8 Euros each, I thought this was expensive until I saw the size! They are huge and one will fill you up): The falafel, chicken shawarma, and grilled chicken. Each is stuffed with cabbage and grilled eggplant. Needless to say all three were delicious!! If I had to pick one, the grilled chicken was probably my favorite as it has a little more flavor, but the falafel sandwich is a must try! You can also ask them to add the spicy sauce (Reccomend!). Overall, huge and delicious sandwiches. My only criticism is that the taste of the eggplant overwhelms the sandwich and in my opinion does not go well with the sandwhich. I DO like eggplant, but I need to eat it separately in this case. read more

Came around 7pm on a Monday evening for dinner. There was a line for take away but since we wanted to sit inside we were seated right away. The service was fast and friendly. My fiance got the complete falafel plate and I ordered the shawarma pita. Both were quite good. The dips that came with the falafel plate were my favorite part. Creamy, flavorful and delicious. The hype is real and it's worth the wait. I've come here on two of my three Paris trips and have chosen to eat inside both times (vs. take away). Service is hit or miss, but the food simply does not miss. The falafel is crispy on the outside and smooth on the inside. The hummus is top notch. If you order the platter to share, it comes with a red sauce inside that is out of this world. I always ask for an extra side of it to add to my sandwich. If you're in a rush, they have a limited menu (only sandwiches, I think) that can be carried and eaten on the go. It's worth noting that the restaurant closes early on Fridays and is closed on Saturdays as it is kosher. read more

It was good but I honestly didn't see what the hype was about. Maybe it's just me because everyone else seemed to love it. We got two falafels and a side of fries. Wish they gave us more white sauce but instead they gave us Mayo. There was a long wait in line to get a table so we were expecting an above average meal. Quick and delicious food for under €10 per person in the Jewish Quarter. When we first got here, we were a bit taken back by the long lines. But it moves really quickly and there is an employee taking your order and accepting payments as you wait. I ordered a falafel sandwich and my boyfriend got the shawarma sandwich. Both were amazing and you can't go wrong with either. They do a great job of stuffing the pitas full, and the pickled vegetables that come with it and the sauces were all delicious. Don't be scared to get the red sauce, it was not as spicy as I thought it would be and mixed really well with everything else. read more

When doing research for my trip to Paris, this place came up time and time again but it wasn't until a friend who lived in Paris recommended it that I knew I had to check it out to what the big deal was. I've had some wonderful falafel wraps over the years (and some not so great) so I wasn't really expecting much from this little shop. I arrived around lunchtime on a weekday afternoon and waited in a small line. They make your order at the window so you can watch the whole process unfold which I enjoyed. The second I got that pita in my hands, I took a huge bite and realized what all the fuss was about. The falafel itself is nothing short of perfection. It is perfectly crisp on the outside which gives way to a soft interior. The sauce they used complimented the sandwich well. The portions were huge considering how much I paid. The only critique I have is the chunks of tomatoes but that's more of a personal issue. read more
Simultaneously the biggest and the most expensive falafel sandwich I've definitely ever gotten. Falafel sandwiches are typically really cheap so this was definitely on the higher price end but still not expensive expensive, and the falafel was so big I didn't know how to approach it. The sauce that it came with was super delicious and despite coming on a weird time on a weekday it was so packed so make sure you come here on a day that isn't as busy - avoid weekends! The sauce on the falafel was amazing, but I have to say I really did not like the eggplant in the falafel which I believe is traditional but I've never had that before so I can't dock it too many points just because of that. Saw this place getting recommended a lot on social media and it did not disappoint! I waited in the takeout line, which moved pretty fast, and ordered a falafel pita. It was absolutely delicious! It was stuffed with a ton of fresh vegetables and roasted eggplant, the falafel was super flavorful, and the pita bread itself was warm and fluffy. So so good. We ate here twice while we were in Paris. We tried the falafel, hummus, and shawarma plates and a shawarma sandwich. The takeout sandwiches are the best value, but we opted to dine in so we could sit for a while. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Definitely worth a visit and the wait in line! read more
Located right in the heart of Paris old Jewish quarter is this amazing Fallafel place. We heard this was the heat in the city and it did not disappoint . If you come prepare for a line but it moves super quick and service is friendly and fast, but let's get to the good part! . This thing was FIRE!! . Made to order falafel balls, carrots, cabbage, tahini, hummus and a delicious spicy sauce. And get this...only 6$ what?!?!? If you are ever here, do yourself a favor and stop in! read more
