I'd like to update my review since my first stellar review was for the initial estimate process…read moreonly and I said I would update (but forgot). It's been 5 years and we've had plenty of people up in our attic since Rodent Masters completed our job and any time someone goes up there, I beg them to check and double check to ensure there are no rodent droppings. During this time, we have not heard a peep in the attic which is a complete 180 from what we were hearing before - it always sounded like the rats were having a party up there in the middle of the night. The process took about a month from start to finnish because the first thing they do is cover and patch all holes or entrances up so that nothing can get in (or out) and not just outside of the house but inside the attic and inside every single area from within the house. It's a LOT of work but they did it very well. Then, they came back and, in our case, because things were so bad, they sucked out all of the insulation and then reinsulated the entire attic with much higher quality material than what had been removed. Then they came back on final time to ensure there was no activity. So, I have no reason not to continue recommending Rodent Masters and I have for the last 5 years. I do think I will contact them soon though just to have someone do a walk around to ensure there are no new holes that have developed since they were last here. Highly recommend and I'm glad to see that the reviews continue to be outstanding since the one I gave 5 years ago!

ONE STAR FOR SHOWING UP ON TIME. ZERO STARS FOR EVERYTHING THAT MATTERED…read more I hired Rodent Masters because I have documented ongoing rat activity around my private patio at my apartment for approximately a year. I have five security cameras recording the activity, including rats repeatedly on the ground in my private patio where my small dog walks and sniffs. I explained the situation to Max in detail, including how distressed I was, and told him I was prepared to pay for an exterminator's help myself. At their request, I obtained my landlord's permission for them to perform the work. The day before the appointment, I went even further: I sent Max a five-page presentation with photographs and a diagram of my property, identifying suspected burrows, storage areas with rat activity/droppings, openings I wanted sealed, the water-heater closet, planters/root systems and other possible nesting and entry locations. I also explained that I have a small dog and wanted safe, enclosed trapping options. I specifically asked whether they could perform the work the same day if possible. The technician arrived on time, but the inspection I expected simply did not happen. He focused on whether rats might be inside my apartment even though I had reported an outdoor problem. When I asked whether he had seen my presentation, he told me it was "at the office." He did not open and inspect the storage cupboards where I had reported rat activity and droppings. He did not investigate the suspected burrows. He did not seal any openings. He looked directly at an opening into one of my storage areas and did nothing about it. Most incredibly, while standing on my patio he explained that rats like protected areas around water heaters, yet he never even opened the doors to inspect the two water heaters I had specifically identified in my presentation. After all of this, the primary recommendation I received was to buy mountain lion or fox urine and spray it myself. After I complained, Max initially told me in writing that he was "very confused" because he had forwarded my list to the technician and explained the situation to him. He later said they were trying to "save me money" and the technician did not want to take my money "by just setting traps." That explanation makes no sense. This was supposed to be a free estimate. I never told anyone I was on a budget. I had specifically asked whether they could do the work that same day and was prepared to pay. Nobody even gave me an estimate or presented treatment options and allowed me to decide what I wanted to spend. Max also brought up my doggie door afterward. I did not tell Max about a doggie door the day before. I mentioned it casually to the technician while we were already standing on my patio. I never reported rats inside my apartment. He insisted on coming in and looking under my sink and told me I had no evidence of rat existence. My complaint is simple: I hired a rodent professional to investigate documented rat activity, identify nesting/entry areas, recommend appropriate trapping and exclusion, and give me an estimate. Instead, the specific areas I identified were not meaningfully investigated, no holes were sealed, I received no estimate, and I was essentially told to buy predator urine. Had Max simply told me after receiving my five-page presentation that this wasn't the type of work they were going to perform, I would have thanked him and continued looking for another company. Instead, I stopped searching because I believed help was coming the next morning. That lost time matters when you are already dealing with an ongoing problem. I also let Max know how traumatized I was by these rats and how I wasn't sleeping at night. He seemed so empathetic and told me not to worry. Why pretend you want to help and then lie about our initial conversation. P.S. I saw another reviewer say someone from this company arrived in an unmarked white van, which the company disputed in its response. The technician who came to my home also arrived in an unmarked white van, and I have the security-camera footage showing it.

Robert was amazing. I had previously gotten a previous inspector that noted I had dry wood and…read moresubterranean termites and was quoted 5000$ to treat them. Only to find out after Robert did his own inspection, that the dry wood infestation had already been treated by the previous owner and was not active, and the subterranean infestation was really just ants swarming. Robert was honest trustworthy and could have easily taken advantage. He did not and I am grateful. He was able to recommend an action plan that was a fraction of the cost. Would definitely recommend for a trustworthy service

Speedy's Termite Control monologue:…read more When I discovered I had termites, I was perturbed. I did the inevitable tedious job of checking reviews, making calls and answering the same questions over and over. I was dreading the cost and the inconvenience of how long I thought the tenting process would take...so I thought. When I called Speedy's Termite Control, I spoke with Robert. Immediately, I was put at ease. His passion for his work and his business was beyond evident. After receiving some preliminary information about my concern and the size of my houses (front house had termites and back house for precaution), he explained the tenting process from start to finish - he personally would make a visit to verify the termites and assess the damage, explained the gases that would be used and how they worked, his warranty, the length of time I would need to be out of the house, the process involving the gas company, and requirements for pre and post tenting which included how to protect my food. I was even privileged to hear why Robert established his termite business. Makes sense to me! You're hired. I wish I personally knew more people that need termite tenting service. Then I remembered, I have Yelp cousins. I'll tell them who the call. So, cousins, call Speedy's Termite Control. You won't need to make any other calls. Happy tenting! P.s.- I watched the team put up and bring down the tent and all the prep work in between. Fascinating and quick!! They were so efficient and seamless.

I understand staff changes but I didn't have time or energy to micromanage that process and as a result I had to pay more to use them due to rats returning, it didn't seem to have fixed the problem since I'm having an issue again. The second time I used them, they were more diligent with the scheduling but I still had to remind them at least once to refill the bait boxes or check on them. I will not be using them again.

The customer service was amazing, They came right out , literally the next day to inspect & I WAS VERY PLEASED .. I got quoted for the service that was needed , agreed and the guy was able to come the very next day to service me . THE SERVICE: Basically patching up entry ways and setting traps in the attic & garage . THE PRICE: $1800 I know that was ALOT . And once i seen the process i felt played . The guy who came out used Gaps & cracks to seal cracks. YES THE $5 can that was at home depot . The patch work and the service was definitely not worth the price. I was disappointed in the fact that I had to request something more on the lines of cement. For $1800.. top of line the products and procedures should be in place. The ONLY PRO: is the one year warranty. MY ADVICE: call any pest control company , get the free estimate, have a handy man patch you up. & If you're not brave enough, MAYBE call them to set up the traps and poison . MAYBE ... Im sticking beside them for termite control . But this was a veeeery expensive lesson that i hope nobody else has to learn. The ONLY reason this particular service got any stars is because the customer service really is good!
