If you like Chinese skewers from the street carts in flushing, then you will be enamoured with this lovely place. All types of meats and veggies with that blend of spices. Tip is to get the daily combo that comes with baos and extra sauces. Enjoy

Our Global Committee from the Long Island Board of Realtors had a Lunar Celebration of the Dragon last Mon. Feb 12. It was my very first time eating there. The food was sumptuous and delicious. The service was excellent too. It was a self-service styled setup and there were ample amounts of varied types of dishes, some spicy and some not. The chicken dishes were superb. There was an amazing string bean dish with various spices that was fantastic. I believe there was some fish dish, I am not sure of the exact name, but that too was great. Every dish was very tasty and I would reccomend everyone to go there and enjoy an excellent meal.

Why does everything taste exactly the same (aka cumin)?! If you love cumin, this is for you. If you don't and prefer meats to have different seasonings and flavors, then best not to disappoint yourself. I've never been to a restaurant where every single skewer tastes just like the next one regardless of what type of meat it is. They do have some vegetable choices and give out free taro chips.

I was a bit lenient with the rating. It's more like 3 1/2 star but the service and happy hour bumps it up to 4. The drinks are pretty and tasty. Their food could use less spices so that you can taste the meat.

I like how the restaurant operates at night time. The beef and beef tongue were the best among our order. The lamb was fine. I wouldn't order the tendon again because it was really hard to chew. The sausage was nothing special, so you can just skip it.

We came here looking for a bar open late on a Sunday. They are open until midnight on sundays! We were looking for decent drinks on a du day night and got more than we expected! The place is very nice and clean, will definitely come and again and recommend it!

Very spacious and relaxed atmosphere. Service is friendly and attentive. We tried a sample of different meats and vegetables and everything was seasoned well and very tasty. Will definitely be returning to try some more of the very interesting menu items.

Usually have to venture out to flushing for bbq skewers. Was excited to have a skewers place closer to Long Island. Appetizers and stir fry dishes were all very good. Fried noodles and rice were perfect for the kids. All the skewers were fresh and perfectly grilled. Service was good. Food was a bit slow to come out even when the place wasn't very busy. Will definitely be returning for some late night sticks and beers.

This place is an awesome gem that definitely deserves more customers. Think Flushing or Chinatown late night spot comes to Long Island. Definitely bringing a new flavor to the area! Food was simple grilled or lightly fried asian style pub food. You can customize your spice level and there were plenty of veggie options. The ingredients were very fresh. Some seafood there was actually kept live and cooked to order (scallop and oyster especially!) For a place serving beer and skewers the cocktails were delicious and imaginative! I enjoyed the LOL mojito and Plum Black Tea Lemonade which were both delicious! My wife had the puppy love and this rose drink which she also enjoyed (especially the puppy love)! Ambiance is casual and music is pop and house. Definitely a fun vibe. THE SERVICE was such a highlight for us. May was so attentive and fun to talk to. She was very helpful navigating the menu and welcoming us to the restaurant! Definitely would come back and bring a big group of friends next time!

What a great new place. They have these amazing skewers and lots of veggie options too. There is something for the more adventurous spirit too. Full bar and friendly service.

Pretty cheap and the food is good. I like the low lighting and atmosphere. Very cozy here. I like the pork belly and beef here. It's seasoned well!

Chef Benny served up banger after banger of his favorites. From uni and spicy tuna hand rolls to sashimi and nigiri... we were in sushi heaven. He also kept the banter flowing all night, sharing stories of his own pals and telling us all about his favorite restaurants across Long Island and Queens. Note: Prices may be inaccurate, as this is from an online menu without a listed date…read more I was here with one of my usual larger groups at this excellent Spanish, or rather Spain-ish, tapas restaurant, a good while back. The inside was a tad dark, and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, which was to be expected given our large group size and the various other tables they had to attend to. The food, overall, was excellent, with this being the first Spain-ish (last time I'll use this bad joke) spot that reminded me of the Ironbound in Newark. In terms of drinks, they have the usual sangria, wines, sherry, and some standard cocktails, but I went with something that's not commonly found in the city. That was the Tinto de Verano, a refreshing mix of red wine and lemon soda, which I believe was around $12. This is a more local drink from Spain, and I was happy to see it here. They also have the Basque drink Kalimotxo, a mix of red wine and Coca-Cola, for $9. They gave us some bread to begin with, which was munched on and soon used with their delicious sauces. As for the rest of the food, we stuck primarily to tapas, aside from a paella. The first thing that arrived was unfortunately something that I couldn't eat, as I have a cephalopod allergy. This was the delicious-smelling Pulpo a la Gallega for $22, consisting of sliced boiled octopus with paprika, salt, and olive oil. The rest of the people loved it, and from serving it to some people, I could tell it was fork-tender. Outside of the pulpo, we got two other seafood tapas. The $16 Vieras a la Casuela, or scallop casserole with red & green peppers, paprika, and olive oil, was delicious. There were plenty of plump scallops with a mild sweetness accentuated by the olive oil and paprika. The $14 Gambas al Ajillo, or prawns in garlic & white wine, was also excellent. The shrimp were cooked very nicely, and the garlic flavor was as strong as it should be. One of the earlier things to arrive was, ironically, my least favorite. This was the $15 Pimientos de Piquillo Rellenos, or Piquillo peppers stuffed with tuna, egg, olives & vegetables. The dish was cool as expected, and while I liked the sauce, I didn't find the texture appealing. The flavor was a bit light for me as well. Next came an excellent version of Tortilla Española for $13, a Spanish omelette with potatoes & onions. A lot of the other Spanish places mess up the texture, but this was perfectly soft and tender. There were plenty of potatoes in there as well, with the onions only mildly cooked down, which added a little bite. There were also two dishes featuring Serrano ham. One was the tasty $13 Judías Salteadas con Jamón Serrano, or sautéed green beans with said ham. The green beans had a nice texture, and the salty ham added a pleasant bite. The other dish with this ham was the Garbanzos a la Española, which was slightly more expensive but also better. For $16, this consisted of roasted garbanzos sautéed with Serrano ham & chorizo. I was surprised I liked this more, as I usually don't like these beans much, but the mixture was very pleasant with the chorizo adding some nice spice. We also ordered two other dishes with chorizo. First was the excellent Huevos al Antojo for $16 with cottage fries, egg, grilled chorizo, and red peppers. This almost felt like a fancy breakfast option with the thin-cut cottage fries having a nice texture, especially when mixed with the runny fried egg. The chorizo and red peppers added a necessary spice to this dish. Otherwise, there was the simpler Chorizo al Vino, or chorizo in wine sauce, for $14. This was as good as can be expected for such a plain dish, but it was still tasty. Rounding out the tapas was the $9 Patatas Bravas, or spicy potatoes with a cooling white sauce, which was pretty good too. I've had this in plenty of places, and this was decent. I have liked the texture more in some other places, but it was still good and was plenty piquant. Our remaining main dish was the $48 Paella Valencia, which had a mix of seafood and meat. The seafood included one of my allergens, but they removed it, so I was fine eating that dish. Otherwise, I believe the remaining ingredients, aside from the spices and peppers, were mussels, clams, shrimp, scallops, chicken, and chorizo. All the seafood inside was cooked nicely, and the rice had a good flavor. This was an excellent paella, and the portion size was quite large, still served in the large vessel it was cooked in. The remaining dish was dessert, the $9 Tarta de Santiago, or Spanish almond cake, served with vanilla ice cream, which might have been an extra charge, but I'm not positive. The cake had a marzipan flavor and was lightly sweet. It was a satisfying end to the meal. We had a very good meal here. No particular favorites, as everything was very tasty overall.

We're a local family that made it a point to come to dinner here at least once a month but our last visit was the last nail in the coffin. The younger waitress has never once smiled and has is always been all business but at least she doesn't bully and antagonize her tables. The chef was gruff, rude, and treated us noticeably different from all of the tables. When he brought out our bottle of wine and I said "yay that looks great!" he paused, gave me a dirty look, and said "you're determined not to have a good time, aren't you?"-- despite this being the first thing I said to him and his waitstaff directly beyond our order. Shocked, and not wanting to ruin the dinner for my dining companion, I brushed it off, but promised myself I would not return. The chef makes it a habit to complain about how busy he is, how understaffed he is, but also how long people take at tables-- and also seemingly makes arbitrary decisions about who and what he takes offense to. If the chef stays in the kitchen and gets waitstaff that understand what providing good customer service for -everyone- looks like, we'll be back, but at this rate and reading other reviews it looks like pigs will fly before that happens!
