Came here with a good impression left from a YEE here a few months prior, so my friend and I decided to dine here. The food was just average. Knowing the area it's in and the type of patrons that we saw coming in and out, I guess we can't say we didn't have some expectations. Definitely a place geared more towards special events or date nights, not if you want to be adventurous and try items you can't typically find elsewhere. We had the crispy shrimp rolls, curry noodles, and duck salad. The crispy shrimp rolls were nice, but weren't worth the $15. The curry noodle and duck salad, on the other hand, were much better but weren't anything that memorable for us to order again. This is definitely a great place to go for the ambiance, especially when you have a craving for Thai food. Not sure if I'd go out of my way to come here again, unless I'm in the area and want some casual Thai food. read more

Enjoyed a delicious early dinner on a Saturday afternoon at Erawan Thai cuisine. Absolutely loved the atmosphere vibes in this beautiful restaurant. There were so many gorgeous portraits of the Thai culture from elephants to Buddha statues to colorful paintings. Appreciate how the staff politely greet me as they give me the menu and ask me if it's my first time dinning here; thought it was very personal with the finest customer experience. There were so many options on the menu; though I ended up ordering the Pad Kraprow served with chicken and white rice. Oh my! And let me tell you the wait was not that long. Totally devoured this delicious and tasty entree as it's my favorite, the chicken was perfectly sautéed with the right amount of bell peppers, chili peppers and basil leaves. Oh Ghosh! It's been a while since I had such an excellent Thai meal. And to top it off they have happy hour all day if I'm not mistaken with an affordable price. I'd obviously ended up ordering a lychee martini that hit the spot then the staff gave me a second drink on the house. I most definitely would visit again and I really enjoyed my experience here. Greeted at the door, gentleman held the door open for my large group of over 30+ there for a Birthday celebration. They quickly accommodated us by rearranging the tables so we all fit and did it while having a pretty full house. Everyone was professional and very friendly, nice atmosphere. They were as kid friendly, as well as the menu to accommodate the kids - chicken finger, chicken wings, french fries, etc. They handled our large group very well. Taking care of everyone's drink orders as well as the need for the appetizer orders to be taken early, especially with the kids being hungry. Service was professional, fast and very friendly. The food was very good and so we're the drinks. I have had Thai Ice Tea many times at other places but this place made it creamy smooth. The appetizers were good from the calamari to the curry puffs. The main courses ranged from fish, lobster, crab to steak and my favor the curry noodles with big pieces of shrimp, chicken, scallops etc. The desserts were very good as well, the cake, rice pudding, mangos, and my Flaming Fried Ice Cream. The owner was so sweet and helpful - she took very good care of us and the Birthday Girl. I would definitely highly recommend this place whether you stop by just for Happy Hour or for a whole meal. A woman of my word and I am back. We arrived before the crowd to experience the happy hour. We chose our seating. We kicked off with appetizers, portions for each item were enough to share with three.. Fried shrimp rolls, soft shell crab rolls, chicken satay and lobster triangles. 3.5 stars for take out service... Just attended the Yelp Elite event not long ago so it prompted me to order take out from them. Pad Thai was the mission as was the chicken satay. This experience was not like the restaurant (dine in). Sadly my chicken satay was super dry! Disappointed. And the Pad Thai I ordered was with shrimp - shrimp was fine but the noodles lacked in flavor. I think I will stick to dine -in. Better quality eats when you're there in person. My last visit here was amazing as I attended a Black/Gold Yelp Elite event. I was so impressed that I had to bring my wife so she can experience this incredible food and wonderful hospitality for herself; from the moment we walked in, the experience was flawless, and a huge part of that was due to the exceptional service from our server, Hui. Hui is an absolute gem. She was incredibly attentive, warm, and had a fantastic knowledge of the menu. Now, for the food, which was equally impressive. We started with the Pad Sea Eiw with chicken. This is a dish I often order when I have Thai food, Erawan's version is now my gold standard. The flat rice noodles were incredibly fresh and had that perfect, slight chew and smoky "wok hei" flavor. The chicken was succulent and cooked perfectly. We also tried the Pad Kraprow with Pork, and it was a flavor explosion. The pork was not minced, but sliced and beautifully seasoned and stir-fried with fresh basil and chilies, creating an aromatic and savory dish that was both comforting and exciting. It had just the right amount of heat. The fried egg is an extra charge, but you have to order it as it brought everything together. For dessert the fried ice cream is a must. The thai fried chicken appetizer was the only dish that was average IMHO. Great specials on lunch and happy hour. Definitely a must go to spot! read more

We made reservations at this Thai place on Bell Boulevard. We greeted and sat right away. They had several specials on the menu, but we went with the drunken noodles, the baby back ribs, and the mango sticky rice We started with the baby back ribs, which were excellent. We fought over the last one. We also got dumplings, which were outstanding. For the main course, I got lobster pad thai, which was very flavorful and had lots of vegetables. The order was so big. Ended up coming here because the Thai spot I usually go to on Francis Lewis Blvd closed early, and I was really in the mood for Thai food. I'm glad it did because this place was an awesome find. The staff was very welcoming, and the restaurant is super nice inside. I ordered the steak and baby back ribs. The ribs were probably the best I've ever had, and the steak was really good too, especially for the price. My partner had the pineapple fried rice, which was awesome. As I was leaving, I found out they have free parking in the rear of the building, which is pretty unusual for Bell Blvd and definitely a nice bonus. This place is definitely a must-try. I'd have to say it's the best Thai spot in the Bayside area and probably one of the top Thai restaurants in all of Queens. We'll definitely be back. read more

Erawan Thai Cuisine is conveniently located on Bell Blvd, close to the Bayside LIRR station. One of my favorite things is when a Thai restaurant provides the assortment of hot sauces/chili powders/hot peppers. Another is Thai salad with peanut dressing and tofu. We randomly chose this restaurant for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. They have lunch specials on weekends so that's a good bargain. They were friendly and attentive. Inside was spacious and decorated with many Thai elements as well as Halloween decorations for the season. I got the Gai Sum See (chicken, shrimp, squid). It had plenty of chicken, squid and shrimp. We stopped by on a weekend for dinner and were surprised by how elegant the interior looked considering how casual/plain the exterior was. We ordered the Pla Sum Rod (Crispy whole fish) & Petd Shu-Shee (crispy half duck with red curry). Both dishes filled up our tiny table and were both great. Our favorite was the crispy fish, which had an addicting sweet and sour sauce. We devoured the whole fish as most bones were soft enough to chew. The duck curry was a bit disappointing as the sauce was not as rich or flavorful as we'd like. The duck was cooked well but the skin was not very crispy. In the few times that I have been here, the place is always packed with costumers so it is a good idea to have reservations. Table setting is casual, utensils are clean and properly placed. They offer generous food portions, food price is fair and they give great value on lunch specials basing on their menu. I have noted that staff members are inviting, pleasant, sweet and very attentive. Food quality was really good, it taste fresh, flavorful, delicious and still hot when served. I specially love their Kaeng kiew warn and always pair it with steamed rice. Staff are helpful on accomodating special request. The elegant renovations recently made have opened up the space, which manages to feel intimate, classy and fun. We opted for a couple of cocktails with a few shared appetizers, and were generously offered dessert on the house. After not getting into the black and gold badge event yelp had for this event, I decided to go and try this place on my own since its location was convenient to where I'm. Always walked by this place i had no idea how nice the interior would look, especially since the exterior did not match and always looked a bit rundown giving me the impression that this was your typical no substance bell boulevard restaurant, but I was proven wrong that day. Ordered the duck curry and the fried fish with the combo sweet, spicy savory sauce. Duck curry was average to underwhelming, the duck wasnt as crispy as I would have liked and the sauce had way too much coconut milk and lacked flavor since the coconut milk drowned out any spices the curry would have bought with it. The fried fish was the star as the fish was incredibly crispy and fried to perfection, while the insides were still delicate and flakey and the sauce that the fish came with paired perfectly. Weekday lunches are a great bargain, with many choices under $15. It includes soup or salad plus entree. Their drink menu is excellent with both happy hour specials as well as more exotic cocktails, all under $15 each. We heartily recommend their moo ping (pork on a stick), chicken satay , pad krapow (spicy sliced pork, chicken or beef & vegetables) (all served with rice) and their various curries. The pork dumpling appetizer was also excellent (and only $5 during lunch specials!). We've had dinner here on several occasions as well, and have always left happy with the experience.
