They definitely have an awesome bartender Kenny!!! Drinks were on point and the food was also great!!! Going to a bar that has good food is always the best when you want to unwind with a good drink. The ambience is sexy for quick date night. I would definitely recommend having a drink and dining t L'Wren. Enjoy when you go!!!!

L'Wren is an amazing place to go to grab some drinks and food with friends. It is also an amazing place to host events. I had the pleasure of planning a birthday party and was able to use the beautiful space in the back of L'Wren. Thank you Jessica and Travis for letting us use the space. And a special thank you and shout out to Ferg and Kenny for being the best bartenders and helping us with every little thing. We had such a great time!! Now I cannot wait to come back in May and celebrate my birthday!! Keep up the great work, definitely did not go unnoticed, you are all so awesome!!

I came here with a friend during happy hour and was pleasantly surprised. Happy hour is from 4-7pm. The cocktails were well-made and delicious! The prices were also very reasonable. We also got some bites. The food here was solid!! Chips and guac, Mac and cheese bites, bourbon bbq sliders, and the double trouble sliders were great. The only complaint was that the tables are a bit on the small side so needed to do a lot of rearranging. One of my sliders fell on the floor because of rearranging. The server was nice enough to remake the entire dish. Great service! Definitely will be back!

Been going here since it opened a few years ago (2018-2019). There's been a few changes but it's still my go-to bar in Sunset Park. You go for the vibes, convo and of course the drinks (the food is ok but I rarely get it b/c that's not really my thing). It's like "Cheers" - folks might not know your name BUT they know you! Travis, the owner and Sara, the waitress are gems.

I came here with a friend for HH. They have a pretty cool HH from 4-7 on weekdays. The establishment is a decent cocktail lounge size (on the more smaller intimate side) and they have a back space for private events. The decor and aura of L'Wren is very nice. It's like a trendy but chill spot, at least on a weekday. I'm sure it becomes lively on weekends. They played perfect music that was not too loud so I was able to hold a convo easy with my friend. The worker that was there that day was very nice and continuously checked on us to make sure we were ok. We ordered: Crispy Korean Wings Tingas Tostadas Salmon The food was tasty. For drinks we ordered: Sangria and a mezcal pomegranate cocktail. The mezcal drink was absolute amazing! Also, it's definitely a cool after work spot to stop by after a busy day. I will be returning and I have been recommending L'Wren.

Stumble upon this spot when I was in the area. Cute little spot with outdoors seating that focuses on an Asian fusion tapas. I highly recommend the wings! They were so flavorful and juicy. The service was a bit slow as they were short staffed. And the food is a bit pricey for this part of Brooklyn and for just small plates tapas.

This is the second time I've come here and each time has been better than the next. Unlike the first time, I came early enough for happy hour, which I can't recommend highly enough. As soon as we walked in the place smelled absolutely HEAVENLY. The prices are also very good for the HH deal so make sure you take advantage. We had the bbq sliders along with some margaritas, both of which were excellent. Go here fam.

I'm so happy I walked in here... so I was randomly looking for a place to just sit alone and have a drink and stumbled on lwren. Nice ambiance very welcoming. I was alil apprehensive at first because I want sure what I walking into but I loved it. I was greeted by the bartender and waitress who were both amazing btw took a look at the menu and went for the Moscow mule. It was so good and refreshing. Then I preceded to order the crispy Korean wings... finger licking kudos to the chef. I also ordered in the clouds another drink, definitely put me on a high along with the old school rnb music playing which I enjoyed very much. I will be back lwren, thank you for being so nice and making me feel so welcomed.

Everything was offered as one or two ounces pours, so you could sample a bunch or relish exclusive bottles. I had one ounce of the Lucky Thirteen for $15. I typically see the bottle at a $200-$300 price point, so it was nice to get a taste without the huge splurge. Wonderful aroma. Sweet and vanilla forward reminding me of marshmallows. Sweet corn flavor too eventually switching over to more spicy flavors from the run in the late flavor and during the finish. Staff was quick, friendly, and helpful. There was one single occupancy restroom. Dynamic atmosphere. Huge sprawling windows allowing plenty of breeze and sunlight when opened. They have monstrous black out curtains which can be draped to instill a classic dim and romantic speakeasy vibe.

The vibes are classy with an entire wall of bottles lit up for a nice ambiance. Since we had our pup with us, we sat in the patio. I ordered the Rye Tea Punch ($16) while the boyfriend got the 10 Year Old Fashioned ($16). It was so cute how my drink came in a little clear teacup, which was a nice touch. The only thing that was disappointing was the slow service. We had asked for the check, but it never came around after waiting 15 minutes. We had reservations to get to, so the delay was annoying. I ended up walking up to the bartender to close out the tab since we never got our check.

Cozy, old-school Italian vibes, staff speaking Italian like they're judging you lovingly, and Negronis that'll make you rethink every bad decision you've ever made at a bar. I ordered the lasagna because a man should test a kitchen on its fundamentals. Absolute home run. Rich, layered, comforting--felt like someone's nonna was in the back nodding in approval. No notes. No leftovers. Bar Mario isn't trying to be trendy. It's just confident, timeless, and quietly excellent. The kind of spot where you come hungry, leave happy, and start planning your next visit before you even hit the sidewalk.

I have now been to Bar Mario several times, and it is absolutely worth a 5-star review…read more First, the ambience is terrific. It's not a huge restaurant (so I would make a reservation): a few 2- and 4-seat high tops, maybe 6 or 7 tables, and a bar with about 10 seats. But the environment is warm and cozy, with low lighting and music loud enough to enjoy, soft enough to have conversations with your party, the bartender, or whoever else. The servers are all excellent. Very charming and friendly. They check in often, but not in an intrusive way. I've also seen the owner walking around, greeting customers, and talking with his staff. He's always around, and he's a friendly presence. There's such a great neighborhood vibe here - there are definitely some regulars here, and it helps create a homey atmosphere. The food here is outstanding. I have not had a bad dish here. The Caesar salad is actually made with several long stalks of romaine, so it stays crisp. The meatballs come with polenta around the plate, and it is fantastic. I've also had the hangover spaghetti (excellent) and the lasagna (amazing). Their calamari also has a few shrimp and (I think) some bay scallops, so that's a great addition. And their cocktails are outstanding - potent but flavorful. I don't get a chance to go to Red Hook much, but when I do, I definitely want to stop here. It's on the "main road" of Red Hook, and there are definitely some cute shops and coffee places around, and of course, there's Ikea not too far. This restaurant, though, deserves your business.

This time was no exception. We got there around 5:30pm and were seated around 7pm-- honestly not bad at all. I absolutely loved the old-school tavern feel and the vintage aesthetics of the place. The service was amazing, and we ended up sitting at the bar, which is personally my favorite spot bc you get that more one-on-one experience with the bartender/server. His recommendations did not disappoint. We almost ordered the mussels, but he pointed us in the right direction and convinced us to go with the prawns instead. So glad we listened. They were delicious -- perfectly grilled, coated in a garlicky sauce that was just begging to be soaked up -with the sourdough toast on the side. And of course... The Burger! Very classic: American cheese, white onion, simple and beautiful. But the quality and flavor were outstanding. Exactly the kind of burger where you realize you don't need anything fancy to make it great. The chips I was not a fan of, just a more personal taste. I prefer the traditional way. We also tried the cavatelli with oxtail ragú and breadcrumbs. Delicious, but not particularly memorable. I've definitely had better pastas in NYC. Our server strongly recommended the pork chops instead and swore by them... so that's definitely what im ordering next time. Overall, loved the vibe, loved the service, loved the burger and prawns. And yes, we'll be back -- specially for those pork chops.
