Middle of a Saturday... plenty of seats!
    Ashley W.

Stumbled across this bakery in Instagram and loved the experience! There is tons of seating and space. The service was quick and the staff was so friendly. We got the pink drink and a regular coffee which were both amazing. The arepa was good and the egg bagel was okay (nothing special). The bakery items were all scrumptious and our favorite was the Dubai croissant. We will definitely go back to try more on the menu!

The bakery is such a cute little cafe. It's a very close drive from my house. It's very spacious and they have so many pastry items to choose from which include empanadas , chocolate and strawberry croissants and more. If you're craving sweet and savory you can have both. They also have lattes and coffees. I decided to get and egg and cheese bagel with cream cheese and avocado. It was a bit pricey around ten dollars which I didn't think it was going to be that much but it was very good. The servers were very welcoming and greeted me. They also seem to be Christian oriented which I liked. Overall I will be back for empanadas and I may leave with a strawberry croissants

Oh I fell in love with this place the second I opened the door. The pink and the friendly bee just embraced the friendly let me tell you. I went for my go to americano with cream to really taste the coffee as they make it in house. It's so good! I really love that flavor. I also tried a savory chicken empanada which was perfectly balanced flaky crust and delicious shredded chicken inside. Very flavorful. I also had to try the classic Chocolate chip cookie. If you can do a classic cookie right then I have full faith in the rest of your baked goods. And they did that cookie PERFECTLY. The atmosphere is adorable with plenty of seating both in small and big tables. Free WiFi and water available. I will be bringing my kids back here to try the menu. They even have a kids menu. I'm so excited to have found this beautiful bakery!!! PS the pink lid on my Americano made my day!!!!

That's how I felt visiting this Mecatos location. When I walked in, there was something playing the guitar and the atmosphere felt lively It is a large space with plenty of seating, even some couches for a more relaxed setting. Here, you order at the counter and then they bring the food to you. If there's a line just turn around and head over to the self-order kiosk. People were lining up in the line and missed the kiosks. Just remember to input the number you selected next to your name when you type the order. I ordered an Arepa with eggs pericos (scramble eggs with green onions and tomatoes) and my friend ordered a croissant with ham and cheese. We got our food and the server was so nice.

The person working that night was nice, and he explained how they'd be opening a new location on Alafaya at Waterford Lakes. That night, I got their chocolate cookie, and tried it when I got home. I was not impressed, and thought it was ok, but they were near closing time, so perhaps the cookies weren't as fresh. About a week or two later, I went to the Waterford Lakes location, and I was finally able to try their traditional chocolate chip cookie and their chocolate cookie again. Once again, I was not impressed. I find the cookies to be just ok. Flavor is serviceable, but it's not satisfying. The cookies aren't hard, but they're not soft enough either. I was left wanting and expecting better. I tried them a 3rd time recently, and I'm left feeling the same way. Even worse, last time they gave me the cookie in a half box container in which I didn't feel comfortable setting on the passenger seat, as the cookie would come off the half box. When I asked if I could have a proper box like before, I was told those were exclusively for cupcakes. The interior of the place is cute and all, but this shop doesn't do it for me.

So, it was a little bland for half the cookie. Also, it cost five dollars for one cookie. While this was a nice cookie, I don't think it was worth five dollars. As for service, when you walk in, the ordering device is right there in front of you for you to order. Nobody said a word to me even though I was standing there for quite a while waiting for my order. It was a little awkward and didn't feel super friendly. If I'm in the area and I'm craving a cookie, and I wanna spend a whole five dollars on one cookie, I would come here again. If you are a cookie fanatic, maybe you should check this place out.

The decor is minimal - tables and chairs of varying sizes, some French-themed pictures, a coffee mural and one gender neutral bathroom. There are a lot of coffee choices and a fair amount of French brunch items as well. I chose to try a butter croissant and a Parisian baguettine (a small baguette, but on this day, they were out of baguettines, so the sandwich was on a different type of French bread) with turkey. Cafe staff bring your food items to the table as customers are given numbers to place on their chosen table after ordering at the counter. My sandwich was good. I liked the creaminess the butter adds. But my croissant was burnt. I asked for another one but the two remaining croissants were only burnt to a lesser degree. The parts of the croissant that weren't burnt tasted good - I only wish the entire croissant was edible.

I can't speak to the food because I didn't eat anything during my visit so this review is based off of the coffee and the ambiance as well as the service. The whole coffee flight concept is an awesome idea! Especially to coffee lovers who want to try more than one thing. A really, really solid idea that more places should pick up on. This is honestly what impressed me the most. Also, they're really creative about their coffee options. I love that there is a coquito latte, and initially that was what I was going to order but then I saw an iced nutella foam latte on there and that won my vote. I'm not really sure what i was expecting. It was beautifully presented and I love that it was not sweet, it was just right. The consistency however was more like a milkshake rather than an iced coffee and after having half of it I was already over it; its very rich. It's a small place with indoor and outdoor seating. I like that they have that Morro design inside just like in Puerto Rico. Service was friendly and timely. I do plan to come back again and try one of their sandwiches.

I would hope to God she wouldn't resell it to someone! I'll throw it away, I'll whip it out into the field next to your business. I don't want it because it's not good product.
