After the initial repair, they left a rattle in the door panel and another rattle coming from the wheel that I could actually feel through the steering wheel. I brought the car back a second time. They fixed the door-panel rattle, but the issue with the wheel was not fixed. About a month later, the paint on the bumper they repaired started chipping off. I brought the car back for a third time to address the paint issue and the ongoing wheel rattle. They did fix the paint, but once again, the wheel rattle was not repaired. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop. The amount of time and inconvenience I've spent returning the vehicle for issues that should have been properly addressed the first time has been extremely frustrating.

At no point was I "thoroughly explained" that the service I was receiving would result in lower-quality work because of the price (no I didn't refuse any first quote, I actually paid more than the original offer for oem paint) In fact, they were the ones encouraging me to move forward with the project while I already had other work being done on the car. They also claim they repaired dents and body damage at no cost. That's misleading. I specifically asked whether the dings around the vehicle would cost extra because I was willing to pay for them, and I was told they would take care of them. That was their decision, not something I requested for free. As for the warranty, I was originally told there was a 5-year warranty on the work. However, after bringing the car back shortly after pickup to address issues I wasn't satisfied with, I was later told the warranty was no longer valid. Now the response claims it was only a 2-year warranty, which is not what I was told. The problem has never been about money. The problem is the quality of the work and the lack of accountability afterward. If a shop offers a service and accepts a job, they should stand behind the results instead of later claiming the customer didn't pay enough. Looking through other reviews, it seems like any negative feedback is met with an explanation of why the customer is at fault. I understand wanting to defend your business, but accountability goes a lot further than shifting blame. Written estimates, warranty terms, and expectations should be clearly documented to avoid situations like this in the future. This review is not about me trying to get my way or get a free paint job, this review is to save someone the headache of getting a bad paint job. From my visit today, I was pleased how friendly and honest Mr Lee was in dissuading me from…read morepurchasing a full paint job for my BMW, which has severe paint issues. The estimate he gave me was way more than the resell value of my car by several folds, so it makes sense. Even with the sentimental value of my car, the paint work would not be worth it, as Mr Lee pointed out. And going with a partial paint job, the new paint won't fully match the original. He also advised me that if I did want to repaint me car, it would be best to keep it the same color as the original factory paint to ensure the best appearance. It would also help match the color of the inside areas of the door and doorways. It was very kind and generous of Mr Lee to give me so much of his time, explaining everything I wanted to know. I honestly wouldn't be able to fit l everything I learned from him into this review. It only dawned unto me half way through my visit why Yosemite Auto Body Shop was actually named that... Mr Lee is an avid rock climber himself!! I only made the connection when I saw a hangboard right over the bathroom doorframe. Then I saw all these rock climbing photos of him and his family everywhere in the office. And you won't believe it... Mr Lee climbed with Alex Hannold over in Yosemite!! It must have been his old stomping grounds. I can imagine he's had many many great climbs. No wonder his passion for Yosemite. I'd like to also mention that his assistant, Sarah, is quite friendly herself and is pleasant to talk to. Ask her about tightrope! I can see from the looks of their work and my experience interacting with the owner and staff that they pride themselves in not only delivering the highest quality workmanship but also complete customer satisfaction.
