    Tres Leches
    Humza M.

There are only a handful of places you can get tres leches in the Kalamazoo area and this small bakery is one of them! Everything in this bakery is fresh and bursting with flavor. The staff is very nice and the bakery selections are very reasonably priced. We had the tres leches (3) and selected a cookie (1) running just short of $9. The cake was super moist and the milk helped to round out the dish very nicely. I highly recommend trying it out and at $2.50 you can't go wrong. I will definitely be coming back here for all my sweet tooth needs!

They always low on. All kinds of sweet bread. Or product. There. Service is very slow. Walk in there and it looks dead.

The bread stuffed with cream cheese and jalapeños is fantastic. Only on Fridays. I just wish it would be ready at a consistent time.

I will have to say this is the coolest bakery and culinary experience I have been to in a while,…read moreservice was amazing, the shashuka was super tasty and extremely fresh, and they had this cute band playing folk music when we went, they also had a local artist with hand carved fish exhibited there and we ended up loving it so much we bought two of them definitely worth going to if you're in the area of central Michigan

I've heard great things about Sarkozy Bakery for years, but never had a chance to stop in since…read morethey close at 5 pm or earlier. We happened to be in town during lunch time so Nate and I stopped in for a quick bite. Their lunch menu includes some sandwiches, a couple salads, pizza, soup, and quiche. I got the ham and cheese sandwich, and Nate got an 8" pizza. The food came out pretty quickly, and I liked the sandwich. It had plenty of mayo and thickly sliced ham and cheese. It came with a little cup of pickled veggies, which I enjoyed. I had a bite of the pizza, which was very tasty! The prices were great - I think my sandwich was $7.50. We also got some pastries for dessert - I chose the cherry danish, and Nate got the pistachio croissant. Both were very tasty and not too sweet. The vibe of this bakery is more old-school and homey than some of the more "trendy" bakeries that I'm used to - not a bad thing, just a little different. They sell loaves of bread, cookies, and pastries. I loved their merch, too - cute pins, hats, tote bags, etc. They have brunch every Sunday and they were swapping out some art while we were there. It's a cute spot and I'm glad I finally got to check it out.

A complete nightmare! BEWARE!!…read more The owner Amy is full of herself and has absolutely no professional etiquette whatsoever. Starting with her inability to answer straight forward questions and ending with her backing out of contract and cancelling our order 50 days before my wedding after I already paid the down payment! She cancelled the contract and refunded the down payment I made to hold the date - leaving us to find another cake vendor on short notice! Her excuse? She has worked "for Bert's for 42 years and made over 10,000 cakes and feels like no matter what she does, she won't make me happy." Photo attached. All I did was ask about the pricing for the samples because no other cake vendor had required payment for samples so I didn't know how much they cost. I also asked her which location we should visit to try the samples. Lastly, I told her that I couldn't believe that she was charging us the same amount to deliver the cake across the street as she would charge us if she were driving across town. I didn't say I wouldn't pay for delivery... I just told her I was surprised that she would do that. The other cake vendor we were considering wasn't charging us a delivery fee at all and they are located 30 miles away from our church! I was put off by how unprofessional she was from the beginning when I first reached out last fall. The only reason I decided to finally give Amy a chance is because she was cheaper and right across the street from our church. Now I understand, you get what you pay for...... because Amy is a MESS. Absolutely awful and I feel sorry for anyone who has had to deal with her. I saw in other reviews that she is described as rude, cheap, disorganized, snobby, and that she talks down to customers. I can confirm that she is ALL of these things and worse. The cake isn't even that good and at this point I'd rather buy one from Sam's Club than have to work with Amy and her staff. She doesn't send you a contract until you pay her a down payment, which is strange. Typically you create a contract/agreement, have both parties sign it, and then you ask for the deposit. The contract looked incredibly sketchy - Words were misspelled, font was all over the place, punctuation and grammar were hideous. Photo attached. Just so you know, AMY - Nobody cares HOW MANY YEARS you've been making cakes, HOW MANY CAKES you've made in your lifetime or HOW GREAT YOU THINK THEY TASTE if you continue to be a an inconsiderate, egotistical, uneducated, defensive, stubborn old woman who can't figure out how to treat people and keep your word. That's just bad business... I don't care who you are. I'll "wish you the best" as well...
