This town and the adjoining town of Swannanoa was hit terribly by the hurricane in Sept 2024. They are really trying to get some tourist to come back . They need it. When you get off the exit go left and check out the adorable little town. Lots of boutiques and from what I can tell. This town has lots of little art stores and shops and really nice people. Come dinner time, we found this place. The menu was large and the staff very accommodating. The food was delicious. My husband and I have zero complaints about our food or experience. This was the first place I've ever been that served warm bean dip with your chips. It was delicious. I can't wait to go back. Go visit Black Mountain and show support by shopping and eating there. Sharing soup and a savory crepe is a reasonable strategy if leaving leftovers in your vehicle during the summer heat is a concern. First thing I noticed was the A-99 health inspection rating. Then I was greeted by incredibly nice people behind the counter. Then I ordered a Juicy Chicken burrito and my wife ordered the shrimp tacos. YUM! These guys deliver and do catering. I'll remember them when I need some tasty Mexican food. They also have a small Mexican grocery store with super affordable prices, plus I saw a sign saying 25 cent Dos Equis drafts on Fridays. Whoa! read more

I've always had good food and service at La Bamba. THe lamb burrito was a special treat. The place reminds me of the little taquerias in West Texas. You find them everywhere in gas stations in trendas and on the street. The food is always well seasoned and fresh. Same goes for LA Bamba. Nice friendly staff and reasonable prices. read more
