3 Taco Combo. Asada, chorizo, barbacoa

Just keep driving to Reno. Rice tasted like it was a box of rice a roni. This place is fine if you don't care and just need nutrition.

    Asada Tacos

Best Asada Tacos in all of Reno!!! I've tried so many other places & nobody beats theirs. I love this place dearly, it's family ran & they truly love what they do and it shows! They always treat their customers amazing, I couldn't recommend it more! If you don't want to drive to Stead, their food truck is almost always posted inside The Eddy downtown!

This is the expiration date for an item.

They sold me EXPIRED products. I brought buldak noodles and guess what. I Thought they were edible but... I was done boiling it and I opened the sauce packet the sauce was THICK. It wouldn't come APART. I checked the bottom of the buldak cup it was EXPIRED IN 2025 APRIL. I BROUGHT another candy and guess what. It didn't taste the same, so I checked the expiration to see if it was expired. EXPIRED IN 6/11/25 and it WAS STILL on sell. I am not buying anything from this store now EXPECT I will check labels before buying ANYTHING in this store again.

My friend was craving tamales so when I went to visit her I thought I'd order from La Barca. They are close to home in a small strip mall. This store has been here for a long time and I've only gone in a couple times previously for miscellaneous items. I saw on Yelp I could place an order through the app and it was so easy. I paid with Apple, tip included and just waited for the text my order was ready! I ordered beef and pork tamales and they came to about $3 each. They came with red and green sauces and plenty of napkins. When I picked them up I saw they have tamales in their cold fridge case so next time I'll do that instead of getting them hot as we weren't eating them until later. They did have a good amount of meat and the masa was flavorful and light. Sorry no picture, next time! The store is very well stocked with about any Mexican item you might need for a meal or a fiesta!

I've never not ordered a lot of food coming here + a pina juice. The price is right here. For less than $10, you can have a GINORMOUS burrito to either share or eat later. Their quesadillas are loaded with cheese, meats, and veggies if you want. I once lied to myself when I told my brother I didn't want anything from here while he was grabbing lunch.. next thing you know, I was eating half of my brother's steak quesadilla. Also, I orders nearly 30 tacos and my order took less than 30 minutes. This was impressive because I was not the only person in line and/or who just ordered food. Quick and flavorful. It's nice when restaurants make it easy.

I was visiting some family out of state when I stumbled across this market / taqueria...These tacos de barbacoa were some of the best tacos I've ever had .. perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection .. every element of this taco were bursting with flavor and love . I ordered 4 and smacked em down . Can't wait to come back to this spot when I'm in the Reno area again. Skip the fast food and check out these tacos !!!

A few of us had a long day off-roading in the hills and stopped by this small market/ restaurant for a bite to eat. What a pleasant surprise. This small mom & pop place had some flavorful food which was prepared with love. The service made it feel like I was at home and the portions were perfect. I had the steak dish and it was delish. Make sure you order the salsas. They specialize in this and it rivals any I've ever had.

This is a convenient spot to go for lunch if you are in the area. There is a restaurant inside of the store with a few tables but I always call and order to-go. They are always very accurate with their pick up time. If you decide to dine in, they will bring you your food! It is also nice to be able to shop around if you do happen to have some time to kill. Their food is tasty but it is a little on the pricey side. I ordered 6 tacos a la carte and while extremely tasty there wasn't very much meat on them and the total was a whopping $19! Despite the taste, for the amount of food I got it was unfortunately not worth it to me. I did notice after the fact that they have a taco plate that seems like a much better and worthwhile deal. I will be getting the 3 taco plate combo next time! The burritos are very filling and for a decent price of either $10 or $11 dollars depending on what type of meat you get.

This place is incredible! We GrubHubbed for delivery and the driver must have knocked things around a bit hence the look on the pics but the taste- top notch! We ordered the pork tamale, Barbacoa tacos, side of rice, Elote on and off the cob, chicken burrito, chips and red salsa. Everything has so much flavor! The order didn't have the consumme but instead carne asada tacos. Both salsas are amazing- note the red is incredibly spicy and the green is incredibly mild. Will definitely be ordering again!!

Anna assists me almost every time I visit, and she is a absolute joy. She always has a genuine smile on her face and possesses the best attitude. Honestly, it's some of the best customer service I've ever experienced anywhere. She consistently turns a routine grocery trip into a great day. Unfortunately, my experience at the deli counter recently was the exact opposite. I went to order a sandwich and, as a first-timer, didn't realize there was a paper form I needed to fill out first. I stood waiting for assistance, and a staff member named Teri walked up, mumbled something, and immediately started to walk away. Because I couldn't hear her, I politely asked her to repeat herself. Teri responded with an incredibly dismissive attitude, acting as though asking for clarification was a major inconvenience. She then repeated, "You need to fill out the paper," speaking very condescendingly, as if I were unable to understand basic instructions. Even after I explained that I had never ordered a sandwich here before and simply didn't know the process, her attitude remained hostile. It was an incredibly uncomfortable and off-putting interaction. If it weren't for Anna completely turning my mood around at checkout per usual, I would have walked out incredibly frustrated. Management has a real gem in Anna, but they desperately need to address the customer service standards and basic courtesy at the deli counter.

Located directly off of S. Virginia St and adjacent to S. Meadows Pkwy in the southern part of Reno, this is one of three locations in the Reno metropolitan area (with the other two stores in north Reno and Sparks). The parking lot is actually quite spacious with ample room to get in and out to the main road. During my visit which was on Friday 7/3/2026 at around 1:30pm, it was fairly busy but the store itself had a great open layout. Those of you that don't know this about WinCo Foods is that they are a private employee-owned company. Prices are probably the best you will find anywhere other than Costco but here you won't get the massive crowds that Costco experiences on any given day. Keep in mind that WinCo only accepts cash, debit cards, and Apple Pay/Google Pay as they do not take credit cards of any kind. Also, you must bag your own groceries but this is their trademark to all of their locations in the western United States. I do want to add that since this is the state of Nevada, this WinCo actually has a small dedicated area (towards the front) where slot machines are available. This is great for those that want to avoid the hustle and bustle of going to an actual casino. In addition to that, they also have an area where alcohol is sold, a customer service area (where you can buy cigarettes, money orders, money transfers, payroll check cashing, and much more). Public restrooms are also available towards the front area of the supermarket. As for the store itself, much of the produce (fruit/veggies) was very fresh and well stocked. They also carry a huge assortment of bulk foods (nuts, rice, pasta, flour, candy, etc.). an amazing variety of meat & poultry, a dedicated bakery and deli section, and just about everything else you can think of. I find their selection to be much better than other big box grocery stores as this place always carries what I am looking for. Best of all, they are open 24 hours. When I made all my purchases, I went to the self check-out aisle (as they accept cash, debit, or tap-to-pay). The whole process was seamless and easy. All in all, the south Reno "WinCo Foods" gets a respectable four-star rating.

All of this while providing full-time positions and livable wages with benefits too. Winco proves it! In the 20+ years that I've been a Winco customer, I've always been treated well which is a phenomenal track record that some jerk has ruined. Why Linda, why? She was covering the service desk and I came in to return a defective item. As I approached the desk, she was looking me up and down with a very strange expression. So because of this, I wasn't affable but I definitely wasn't rude. I cut to the chase of why I was there. She treated me VERY badly which I ignored for the most part, stating that in all of the years that I've shopped at Winco I've never been treated so poorly. She responded by saying that I was the problem and invited me to call the corporate office! Then she said aggressively, "I've had three horrible customers in one day!" repeating it a few times. I asked to speak to a manager and she quipped that he was busy and he couldn't get away so I asked someone else to page him for me and she interfered with that page, telling them to cancel it. This is a brand new store and everyone else is amazing which is what I'm used to. I wrote this shortly after the store first opened and haven't had an unpleasant experience since and I shop here weekly. I also have not seen Linda. It's a great store with great employees and low prices. I'll keep buying whatever they have that I need from Winco. This store is my first go to store.
