Found this gem about 4 months ago. I love their online appointment system. They have always honored my appointment time, even when they are busy. My daughter likes designs on her acrylics and they have always been able to replicate her design photos. The salon is clean, lots of color choices and staff is always welcoming and professional. Well I have to change my review, before I loved this place, Tim is so nice, a lot of personality, the workers are so nice, gave me and my 2 daughters great service...BUT NOW, I have to share what I experience and don't want no 1 else to have to go thru what I went through. I came here on March 31st, got my nails done very short. By Tues April 3rd, my middle finger start hurting, didn't know why, normally that would happen when you bump your nails, but I didn't and my nails are very short, so I didn't know why, Wednesday, my finger was in pain, I would wake up in the middle of the night, have to run cold water on my nail to stop the pain, I soaked in alcohol, but it was only temporarily, by Thursday my finger is swollen, and pink, I didn't understand, then Saturday I went out and my family member says Sonya you need to go to hospital your finger is affected, I said I will soak it, Well Sunday before I went to church on Easter Sunday I soaked my finger in Peroxide and I got ready for church, I pet my kitten and he scratch my finger, just so happen to be middle finger. When I went to church, my finger was worse, my daughters said you need to go get that finger nail off,...When I got home I asked my oldest daughter to take me to nail salon, when she seen my finger so swollen, she took me right away, I went back and showed Tim, he didn't like how my finger looked the lady tooled off my nail. They asked is it an in growing nail, I said No, they questioned the scratch, I said No, that was from my kitten that morning, this pain been since Tuesday and each day got worse. Tim if it was from them. The pain would have been right away... No infection takes times to show up and build up. The lady took a picture of my finger and said let us know the outcome...I went to Kaiser Urgent Care. The doctor says, this is a bacteria infection. I asked him is this from a hang nail. He says this isn't a hang nail, the infection is at cuticle. So he had to numb my finger, it was the WORSE PAIN EVER to get a shot in the finger. Then doctor cut the area that was swollen, blood and puss came out. It was nasty and scary. He pressed out the infection. My finger felt better. He prescribed me antibiotics and IB 800 for pain. Tim called me while I was waiting for my prescription. Tim asked again was it a hang nail, was that from your kittens?? I told him no it's bacteria infection. I waited over a week since I last talk to Tim thinking he would reach out to me about my finger and offer something BUt No he didn't. So now I'm posting a bad review. And will never come here, and my daughters won't neither. My dad wanted me to contact a lawyer. I said No, I just won't come here ever. read more

I stopped by La Beaute Nails after taking my kids to Rock n Jump (it's in the same shopping center -- just a couple shops apart). I didn't check Yelp before stopping by which, as you know, can be a big mistake. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised! Daisy gave me a great pedicure. She really took her time and did a great job. Good service. I came here for the first time today for just a basic manicure and pedicure for nail care/maintenance. The technicians did a great job and were thorough while also being quick. It was a full house this morning and even with an appointment I had to wait a bit, but since I was in no rush anyway it was fine. Would recommend. I'm a 40 year old man that started doing pedicures because my wife thought I needed them. Now, normally I review food places and not nail salons, but since Sherry and her comadre (friend) at the salon are so awesome and make me feel welcome, I felt I had to write a quick review from a guys perspective. Since I hurt my foot, I have to take care of my feet, and having been to other nail salons this is by the far the first that takes care of business on my problematic hot spots. When I come here I don't feel rushed. My issue at other places was I felt like they were trying to get me out ASAP so they can sit a lady in my place to get the full treatment. Lately, it feels like my barber shop. I call in or make an appointment, and they are ready to go when I get there. At some other places, you will get a time but still have to wait. They are very respectful and accommodating when it comes to gettin me in. Before you know it, I'm in the chair and we're talking it up. The girls are hilarious! This place would be 5 stars . Well they are. I'm not going to lie. I've been coming here since they opened before NEW management. New management really upped the price of things. I've never paid so much for my lip & eyebrow wax. The pedicure I asked for was $35 & the total came out to $45... I'm not sure if I'll be returning because with all that being said , I got the shortest full set , no designs , no rhinestones etc & I still paid over $150. I made an appointment via Yelp several days in advance. I never heard any confirmation from them, so I called the day before, just to be safe. Sure enough, they hadn't seen my request! This was back in June... hopefully they're better now! As for doing our nails, the two ladies did a great job. No complaints on the work! However, they didn't really make conversation with us, even though it would have been easy to think of questions for my friend, who was getting married the next day. Well I have found my NEW nail place! In the last 2 months I had been disappointed with my regular salon (been going for YEARS) for constantly changing personnel recently. I like to have a set person who does my nails and I wasn't happy with the constant turnaround of employees in the recent months. So I then tried a place I had gone once before and had a horrendous experience (which I wrote them a review expressing my dislike in their work on nails). So now I couldn't wait any longer and needed a fill and pedi ASAP! I decided I'd go on Yelp and research salons here in my hometown of San Dimas. I am so happy I came across LA BEAUTY NAILS! All the reviews I read were spot on. This is a very clean, friendly salon that seems to listen to their customers. My nails look a mess and the service? Not great. The girl was very rude to me and would sigh when asked to change something. They wanted to charge me $5 extra to make my nails matte. No other salon has done this to me. one finger started to BURN and when I told her all she could say was sorry and that I might be allergic to the primer..but how only ONE nail? So I took my mom for a belated Mother's Day. I looked at the all the yelp reviews and since I do not live in the area I relied on Yelp to recommend somewhere nearby. I brought my daughter as well for a manicure. My mom doesn't pamper herself often (so her nail game may not have been on point...lol) but when the gentleman began her pedicure he laughed at her feet, which is pretty mortifying but my mom made a joke of it and said, "hey I dont pamper myself often" but I could tell it bothered her. After my daughter received her manicure she asked me if she could get a pedicure (understandably I know there are other appointments) but I caught her rolling her eyes (Her is referring to Cheri) but then Cheri said next time, next time. SO whatever move on (told my daughter we will do this again and she can have it done then), I really needed to have a decent belated mothers treat for my mom. My mom and my pedicure was nice, they did a very good job on my cuticles and painting them as well. My daughters manicure was nice and well done. My mom got a regular manicure, while I needed gel nail color removed and acrylic fills. While Cheri was sanding down my acrylics she cut into my finger, and said "sorry sorry" it hurted. I am a pretty good yelper and don't complain about much but this freakin hurt. I asked for a bandaid and she said "later, later" so I gave her the benefit of the doubt, she made a small comment "you need to relax your finger". **First of all I have never ever had this issue at any nail salon I have ever been to. She basically let the sanding tool go too fast and lost control of it and cut my finger, [see my photo] But for her to put it on me was ridiculous. But I let it go and let her finish. I washed my hands (before painting them) and then she placed a bandaid on me. She finished up and when she rang me up, I have no shame in asking for a some compensation for cutting me. I requested that she not charge me for my daughter $6 manicure, she spoke to Cathy (speaking Vietnamese) and then she said "I cant do that" So I said fine, no tip and left. I just want people to know that you can probably try out another salon over this one, because nothing exceptional was done here. It was alright....they didn't offer little perks or decorations, pretty much just rushed through my nails so that they could go on their phones while my nails dried. Like I said nothing exceptional try somewhere else first. The pedicure stations are nice it looks nice but I have received friendlier and better service at the "older" nail salons. Not sure what the deal was but I was unpleasantly surprised on how my service and experience varied vastly from others that have posted on yelp. Not sure what you could call this experience. After leaving the salon I used to frequent, I tried several salons to find one that was just right. By far, Le Beaute has been the best! The aesthetic and the decor of the salon is beautiful and clean. All tools are sanitized and they place plastic covers in their foot spas. A big plus for me. Tim, the owner, is so nice and friendly. As well as all the techs. They take their time and don't gossip w/ each other. Nice and relaxing, not loud and rushed like a mill. The prices are very reasonable and they accept several different methods of payment including Venmo, PayPal and Zelle. Super easy to place an appointment online or over the phone. Or just walk in. And they have a great texting system. I've really have never had a bad experience here. I am now a loyal customer. Nothing but good things to say! read more
