She takes her time and does a very thorough job. She is also a master of mole and skin tag removal. It's faster, cheaper and less painful than my experiences at my dermatologist. And unlike my dermatologist, the tags never come back. In addition to the great treatment - Sherry instructs how to maintain and protect your skin in between visits. I received an email from the owner regarding my review, somehow i felt threatened although my review is a complete and honest objective i have received from this business. my review is completely based on the treatment i received PARKING: Free parking at the back of the establishment . If you can't find parking there is metered parking in the front or just park I guess in Von's supermarket which the front desk told me too if I can't find parking. PLACE: Bathroom is clean , but so many cluttered like everywhere. They need to fix their interior design . The less is better , and properly organize their stuff is a must! Definitely needed make over . SERVICE: The girl who did my treatment she is nice , but very poor service since before she did my treatment . She never even offered to gargle prior to treatment . There is no prep . Right away you get seated and boom, application here and there , first 20 mins and second 20 mins. She constantly check on me though which is nice and after my treatment she asked me to gargle in the bathroom. Lol I have to walk all the way to the bathroom to do my post treatment . And she didn't even close the door where am laying down . My privacy is completely open to anyone sitting in the waiting room . I was in the first room on the right side, I can even wave to my boyfriend while am getting my treatment . When I checked my teeth nothing's really happen . I got the deal from groupon. Reviews can be deceiving. Went here for the first time and I will never be going back. I was disrespected, lied to in my face, and bullied by not one, but two women. Aren't grown woman supposed to better than this? The woman who did my Brazilian did a very poor & incomplete job so when I politely asked for her to get the many hairs that she had left behind she made fun of me. How rude and completely unprofessional. You should be ashamed of yourself. Ladies, if you love & respect yourself , please do yourself a favor and make sure you fully investigate a business before going to them especially this one. Dear Shirin, I would like to clear up a few things in your message to me. People make mistakes on reading things all the time. My bad, but I do understand and respect policies. But that's not what I had a problem with. My issue was that I was told by the girl who did my waxing, that your spa would honor the price I paid for my other Groupon, but once I reveled what price I paid she immediately couldn't honor it because I had received a 20% off code through Groupon. What about respecting your word & ethics? So with the 20% off code I paid $108.80. Great deal for three microdermabrasion. I was consistently being told that it's $110 just for one treatment. She wasn't going to honor it. Well I have no control over discounts for Groupon and especially not your business. That's completely out of my hands. Oh by the way, today on Groupon the price for the same treatment I purchased just went down to $105. Now I'd like to take the time to discuss the incomplete & very poor Brazilian wax I received by your girl of 30 years of experience. I've been getting Brazilian waxes for 15+ years now and I have never asked for my lower back to be waxed. I have very light skin which means I have blonde colored hair so there would be no point in getting that part of my body waxed. By the way I still have my back hairs. The hair I was referring to was still in the Brazilian waxing zone and for a professional with years of experience to make fun of your private area it's completely mortifying not to mention so disrespectful and unprofessional. Also your girl forgot to test your wax before applying it to my private area and she burned me. I have pictures. Not to mention the lotion she put on after stung me as well so I had to use the restroom right after my appointment to wipe it off with a water soaked towel. Thank goodness your restroom had that available. No disrespect, but you weren't there during my waxing session so you're only going by the word of your girl, but now I have shared with you my side of what happened. Don't waste your time. I'm updating this review because I wrote the same day I got the procedure. I recently got my brows microbladed again because Shirin's work didn't last even a year. I thought her process was standard but turns out hers is the lazy version of what the microblading process should really be. The microblading process was not described to me (prep, procedure, and post care), numbing cream was a joke so the pain was a level 9-10, my brows weren't outlined prior to, and the pigment began flaking out like the 3rd day after I had gotten the procedure. To date, March 2019, there was NO trace of pigment that I had even gotten my brows microbladed in September 2017 when it should last at least 3 years (based on what I was told). Proceed with caution or pay more and actually get quality work done that will last. read more

I considered a 4 star rating. I had a good experience, the salon feels welcoming and clean. I talked with Sherry to book, she called to confirm my appointment and she did my treatment, I found her to be professional and friendly. I went for an ipl laser treatment, and I have not had one before to compare. There is definitely room for improvement in covering the eyes, the eye covers were left loose and the intense light gets to your eyes. I also agreed to an up sell of "pore cleaning" but I figured it couldn't hurt and felt that supporting the business with a purchase was the right thing as I had gotten a great "deal" on the ipl treatment. I get brazilian wax's from Sherry and she's amazing! Super fast and efficient and barely any pain. I always feel very welcomed and comfortable. The ambiance of the La Beaute Spa is calm and relaxing. As far as eyebrow waxing goes, I went a week or so ago and I wasn't too pleased with it considering the price which was $25. Another beautician worked on me, not Sherry, and she was really sweet and kind but did not clean up my eyebrows very well. She did her best not to touch too much of it so as not to take away from the shape but, instead, it just looked unfinished. \ Overall, this spa is great and offers many other treatments besides waxing so I would definitely encourage you to go check it out! read more

I got three ipl treatments and had no results. There was zero discomfort, which was not my experience when getting ipl in a doctor's office. In the doc's office I had numbing cream applied and waited 10 minutes before the treatment, and it still hurt a bit, and I also had some freckles flake off after about 4 days. Here the laser was red, which again, was definitely not the same thing I had experienced previously. The eye covers were really strange: little paper caps, which didn't quite work over my long eyelashes. I thought it was very odd that she put a peel on my skin at the end of the ipl and told me to leave it on overnight. My skin wasn't cleaned thoroughly prior to the treatment, but I decided to do as I was told. My skin peeled pretty badly, and I had something like a rash for a couple of days. For the next two peels that she put on after the laser, I washed it off when I got home, and had nice results. I also purchased a facial, which was nice, but nothing special. I did like the lady who did the treatments, but I can see how people could find her abrasive. The door to the treatment room was never closed. read more

I live in Santa Monica, so I saw the adds/coupons for this place on monthly mailer. I decided to get a foot massage last summer at this place, the masseur was Japanese, he was very good (I'm not saying this because I'm from Japan, he was genuinely good), when I was cashing out the lady at front (I think it was Sherry) told me they have great facials. I was yelping this place few days ago when I got back in town, I found a groupon deal for Microdermabrasion, so I decided to try. Initially I made an appointment over the phone (without mentioning groupon) then the next day, I came into the place (since I'd never used groupon before, I didn't know how it worked), she told me I would've had to give her the groupon code when I called her, so she could't take me that day but she made another appointment for me without any problem for the next day. I came back to the place today, finally got my first Microderm and she recommended that it's better to get it with Acne treatment facial since I have deep pores. She started with Acne facial to extract my clogged pores, and it wasn't unbearable but it hurt a little, so I was a bit worried, because when I first got my pore extraction in Beverly Hills few months ago, the girl was digging so deeply, I still have a red mark on my nose and they charged me "Beverly Hills Price"... But after Sherry finished the facial, I looked my face in the mirror, I had no red marks but my face looked glowing and so clean, I love it! I have another treatment left with groupon so I made another appointment. I don't know what other people were saying about her, but she was very nice and knowledgable. Excellent spa! If you read, bad reviews are mainly of people who want to change times or days of appts. Not really for the services. I have had microdermabrasion treatments there and they are amazing. My face tends to get black spots and with their micro I go back to normal again. The first time i tried it, like in 2012, I was a little hesitant but Sherry made me feel very comfortable and I got the package. It worked amazingly. Sherry explained the process she's really nice and polite. Edy is amazing too. The place very clean, calm. The music is so relaxing. I love it! I need to go back. Her place both in Santa Monica and Hermosa Beach is immaculately clean, and all the wax and lasers she uses are the latest and greatest. I travel a lot to conferences for work, and I can always call her last second, and she always manages to rearrange some things and find a way to take care of her long time clients. I have referred her several high end corporate clients as well as some top Fashion people, and everyone has loved their experience. Conveniently located in Santa Monica, the work performed at the Spa is second to none, and the prices are quite competitive and more then fair. I am a former triathlete and former competitive Simmer and don't like hair on my body and Sherri, always leaves my skin glowing with very little pain, and she is so quick, to accommodate my busy schedule. My sister is always telling me La Beaute Salon is the best skin care facials she's ever experienced. She's been going to La Beaute for over 15 years, on and off she tried other shops in between but always goes back to La Beaute because it's much better than the others.. So, I finally went. FAKE PLACE! DO NOT GO!!! I SO wish I had yelped this place before I bought a voucher from AmazonLocal. This place IS TERRIBLE. I have been getting IPL photo facials off and on for a few years now, so I know how its supposed to go. The woman at the front gave me severe attitude because I didn't print my voucher, even though it plainly says on the online receipt I can just show my phone. They acted like I tried to steal something, but finally relented. Then she took it out on me by making my 20 minute appointment 10 minutes. I know because my friend arrived in less than 20 minutes since I had been on the phone with her and she was surprised I was done already. When I said something to the woman, she sniped that it was 20 minutes from the moment I stepped into the room. She told me I had rosacea (I dont) so she had to set the machine on the lowest setting. It was so low the machine did not have to reset for my friend (they told us since they only had one machine our appointments had to be an hour apart, but she took my friend in right away). This meant that the ipl did ZERO for my skin. Its been over 3 weeks, and I've done this multiple times so I know how my skin responds. It was a HUGE waste of money. AND she patted what amounted to barely a smidge of spf on my face afterwards, and everyone knows you have to put a lot on, especially after a photofacial. IMO, this person is just a random woman who was trained how to turn a very expensive machine on, and NOT a professional. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT EVER COME HERE. There's only a few hundred other places you could go where they know what they're doing. I SO regret not reading these other reviews- other people have had 0 results. I'm starting to wonder if that "IPL" they're doing is nothing but a flash of light- usually I feel a rubber band snap pain, but this time I felt NOTHING. I saw that they had a Groupon deal for microdermabrasion facials so I called to make an appointment. The lady was extremely rude to me over the phone when I told her I hadn't bought the Groupon yet so she told me to get the bar code and call back with the code. After purchasing the Groupon deal immediately after we got off the phone, I called again but I had trouble finding the bar code so she was again, extremely rude and told me not to call back unless I had the bar code and hung up on me. Once I found the bar code, I called back and she sent me straight to voicemail. My mom and I have been going to La Beaute Spa for several years now, more specifically to Edith. We have had laser teeth whitening treatments, European facials as well as massage treatments here. Edith always makes us feel comfortable and I appreciate the fact that I get a true European facial experience with extractions and a mask unlike some other spas. I would never return to nor recommend this spa. I went to La Beaute for a facial based on a great experience my husband had with the massage therapist. I booked the facial at the last minute on a Friday night and appreciated them getting me in -- it had been a long week! Unfortunately, Sherry (the facialist) decided to attend to her closing duties at the same time she was giving me the facial -- she ran in and out of the facial room throughout the hour. It made me feel as though she was just going through the motions to get one more customer in before closing. There are also no "extras" I've been treated to at other facial salons -- i.e. hand massages and warming mittens while masks are setting, etc. Sherry asked me what type of facial I wanted -- I replied just a basic facial. When I went to pay for both the facial and the products I needed, the total seemed high. She told me the facial was at the first-time customer discount of $85. Throughout the night, I was bothered by the total and I returned the next day to question the charges. Sherry was very defensive saying they don't overcharge their customers (which I wasn't accusing her of -- I thought it was an honest mistake). Upon further questioning the total, I found out she gave me an enzyme treatment that was an additional $35. She never asked me if I wanted it, nor did she tell me about it when I asked about the cost of the facial. Of course, she begs to differ. Sherry could have easily refunded my $35 in good faith, which would have been a good long-term business decision. Unfortunately, she was not willing to do so all the while taking a defensive stance. As such, I returned one of the unopened products I purchased and she has lost not only a repeat facial customer, but a massage customer as well. My husband says he will never go back -- an unfortunate outcome for the massage therapist. read more
