I don't even know where to begin and don't have time to write my experience. I'll just say this, if you want acrylic nails or fills, do NOT go here. They may look nice at first, but they chip and fall off. Then to make matters worse, they only "guarantee" them for 3 days and repairs are $5. I've had acrylics for 20 years and have never had issues until I came here. They are not friendly either. Also, be aware that they will push to add services or get new nails. If you go for a wax they will tell you that you need more waxing and just start without permission. UGH! Such an awful experience. I hope they resolve these issues otherwise we'll loose a business here in Steiner Ranch. read more

I have been going here for about a year now and I am always impressed with their exceptional customer service. All their nail technicians are very precise with their skill. You will not walk out unless you have perfect nails and toes. If they make a tiny mistake, or feel that their client is unhappy in anyway they will immediately fix the problem. No one is rushing which is impressive, because they are very busy! I am also very picky when it comes to cleanliness. I work in the medical field, so I guess you could say I'm a little OCD when it comes to clean nail clippers and nail files. They pass the test with flying colors! I have been going to Kirsten/kim (she goes by both names) for quite awhile and so does my husband. she does an amazing job and the mani pedi lasts a long time. I have some ingrown issues and she handles everything with care and relieves any discomfort. I really don't understand why there are so many negative reviews unless they are bogus and done by the competition. I just moved to Steiner and I have to say I put this place in with the 5 star spas I have been to over the years. This place is clean, professional and for a nail place, very posh. Their color selection far exceeds others. They have very nice massage chairs (remote is in the pouch on side of chair). There are many options depending on how much time you have. They even have complimentary beverages including wine. I am extremely picky and was willing to drive 30 mins to go to the place I have gone to for the past 10 yrs. Can't say enough about LaBella. I get a deluxe pedicure and get manicure about every 2 weeks. I've been going here for at least 6 months and have always had amazing experiences. Last week, I went in for a manicure only. By day 4, two nails had completely lost their polish and the others were all lifting. This has NEVER happened before at LaBella. When I went I to have the nails fixed, they not only knew me, but remembered when I had the manicure done. They fixed my nails quickly and I was on my way. I highly recommend LaBella! I have been going to this salon for over a year. It has a beautiful setting, staff always is nice and accomodating. The place is always clean. They treat me very well there and the girls are so polite and nice and try to give you their best. Some of the reviews below sound like they come from spoiled , bratty women. they complain about petty things and don't appreciate a nice salon in their neighborhoods. I am an international woman and I travel all around the world. I appreciate cultures and different languages spoken. That's what makes a well rounded American. The WORST. My friend and I just went in to get a mani/pedi and a brow and lip wax. We seriously had the worst time, it was not relaxing at all. They rushed the process, the girl who did my nails cut me twice and there were no massagers in the chair. To make things worse I was charged $62 for the whole thing. $45 for the mani/pedi and $17 for the waxing. When I called earlier that day whoever I spoke to told be the mani/pedi was $35. We complained, but they didn't do anything about the price. I don't mind paying a little extra from time to time, but this was NOT worth it! They also offer complimentary drinks...for some reason we were not offered anything when we arrived. Don't waste your money at this place! read more

I have to say I'm being a certified cosmo and teacher this place all acted like they wasnt confident on what they do ..I had 3different ppl work on my nail couldnt get not one to fix the crooket tip before putting on product on nail not one nail match the other...I'm steady telling them I have an important event I'm attending but he didn't care ...so I stop him from continue on my nail I got up he went to grab my hand to clip my nail I asked him not to touch me and I couldn't believe he let me walk out with these hateful looking nails....to top it off he charged me full price for a set of nails that anyone would be embarrassed to even let others look at !!!! #lessonlearn read more

I have been to this nail salon more times than I can count. I usually do shellac manicures and pedicures, as well as brow waxing. I honestly have NEVER had a bad experience here at all! I have patronized all of the Steiner nail salons and really prefer this one. I usually ask for Jenny when making appointments, but even if she is not available I am well taken care of! They go the extra mile with neck massages during manicures...a lovely surprise! I would highly recommend La Bella nails- just don't over-book my Jenny! :) read more

This place used to be awful but they have REALLY turned it around. The people are so friendly now. I went a few times in the past and left feeling like I had been emotionally abused but have been going again because I had one GREAT experience and then another and now I take my little girl with me and they give her a little manicure and make her feel special and they are all smiling and happy and I feel great about bringing them business. I am confused as to why this place has any stars. I've been to many mani/pedi salons in both Austin and Chicago and this was the was probably the worst overall experience and technical job I've experienced. They seemed annoyed when I walked in, the guy who did my mani pedi didn't speak to me, I paid extra for extra massage on my pedi (being 9 mos preggo I wanted a treat!) and all I got was a salt scrub which he "massaged" in too hard and for way too long causing stinging and burning. It's been 2.5 days and the polish has already peeled off. I paid $80 for a basic mani and the upgraded pedi. I wouldn't go back or recommend to anyone. There are many places that do a way better job for a lot less $$. read more

I asked for a regular pedicure and was given a $40 one, which is not even a price listed in their brochure. I guess when the woman was asking me Qs off and on she asked me if I wanted this, which I did not. So, she told me I could pay $35 then $30. I could not believe she was bargaining with me. The young girl next to me spoke on her cell phone part of the time. I hate that when you are out getting a special treat for yourself. After I pulled out my cell phone and started talking she got the idea and hung up. This place has no policy that cell phones arent to be used and I know that some places do now. Lastly, they did not want to take my VISA debit card, but kept pushing me to pay cash. I didnt have any on me so they begged me to pay by check and to not put who to on the check but leave it blank. I think they run a very shady business and will never go back again and cannot recommend it. read more

Be very careful when dropping your teenage daughter off at La Bella Nail. They treat teenagers like 2nd class customers. Rude, sloppy and unaccommodating. They frequently do not honor appointment times. Today was the last time I will take my daughter here. I dropped her off at the salon myself at 12:10 for a 12:15 appointment. She entered, signed in and stepped over to choose a nail polish and then sat back down. After about 15 minutes she approached the counter to ask about her appointment. The lady said she was giving her appointment away because "you were late... I saw you come to the counter at 12:30" when my daughter tried to explain to the lady that in fact she was there at 12:10 and had signed in and chose a nail color, the lady dismissed her and continued to insist that she was late and that the next walk in in line was getting her appointment. Then the lady proceeded to make my daughter wait 2 hours to get her nails done. And was condescending and rude the whole way through continuing to lecture my daughter about being late. Not the first bad experience but for sure it be the last because I will not allow those people to treat her that way again. I suspect that many teenage girls have had similar experiences but put up with them because they just want to get their nails done but tacit approval of poor customer service only serves to encourage more and even worse behavior by people like them. Teach your daughter to have more self respect than to honor these people with her business. There are plenty of other places to take them to... read more

Was there last week. The place is very nice inside and the staff seems nice. Although they were busy my wait was not very long. The lady that I had stopped my pedicure to finish another lady while I waited. Nails: Had a solar fill. The fill started off ok. But the lady kept asking me questions about where I got my nails done. And asked why I did not have gel nails. And before I answered she said I should get them today. I told her no. That I just wanted the solar. So she started working on my nails. And as she worked she would ask if I wanted the gel (which I found weird since I had already stated no). She would ask as she was using the machine (the one they use to file and cut nails-it can burn if the machine is turned up high- sounds like a drill). Every time I said no she would burn me with the machine! I thought at first that it was just a mistake because sometimes it does happen if they don't pull the nail bed back far enough. But I noticed every time I said no I want to stick to solar nails and not go to gel she would burn me! She asked a lot! And burned me every time! She got angry over it! She also lectured me on why I should get gel nails. Said it would be in my best interest. I was like, "Ok. Noted. I like my solar nails. So I will keep them." I finally had to pull my hand from hers because I kept saying that I hurt. I told her it hurt and she was burning me. She said she was done with my left hand. The right hand was only burned a few times! The next day I noticed that part of the skin under the nail bed of my pinky finger of my left hand was missing the skin! And that 3 of my fingers still burned like heck from the experience. It took 3 days for my fingers to stop burning! They were red and swollen! Wish I had taken a picture of them. My nails also looked bad the next day! I've been trying to file and work on them myself, as I went away the next day on a trip to another state and did not want to stop at another nail salon with my fingers still burning!!!! Especially in another state! It was Horrible! Pedi: I received the $50 pedicure. With this you get to pick the salts and other mask/mud type items for your feet. I also got the hot towel which felt good! I thought the pedi was ok and that she had washed all the stuff off my legs. It appeared to be washed off. Once I left the Spa I went to the store. Everyone kept watching me. I went into the bathroom to wash my hands and noticed that I still had a lot of the stuff from my pedicure still covering the back of my legs! It stood out like a sore thumb! I think I did not notice it because my fingers were in pain! I tried washing it off and it had dried on. So when I got home I had to shower to get it off! Not good considering it was $50! Will not go back! My fingers are finally not hurting! Not sure how long it will take for my skin to grow back on my finger! Stay away unless you like being burned! read more

I had my daughter's eyebrows waxed here and I was able to watch the process. I asked her to clean up the brow and give a slight arch shape. She didn't even put the wax near the eyebrow, so when she said she was done it didn't look any different. I had to explain my expectations and have her completely redo the process putting my daughter through extra pain on her sensitive skin. THE WORST PART IS - SHE USED THE SAME APPLICATION STICK TO APPLY AND THEN RE-DIPPED INTO THE WAX POT! YUCK!!! SO UNSANITARY! I SHUTTER TO THINK WHAT IS IN THAT WAX. MY DAUGHTER HAD LITTLE BLOODY FOLLICLES SO WHO KNOWS WHAT IS GROWING IN THERE! After having her go back and fix the brow, so didn't do them uniformly. the left was trimmed and the right was still long. I used to get pedicures there, but I don't plan to anymore. my last three haven't lasted very long and many of the chairs are broken. It just doesn't have a good feel anymore. read more

Loved this place the first time there. Got a shelac mani and it was great. Next time I went I wanted the delux mani and upgraded pedi. One person started on me but stopped and the guy there explained she didn't know how to do the last part of the pedi.......another person finished it off. Then the mani: she barely touched my cuticles and did a lot of clipping sound but when I left my cuticles were in just as bad a shape as before I walked in the door. Also the girl had to stop (the guy explained again to me that she didn't know how to do shelac ) so he did it. All in all 4 different people "worked " on me that day!! RIDICULOUS!! Added note, the pedi massage: I had to expressly ask to do my feet . she just wanted to massage my calves!! Also on the mani, he just wanted to massage my arms--I have arthritic fingers and pleaded for him to massage. he would , but briefly just like the girl doing my pedi. Been having my nails done at La Bella for about 6-8 months. Everyone is friendly and nice and all the nail techs have done a great job BUT Jenny is the best! She spends time on the massage and is really good at it. As for the mani and pedis she is very meticulous and really cares whether or not you are happy. If something isn't right such as you want your nails shorter or something she is quick to fix it. She is amazing . She doesn't get as much credit as she deserves so go in and ask for Jenny! read more
