Sheik's Bakery is a hidden gem with amazing food and unbeatable lunch specials! I stopped by during a busy lunch hour, and while the line was long, the staff was super attentive and friendly. I had the chow mein half with fried rice and BBQ chicken--everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. My partner ordered the curry chicken with rice and peas, and we both couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was. We also shared fried okra, pumpkin, a large chicken roti, and a samosa--every single item was packed with flavor and clearly made with love. The prices are very reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get. They do get pretty busy, so I recommend ordering online ahead of time for a quick pickup if you're in a rush. Definitely adding this to our regular lunch spot rotation!

Went by to Sheiks Cafe for lunch today. I ordered my usual chicken roti and pumpkin, and also to my order, I added pies and a soda. Today's service was on point! The wait time was less than 5 minutes, which was amazing. Keep up the great job, ladies. Love that Sheiks, have a large dining area for lunch/dinner. They also sell a lot of Caribbean products( pepper sauces, snacks, and drinks!

Located close to home, I frequently come here to order my roti to go. The ambiance is very casual and mostly for to go orders. There is some seating however the restaurant gets pretty packed with to go orders that dining in can be a little difficult. I normally order the dhal puri skin which is special order and get my curry and pumpkin on the side instead of wrapped. The curry is very flavorful, the portions are good. The pumpkin just adds a sweet touch to the savory meal. Order ahead as there is a long line to place to go orders. I heard that the patties are fantastic so can't wait to go back and try it.

In a shopping mall on Pines and University in Pembroke Pines is this Caribbean cafeteria and shop specializing in roti breads. It has Caribbean products for purchase, s bakery with different roti breads, snd a cafeteria to order a meal. I had a curry shrimp roti sandwich. The sandwich was huge snd very filling. Lots of shrimp. Loved the curry spices. I will definitely return.

I haven't had Guyanese food in 15 years. The moment I tasted the food, all of these wonderful memories came flooding back, and I cried. Thank you so much for being here. I'm gonna be coming by a lot!

Well we where at work the other day and wondering where we would go to have lunch on a Friday. One of my staff mentioned Sheik's Cafe and said the food was excellent and affordable and that we should check it out. After a bit of discussion we all decided to check it out as we where all in the mood for some good Roti and some Dahl. The layout of the restaurant is a market / restaurant type setup. To order food you basically make a line to order your food, pay and then pick it up after you pay. I ordered the Veggie Somosa's and the Chicken Rôti with Dahl. Both items were excellent. Somosa's were crisp and hot and very tasty. The Roti was awesome as well. Feel free to ask for the hot stuff but be careful the hardcore homemade hot sauce is pretty hot. They have a nice selection of food items so you can't go wrong for lunch. This is also a family owned business and you can tell they do all the cooking so it is pretty legit. After your done you can walk around the market and check out the middle eastern food products which are pretty interesting. Parking should not be a problem as it is located in a mall that has plenty of it. This place seems to get pretty busy, so you may want to get there early for lunch if you are on a tight schedule. So if you are in the mood for some good middle eastern fair for lunch and are in the area, you may want to check them out and support a family business while you are at it. Enjoy and Bon Appétit!

We ordered a few items on the menu such as butter chicken, karari bhindi, lamb and chicken vindaloo, shrimp tikka masala and aloo paratha. Everything was delicious with the perfect amount of heat (spice level). Desert consisted of kulfi, ras malai and of course my fav, the mango lassi. We left Mantra with lots of leftovers and happy tummies. Definitely worth checking out for all your favorite Indian cuisines!

Apparently this has been there for over a year but I've never heard or seen this place despite being in the plaza several times in the year. I was looking for something different or new. While searching Indian, this came up and the Himalayan aspect peaked my interest. Particularly the momo dumplings being something I've never seen before sold me on this spot. The space is small but spacious, clean and bright. The hostess/waitress was nice and helpful when I asked for recommendations. We ordered the HIMALAYAN THALI SET( FOR TWO) which came with an appetizer, 4 entrées, 2 desserts, naan of your choice and rice. We were told it would take a while to come out because it all comes out at once. We said it was fine and ordered some steamed chicken momo to hold us over till the food came. Our chili paneer app from our set came out and it was quite tasty with a good spice/flavor. Maybe 10ish minutes later our thali set came out. We went with our waitress rec for one veggie (aloo gobi), one chicken (karahi), one lamb (korma), and one seafood (shrimp tikki masala). It came with one bowl of rice for 4 bowls of food. We chose the garlic naan but they had many different more creative options to choose from. The naan was good but not great. The aloo gobi was tasty as was the shrimp tikki masala. The lamb korma sauce was delish but the lamb pieces were a little hit or miss with some tender but others a little harder or dry. Maybe another 10 minutes after our main dishes arrived, the steamed momo arrived. It was tasty and very layered with different flavors that I couldn't quite pinpoint. For dessert we got the kheer and mango kulfi which were unique. Without having a reference point for what a regular entree size is, it's kind of hard to say the cost value in the thali set for two, but if it's your first time and you want to try a a few things, it's probably worth it. I will be back to try the lunch specials next time.

It has a clean and bright dining room that seats at least 50 with a few odd pieces for decor (umbrellas and a spinning disco ball). The restaurant is advertised as Indian, Bangladeshi, and Pakistani. But the cuisine is just what we wanted. There was no lunch menu. So we ordered from the regular offerings. I wanted goat kadhai curry but since there was none listed, I settled for chicken kadhai curry. My cousin-in-law ordered chicken tikka masala. You have a choice of either rice or naan with your meal. We both had rice and got a side order of naan. We ordered mild because of my past experience with the food here being very peppery. We probably could have gone up a level, but the mild was flavorful and had a decent amount of spiciness. Both meals were good and boasted tender and well-seasoned chicken. I thought the kadhai was a bit oily, but it was still tasty. We loved the naan, especially dipped in the tamarind chutney that I requested. During the two hours that we dined, we were the only ones in the restaurant, so service was quick and attentive. Our meal was about $22 each including tax and tip. I hope to go back and try a few other dishes.

I could've just had two orders of those and been happy. The chicken tikka fries were such an insane portion, definitely enough for 2. The chicken was juicy and fresh. The tikka was pretty spicy, but not spicy enough to ruin the meal. Just spicy enough maybe to make the nose run a little, but leave you wanting more. The paneer tacos were super unique. Ive never seen anything like it. They weren't skimpy on the paneer either, would absolutely order these again! Overall with everything we ordered, and a soda, the total came to $53.40. Considering we didn't have to eat for the rest of the day, and two of the items we got were unique, I'd say it was worth the money and I would for sure be back to try other things.
