The fact that I had touched the food was also raised, even though cutting into the steak was the only way to determine the extent of the issue. My girlfriend is Peruvian, and I chose this restaurant in the hope of surprising her with a well regarded local Peruvian dining experience. Instead, the quality of the steak and the manner in which the situation was handled made the experience feel markedly less refined and professional than expected. I left my phone number and requested that the owner contact me, as I am still giving the business an opportunity to address the matter directly. A sincere apology and a reasonable resolution would have been enough to preserve the relationship. As it stands, however, Emelina's #2 lost what could have been a loyal, long term customer.
