He also recommended cutting the locks since he couldn't make replacement keys, which means I will have to purchase some new bike locks again soon. Regardless, grateful for Jin to provide evening and weekend services! But having seen him work on other people's shoes and seeing all the equipment he had indicated to me that he was an experienced cobbler. And I am glad I came to him. Also, some of our intake conversations were over text, so I wish we discussed the job over photos so they knew what we wanted to do in terms of the job and give us a proper quote. Just felt very scammy and weird after them asking for money without starting the job.

I'm so glad I was passing through La Cienega and happened to be in such a rush to change my locks that I took a chance with LA Best Locksmith! As soon as I called them to come by, Alon came over half an hour later and got the job done very quickly, efficiently, giving me a better price than all 3 of the other companies which I had called since I had no idea what the going rate was. I lost my car keys and needed new ones programmed and LA Best delivered a 5 star service. Ron who was dispatched to assist me arrived under one hour. He was professional and had a smile throughout the process-- which took longer for him because my car battery was dead, and he did not upcharge for the extra service. In fact he worked within my budget constraints and he kept to the price as quoted. He must of spent almost two hours the entire process, and he was really friendly despite the extra time and effort. The official roadside assistance told me that it is not possible to unlock the car roadside because it would cause the car to go into "immobilization mode"! AAA said the same thing! Well guess what? After two minutes he found the blank and didn't charge me much for it, also he was very friendly and talkative which was nice for passing the two minutes finding the special key. Regarding a locked file cabinet, he said he will probably be able to pick the lock but if that doesn't work he would have to drill a hole in the lock to open it. When I asked if a spare key could be made, he even gave me a number to a lock and key company and said I can try calling them to see if a code could be used to make a spare key. He ended up being able to pick the lock very quickly with no damage to the file cabinet. He exceeded expectations and charged a fair price. I will call him back for other jobs now that I know he is trustworthy, reasonably-priced, competent at his job, and a nice low-key (no pun intended) patient guy.
